We stopped in for dinner and were very impressed with Galiano. Our server, Cici, was pleasant and friendly as well as informative about the menu. The space is quite small, you should definitely make reservations before trying to come because it will fill up quite fast. The drinks were very good, my Italian Old Fashioned was made well and was strong enough to justify the price. My wife tried the namesake Galiano wine and she loved it. She is typically hard to impress and she repeatedly stated how good the wine is. The food was delicious, we ordered the Octopus appetizer along with Tagliatelle in Truffe Butter and the Wagyu Steak. All of the food was cooked perfectly, had quality ingredients and left us wanting more. The portion sizes are "European" (see very small) but they do tell you that when you sit down. Overall it reminded us of a NYC dinner experience with a classy Long Island price which we felt was reasonable for what we had. I would have liked larger portions, but no complaints from us.

Our first time at this place and while placing the reservation at Resy, it said that they will charge $20 per person for no-show. So definitely be sure you can make it before reserving or pay attention to their cancellation policy. We definitely made it tonight so that was not a concern of ours. When stepping in, it is such a cordial, inviting place. Very cozy and romantic at the same time with large tables and comfortable chairs that don't feel you are slouching the whole time. Ava was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing. She gave us an overview of the owner, it's restaurant mission, the speciality wines, etc. She did such an amazing job and has a fabulous personality. They serve a small plate of assorted olives which is a nice touch. I had ordered the mezzi rigatoni with pork sausage for $30. Amazing dish and has a ton of depth in flavor. I do agree with some of the other reviewers that I wish the portion was a tad bigger. But for $30, I understand it why it is the way it is. My wife got the wagyu sirloin $52 and she was about to order it medium rare, but Ava said the chef normally recommends medium as the base and assured that it wouldn't be too dry. Sure enough, she was right and my wife enjoyed not only the presentation of the dish, but also how tender the meat was. We shared a shishito pepper as a side for $12. I did wish for the peppers for it to be warmer temperature wise. I had a glass of the Galiano red blend for $15 and it was quite rich in flavor, but also light and airy at the same time. Lastly, we shared a strawberry basil sorbet for $5 which capped off our evening. All in all, we really like the place and would definitely recommend.

Had a great dinner here a week ago. I had the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Service was very good and the waitress was extremely attentive. I would say it would have been a bit better if they talked a bit more about the wines, but that was a very small issue. All of the courses were good and plated well. There weren't any big standouts during the meal but no complaints either. I would definitely go back and try some of their regular menu options. Inside was nice and the tables were big which made sense if you were eating small plates, but also made conversation a bit awkward.

Nice house red wine

We love this restaurant in our neighborhood. We had reservations to celebrate my husband's birthday. He picked the new place and wanted to check it out. We had cocktails at the bar. The martini, old fashioned and Galianos aperol drinks were delicious. The owner Vinny came to greet us and offered us a complimentary cheese platter. For dinner we enjoyed the grilled octopus; was grilled to perfection as well as lettuce salad. Main course, steak and lobster paella was amazing. They gave us a complimentary pasta with gnocchi with truffle sauce. Delicious! We all enjoyed the meal and the service was excellent. The place is small but nicely decorated. We felt like home & we will definitely come back again.

Best chef around- a fine food Michelin quality chef making delicious tapas, paella and dessert. Incredible "City" food on Long Island. Both sophisticated and yummy. Good wine too. Excited to find a place we actually like without making excuses for an uneven dining experience just because it's local. We met Roger, the chef who was warm and personable. So glad he's moved into our area. We needed this!

