Very happy with their service. I have a special neon yellow motorcycle jacket that I was afraid of cleaning bc I didn't want the color to fade. Label specifically stated" "No machine wash. No dry cleaning." On top of that I had a beautiful sacred heart embroidery patch glued on the back at the top. So I went with hand washing. When I went to pick it up the hand wash was perfect! Not a spot left and no fading. However the patch had fallen off during cleaning. They offered to glue back on for free. Or for a nominal fee have it stitched so it would hold permanently. I went with stitching. Small correction was requested on the slight off placement but they corrected that --all the while very gracious and friendly. I will use them a LOT more now. This was my first experience going to the cleaners in LA and this place was great. I walked in and every employee greeted me with so much kindness and patience. They were busy but also had plenty of time for me, which made me feel even better about choosing this local business. They quickly processed my order of three (wedding guest) dresses and gave me a receipt with the cost and date to return. It was $62 for all three and the dresses were ready in two days. On my way out I noticed they also have a tailor and got a pair of jeans hemmed for $20. Another local business quoted me almost double for the jeans. I recently took in a vintage shirt that needed cleaning and a suede patch got slightly damaged in the process-- I wasn't worried about that, but was really impressed by the lengths they went to repair it. They gave me a variety of options for replacement colors and textures-- and didn't even charge me for the cleaning or the repair. The Frederick cleaners must have a long way to improve their company professionalism and business ethics. I had a project to cut 4 standard 48" wide drapes making them a flew inches shorter. They ask $150 that already sounded overpriced. But because I was with them for almost a decade I agreed, giving them a generous amount of time, more than a week to complete the job. I explained to them my situation: drapes should be ready by Friday 09/27-24 because on Saturday early morning I have to take them 100ml away and install at my client residence with professional installers. They said Friday. I called on Thursday afternoon to confirm that Friday was my pick up time. They confirmed Friday after 5pm. It took me 40 min to drive to the cleaners on Friday. I was there at 5:15pm. Even though, their business opened until 7pm, a lady who was taking care of my project been leaving saying goodbye to her coworkers. To my surprise, my project wasn't ready. They suggested to come the next day afternoon. I had to cancel my appointment, and was able to reschedule only in 2 weeks due to the installers busyness. When I came to got the drapes, I explained to the business owner how their unprofessionalism and lies affected my business reputation. I also felt violated and emotional disturbed by his employees ignoring their professional responsibilities, making me waist my time and resources. Just as a courtesy I asked the owner of 20-30$ discount to make me whole. He became furious telling me I was stingy and chip. That they steamed the drapes (that is absolutely necessary if you alter an item). It was rude and unreasonable. He made it clear that he doesn't care about my feelings, time, and effort. He cares about his workers who are honest people, and I should be ashamed. He kept telling me that the original price was way too affordable in the first place - irrelevant excuse. After all this years this company appeared to be untrustworthy with a poor business model and zero loyalty to their customers. This place is only for people who like to be abused. read more

For the last ten years this has been the only place I bring my clothes and bedding etc for cleaning. I work in an industry where my clothes always have to look like new and not only do my clothes come back looking better than new but if a button is falling off or I put a tear in the fabric they have the ability to clean and repair everything right on site for what seems like insanely low pricing. Granted I haven't been to many dry cleaners in my life but after a handful of experiences with places that were inconsistent or overpriced I found my place and never left. I found Frederick Cleaners online and as it's local- I wanted to check them out. I have a big bag full of clothes that were quite ill-fitting (some trousers too long, some too bagg around the waist, dresses to baggy around the waist etc); and brought them with me. My husband also had a white jacket we asked to get dry cleaned. They have a little room you can get changed in for in-person fittings, which is really handy. The staff are so friendly and helpful! I bought a lot of garments at a sample sale and some things had makeup or dust on them and some had small tears in the seams but I knew it could be fixed and a normally $200 item would be saved. The staff here is very friendly and she gave me estimates up front for the tailoring. They did a great job of removing any makeup stains and repairing the items that needed small fixes - one dress had the straps sewn on backwards and Fredericks fixed it by taking them out and sewing them in the correct way). All in all a great experience and I'll definitely be back for any of their dry cleaning or tailoring services. read more

Last night I tried it for the very first time for a party event and my suit and pants were shrunk so much that I couldn't wear it to my event. I went to this cleaners for YEARS and never had a problem. Then they ruined an expensive shirt and yikes they handled the situation extremely poorly. In fact, I am still waiting for a manager to call me. I went in 3 times to discuss and was told a manager would call and it never happened. ALTERATION NIGHTMARE This review is for the alteration services specifically. While I have always had a consistent and positive experience with the dry cleaning services, the alterations have been horrific. A very simple and straightforward hemming job on several items only resulted in all of them falling apart within a 1-3 months period. These are not items that are worn daily nor are they washed on anything but a delicate cycle and have never gone in the dryer. Frederick's gave me 1 complimentary re-hemming of one of the items but refused to take responsibility for the other items that fell apart. I want to note that their alterations were also quite expensive (meaning that I am pretty much out $140+) and now have to re-incur the cost on getting everything re-hemmed elsewhere. Tip to everyone out there - DO NOT GET YOUR ALTERATIONS DONE HERE. Tip to management - GET A NEW ALTERATION STAFF SO YOU DON'T LOSE YOUR DRY CLEANING CUSTOMERS read more

There is no other cleaners in town with such a "can do" attitude. I am always in a rush and they always have my clothes ready immediately. The staff smiles and they're open 7 days/week. The same owners have a shoe repair place right next door which is nice if you don't want to go to a million different places to get your stuff done. I used to go to Sloan's across the street--they blew a big event for me when they failed to get a suit cleaned by the time they they had promised--couldn't be bothered to say even "sorry for the inconvenience"... Hey, no problem, since as a result I discovered the delightful people across the street--they are genuinely warm, friendly people, recognize their customers by sight if not by name, always do a great job ON TIME... and their on-site tailor, with whom I initially held my breath as I left Tom Ford, Prada and Gucci items for restructuring, I now trust with pretty much any post-purchase tailoring I do... she's never let me down. This is the kind of business I actively enjoy patronizing, not just use as a necessity.
