Ski season is over for me, cycling is starting, and maybe hiking but only in shaded areas.
Quality/Quantity - Well not bike friendly for my wife, which I warned her...
I even struggled in the loose dirt/sandy areas.
4.8 miles, 2 hour hike, less than an hour for me on my bike. Well I spent most of my time waiting for my wife, lol.
Lots of wildlife in the summer. Again stay safe - Coyotes, bobcats, mule deer, black beers (we get this at the house also, LOL), mountain lions, rodents (too many to name), bats, birds, reptiles, etc. But during the winter, it felt very safe and relaxing.
Atmosphere -
Plenty of parking, as "summer" has not really started. I enjoy visiting these places most during off peak seasons.
There are also campsites, BBQ, picnic areas, volleyball courts, horse shoe, clean bathrooms, plenty of parking (cars, RVs, buses, etc).
There is even a stage in Eagle Meadows for events.
Open 7 days a week from 7am to 7pm (hours are also seasonal, see their website).
Clean bathrooms throughout the different parking lots and camp sites.
Horse and bike trails.
Service - Self service.
Price - Free.
Owner Comment - Thank you Washoe County for another great park, trail! read more