We read a recent review where someone proclaimed the owner to be nasty & unfriendly (sure, I am paraphrasing). Those types of reviews are generally emotionally charged and written by plebs I find. More on that toward the end. Pulling up to a rather unassuming east end Long Island small shopping plaza drenched in rain; opening the door, you are taken back to a semi rustic and dim interior. Perfectly elegant in its bucolic charm- with nice lounge music playing. It is a sit where one likes atmosphere. This is meant with the utmost of respect and candour. We were greeted kindly by the proprietoress (Jacqueline), and handed pleasantly robust binders with the wine list and food. Deciding to treat this in the more European café type, we had glasses and charcuterie. I, the Sagrantino, and her the Kerner. Jacqueline was vocally pleased with our interesting choices. The night drew on, more wine ensued, more food, multiple conversations, and I completed reading through each page and wine choice...finding much to be recognised and appreciated (Kirwan, Moric, Georg Breuer to name but a few) At the end of the night, I asked Jacqueline to pick an appropriate nightcap. She not only delivered, but gave us a wonderful story including the provenance and her experiences - ultimately, the word genius came up more than once. To wit, there was nothing here but an exceptional experience with a like-minded wine enthusiast. I felt welcomed and in the frith of old kin. Nasty, belligerent, dullard atmosphere- indeed not. I went with the chickpea fries, which were very crispy on the outside and extremely creamy on the inside. It is coated in a layer of chickpea powder and then fried. It was very interesting and i'd order this again. It paired well with the harissa aioli. For my entrée, I got the beer-battered fish and chips. My fries were much thicker than everyone else's, and they also came with potato chips that tasted oily. I didn't love the fish and chips and wouldn't order this again, but my friends enjoyed their burgers, shrimp cocktail, French onion soup, and roasted cauliflower steak. Service was good. The wait staff checked on us many times to make sure everyone got their food and that our water cups were full. The outside of Mirabelle is beautiful, and we saw it being set up for a baby shower. There's a small lot that's free and you can park on Jennings. (sorry residents). We went on NYE so had to park several blocks away. No biggie. The inside is dark and cool with a city-vibe. Ample bar space and 1-4 tops an some banquet seating that lets you look out over the street. We were greeted right away by what turned out to be our server and seated promptly by the windows (we had a reservation). Also greeted by a gentleman that we think might have been her dad. The young lady hustled all night and managed the crowd well. We never waited too long for her to check in on us and she was very helpful with selecting wine and clarifying menu items. That being said, THIS IS A SMALL PLATES JOINT. People expecting full-sized portions should adjust their expectations accordingly. We did, however, order the Trastavere seafood platter (medium) which came as a tower and seemed impressive. Two types of oysters (large and medium) were presented; briny and fresh and pretty damned tasty. There was also a ceviche and tuna tartare that was, unfortunately, a bit unremarkable, as was the shrimp cocktail (though the shrimps were pretty hefty). The American "black caviar" was a nice way to commemorate the meal. Nutty with a pop of salinity but maybe something you can skip. We meant to order the Carne e Formaggi but got the Gamberetto instead which was fine as it was pretty tasty nonetheless (made with shrimp but it almost tasted like smoked salmon). Virgola Manhattan was good but pretty standard. Follow-up drink of dirty Manhattan was blissfully salty and cold. But back to the menu: we are unsure if they have an actual kitchen back there which would also explain the small plates concept and oyster and chilled fish options. The bruschetta was tasty, as mentioned, but it seems like they cut and toasted the bread and topped it with the crudo. The other bruschetta options featured ingredients from other menu items that could be re-purposed for multiple dishes. Smart but expect this. We plan on returning and trying the charcuterie board (mix and match cheeses and meats) and some cocktails. Overall, a nice night out and a nice option for dining and drinking around Patchogue. Cheers!

Instead of relying on overdone gimmicks or cluttered displays to manufacture a vibe, the space exuded a genuine, effortless charm that allowed guests to truly settle in and relax. When it came to the culinary offerings, the kitchen delivered an exceptional experience, though it wasn't entirely without minor hiccups. The core dishes were executed brilliantly, showcasing genuine talent and high-caliber flavors. However, those achievements were slightly overshadowed by a few inconsistent details such as bread that crossed the line in doneness, alongside side dishes that lacked the vibrant punch and seasoning of the main plates. Even so, the undeniable quality of the highlights kept the meal firmly on track. Where the experience ultimately stumbled was on the floor. While the front-of-house staff possessed an impressive and commendable command of the menu, they struggled significantly with sustained focus and attentive execution. This occasional inattentiveness meant that basic needs required more effort than they should have, pulling attention away from what could have otherwise been a seamless evening.

The paella is supposed to be for 2-4 people which I can see if you have more tapas but we finished it off. It came with a healthy amount of shrimp, grilled calamari and chorizo and was perfectly seasoned. We also appreciated how the rice was a bit crispy and not mushy.
