I wanted my lower back to be avoided due to an annular tear in L4 and to focus on my right trocanter because of my sciatica. Piper's studio was clean and welcoming, and she herself was very friendly and put me at ease. This was probably the least painful one I've ever had too. She uses a combination of strip and hard wax which (I feel) made it easier to get everything off. She is a true professional and clearly knows what she's doing. Her prices are very competitive and she's worth every penny. Already booked my next appointment :) Using the app also makes things a lot easier since you can modify or change your appointment.

They open at 8 and my appointment was 8:30. The secretary was lovely and the aesthetician was great. That's not my concern. When i walked into the room i could tell the white hygienic paper had already been used that was draped over the table because not only were there wrinkles in it but there were dark spots at the top where you rest your head, in the middle and down by where say your ankles would be. i concluded it could possibly be post wax oils(?) and frankly i almost walked right out the door because i was really grossed out but i was desperate since my regular lady who i have been going to for 20 years is on vacation. In hindsight yes i should have asked her to change the paper, and i didn't, so that's on me. But the point is i shouldn't have to ask, it should already be done.

I have remained with her because of her caring and compassionate attitude but also because she has kept this red head "red" and always found time to squeeze me in. Even though she was always part of someone else's salon -I think in the back of her mind she knew she could do better. So when she told me a couple of months ago that she was leaving her current employment - I was ready to jump to which ever salon she decided to move to. Much to my surprise - she told me she was opening up her own salon and was bringing some ladies that she had personally hired. The space itself is great - Beauty on the Ave is a house and Malerie has personally designed it herself. From the scissor wallpaper adorning the processing and wash room to hand selected beauty products, this salon puts its clients first. They even have a charging station and snacks to help you pass the time as you get beautified. I can personally vouch for Malerie and her stylists many of whom I have gone to at one time or another over the years when Malerie was unavailable. Give them a try - I have not been disappointed yet.
