So happy I decided to stop in instead of traveling far for threading. Aisha(sp?) Was super nice, educated me on my brows and shapped them via threading to compliment my face. There is street parking as well as a parking lot in the back. Her location was clean and social distancing (if you care about that anymore like I do) is able to be achieved there. I would call before you go but I don't think you need to. I just like to give a heads up in case there isn't an opening. Place was busy when I arrived, with only one person working there on a busy Saturday. Even though my eyebrows were badly overgrown, you could see an arch from the previous threading. When it was my turn, the woman roared through my threading, obviously feeling rushed by the number of people waiting. She created no arch in my brows, just a straight thin line. Walked in on a rainy day with no wait time (thank god). I was growing out my eyebrows for a while so they were a little wild but she did an excellent job of shaping them and getting pretty much every hair. It was my first time threading (waxing since middle school) and I finally decided to just do it because my friend was gushing about this place. I have been waiting years for eyebrow threading to come to Middletown!!! I have tried probably every place within a 30 mile radius that does threading, with mixed results. Most were not very skilled, some were more expensive, or others were good, but just too far away for regular/routine eyebrow maintenance. I would usually visit a place like this more than once before writing a review, but I was 100% certain of how I felt on my first visit. The hours are very reasonable, much more so than most threading places. It is brand new and very clean. There is plenty of seating if you have to wait. The part that did it for me was that she was very skilled at shaping my eyebrows. Most places they will just make them really thin and then I have to wait months for them to grow in. She took the time to get a good shape, and even showed me spots where she was leaving certain hairs that looked like they might be stray hairs, but where she wanted it to grow in a little for more evenness. I really appreciated her thinking that way, and explaining it to me. And then at the end, I was very pleased with the reasonableness of the pricing. it was $13-something for eyebrow and upper lip. She will give you a card that you have stamped on every visit, and the 7th visit is free (eyebrows only). I am so happy that Brow Palace is in Middletown, and I will never go anywhere else for my eyebrow threading again!! It may have taken a while to get a threading place in town, but it was well worth the wait! I'm so happy to have such a quality establishment so close to home. read more

I popped into Brow Palace based on a recommendation from a friend and I'm pleased I did. I normally travel all the way to Meriden to get my brows threaded so I'm very happy that there's now a really good brow threading business in Middletown. The brow specialist was very friendly, open to conversation and did a very nice job on my brows. She was quick but thorough. The business itself is very clean and neat, which I love. I can also vouch for their eyebrow threading (she somehow fixed my uneven brows), and their facial waxing (my upper lip has never been smoother). DO NOT GO HERE. The woman who did my brows was perfectly nice, but she did not know what she was doing. I was naturally nervous about getting my brows done at a new place, so I told her I didn't want them too shaped, just cleaned up a little (I thought this would keep anything too extreme from happening). However, "not too shaped" is not the same thing as two shapeless slugs on my face!! They were completely uneven and she took off way too much at the top, completely flattening them out. Also, when she trimmed them, all she did was brush them up and snip once on each brow. When I got home and brushed them out myself, it was a mess -- some hairs too long, other too short. I guess I got what I payed for, which was $8.50, but please just spend a few more dollars and go somewhere where they actually know what they're doing. 90% sure all these good reviews are fake. Is zero stars an option?? read more

I've been commuting 30+min for years to get my eyebrows and lip threaded because there was nothing (at least nothing decent) closer to home. I just found Brow Palace in Middletown and I am THRILLED. It is clean and professional. The woman was friendly and did a wonderful job. I've been to A LOT of places over the years and everything about this place is as good or better than anywhere else I've been.
