My girlfriend and I went in last week for a gel fill and our nails and polish started to chip and break off. So we went back today to have them fix it and we got questioned about what we were doing to make them fall off. And the employees treated us like we did something wrong. $73 for gel pedi and gel polish, no mani. At first, based on reviews and texts with the manager, I was excited. Got an appt at 10am for 1:30. The person who seated me delegated someone else to service me (1st flag)...took 1.5hrs to do my pedicure (2nd flag) and had someone ELSE finish my polish design (3rd). Next, wanted a gel manicure and guy tried to talk me OUT of the design I wanted (plain polish with glitter cuticle) (4th flag!!). When I refused, persistent on my design, he told me I'd have to wait for someone else because he "didn't do designs." (5th) It was now 4pm and my nails weren't done. Same manager who I texted for the appt basically brushed me off when I asked her to rectify the situation. She told me I'd have to wait until they finished their clients (after being there before any of those clients arrived) (6th)...I wasn't willing to wait anymore and left, upset, paying $73 (7th) for a gel pedicure and gel polish on my natural nails. 2.5 hrs of dismissive service. I was a first-time customer but because I wasn't a regular, I wasn't a priority. Pure assembly line...definitely wasn't anything like the reviews...was treated like an afterthought from the door. Nothing is worse than a manicure or pedicure that ends up stressing you out because the technician is unskilled. While the staff at Galaxy Nails were perfectly lovely, and the prices were not bad, I had a frustrating gel manicure here where I had to keep providing instructions to the nail technician on how to trim my cuticles, spots that were missed during filing and polishing, just to name a few. My pedicure was done by someone else and was fine, but by then I was already flustered and aggravated. I am unlikely to return to this nail shop. read more

It blows my mind that this nail salon has 5 stars. Their website has all these pictures of these beautiful nails and I went in and I asked for one color and got a completely different color when I had asked for a deep blue they gave me a light blue. I asked them multiple times to change it just for them to ignore me. After I walked out of the salon I looked at my nails and it looks like they already need a fill. The jewels fell of the next morning. They do not listen to what the customer wants and they did shoddy work which is disappointing considering before I decided to try them out I had heard great things about them and saw their work on their website. If you are going to advertise that you do good work you should probably follow through with that. Just saying. read more

I was a faithful client of Galaxy Nails for 4 years, going in every 2 to 3 weeks. Once the salon opened back up for Phase 2 after the COVID-19 pandemic I went in for the first time in 3 months since they had to close. At the end of my appointment when it was time to pay, I realized the prices had gone up. The prices were up by $15 dollars for a fill, and by $25 for a full set, just to name a few. Being a client for 4 years, and the fact that I felt that me and the salon, especially me and Katie, had established a good rapport, this caught me off guard. I later texted her saying that she has every right to increase her prices, but it would have been courteous had she given me a heads-up when booking my service or even during my service... and I STILL would have paid whatever it was because that's how much I liked the salon. She never responded. I understand that after the pandemic small businesses are hurting, but so are the consumers (people losing their jobs, etc.). They do good work, but to me customer service is everything and is actually even more important to me. So therefore they lost a client in me and I will not be returning. Nail salons are a dime a dozen so I will find somewhere else to go. read more

I got my lashes done here and I absolutely love them! Decently priced and the staff was friendly fun and helpful! I learned a lot about the different styles, how their applied, and basic care. I have been going to this salon since they switched owners a few years ago (and have been going to Katie there before they opened this salon). The whole staff is polite and professional. Katie, Rose, Daniel and Helen are all great. The salon is clean. My nails always look good. The prices are probably a little below the average price. Acrylic nails started falling off days after they were put on. Had 3 appointments set and had to wait awhile to get all the sets of acrylics on. From all the Instagram pictures I saw I was really impressed how the nails looked. But not impressed at all with this place. It was a waste of money. The guy doing my pedicure was not gentle at all and hurt my feet. When he put the hot towel on my legs he immediately pressed down hard with them which was so uncomfortable because of how hot it was. He didn't even ask if it was too hot or not. Honestly, the pedicure was not enjoyable at all which I was looking forward to that being relaxing. Was very disappointed with everything. read more

So happy I looked at reviews before I came here! Easy to get to, quick service mid day on a Thursday and super personable staff. Helen did my gel fill today and was very knowledgeable and friendly. I had been going to a place that said they did gel nails but now I know anytime there is powder... it is not gel... its acrylic with gel prices! She was easy to talk to and also gave me so water and turned the little fan on for me when I was getting hot! She did a great job and I would definitely come here again and pay a few extra bucks for a wonderful experience! read more

Very friendly environment. This place offers a ton of options for nails and beauty services. If you want to follow a new trend they will probably be able to duplicate it. Most surprising to find out is the fact that they do uv gel nails, most places in the area still use powder for gel nails followed by a uv gel top coat. I love my nails, they're perfectly shaped(which is hard to get now a days). My tech also made sure not to leave any polish on my cuticles. I'm definitely going back 100%! read more

AWFUL! My gel nails lifted 2 days later. The older woman did a French gel fill with the white smeared on each nail of one hand. Up charged me more than $10. than the quoted price. Rushed thru the manicure & would not listen to my requests. She developed a rude attitude. Will never return there again! read more

I absolutely love Galaxy Nails!!! I've been going here for a year and a half now and everyone there is nothing short of amazing. They have TONS of color choices, gems, glitter and just about any other accessory you may want on your nails. They're super creative and do an amazing job with all their services. They're super accommodating with working around my busy schedule to get me appointments and the prices are great! You get exactly what you pay for. I would have gave this place 10stars if I could the first time I went but I ultimately was turned off and disappointed this last visit I'm pregnant and coming from Windsor which is about a 30 min drive in traffic and I know walk ins are welcome but I show up and the guy who started my nails was extremely nice but he didn't do designs only Katie did and it was maybe 4 tecnicians there. I showed up around 530 knowing they close at 7 but it was my first time getting my nails done and I didn't know that certain people only did designs. Anyway when I told him what I wanted he tried to talk me into getting a basic paint job mainly because I don't think he wanted me to wait until Katie was done with her client because he didn't know how long she would take. I know she's thorough and I didn't want to interrupt her clients time so I figure if she was done soon I'd ask for her to just do a very simple nail design I literally only wanted glitter dusted on my nails . Well she said she couldn't which I understood but two different women showed up between 6:15 and 6:30 and she still wasn't done with her client and decided to take the two women who showed up after I did .. I was really turned off, disappointed and confused how they could both get serviced before me who came in an hr before. Anyway I left paying 50$ for clear painted gel nails which I could have came back at another time if I knew only one person did designs i even was going to come back tomorrow for the design but that was before two women who came in after me got serviced and I couldn't .. this place does amazing work and they are very friendly but I can't work up the nerve to go back . And I'm sure the two women didn't have appointments at the same time and I was there first but it is what it is I understand customer service and how it can be overwhelming especially when it's busy but as a pregnant customer traveling at least a half hr from home Where walkins are welcome paying 50$ for something I didn't want and other customers who come after me get the service they want is just unacceptable I'm sorry I didn't even want to leave this comment but it really hurt because I loved my first experience when I spent 160 on lashes and I loved the conversation between me and the nail tech today but I'll never go back just because I don't feel as though I was appreciated as a paying customer I really feel as though there was no excuse why two people came 45 mins before closing and they both got serviced and o came an hr n a half and left with clear polish . read more
