I found this place through a Yelp search and boy am I glad I have Yelp to rely on! The appointment process was easy and it was nice surprise to be able to book an appointment online. There's even an app to see appointments requested, past appointments, etc. I booked myself the Lux pedicure with regular polish and the Gel-x full set with gel polish. Once my appointment was accepted I got there a few minutes early as I have gel polish on my toes already. The shop is in a cute house and is SO clean! First thing first is you have to wash your hands then pick out polish. Stefania did my pedicure and she was super sweet. She helped me find the polish I wanted and when it came to the pedicure OMG I almost fell asleep with how comfortable I was. She was fantastic. She got my nails the shape and length I wanted. My feet look and feel so so great! Onto the nails. Emily is seriously a master at this! My nails are literally perfect. I showed her what I wanted and she delivered. She also educated me on the gel-x as it was my first time getting it (I've always done acrylic). We made a plan to get my nails to be pretty and healthy and all mine over time. This salon was gorgeous and they went above and beyond the sanitation requirements. The minute you walked in you were asked to wash and sanitize your hands before touching ANYTHING!! They also used BRAND NEW, factory-sealed and pre-sanitized kits for each customer, so there was no possible cross contamination happening, I'm from Florida and we have some strict guidelines too and I was not disappointed with STYLUX!! I had an acrylic fill done by Emily and she was AWESOME!! I also asked for a little nail art which obliged me with the EXACT ART I showed her!! Now I do have a little confession to make, I am a licensed nail tech from FLORIDA. I am on vacation and wanted to pamper myself. And by pure happenstance I ended up here and BOY WAS I NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! Emily was very perceptive on the issues I brought to her attention and took care of them and never once did she treat me any different once she learned I was a veteran nail tech, which is so refreshing!! If anything she was even more aware of my wants. I received a gift cert. to Stylux Beauty Lounge in Southington, CT and was very pleasantly surprised. It wasn't a great start as I tried to find their building and then parking but once I got in the door everything changed. Every person in that business from the receptionist to the nail technician and even the customers were great. I was asked to wash my hands as soon as I walked in the door. This showed me that they were very concerned with hygiene. The place was very clean and stylish. I was disappointed that I didn't get Emily who I asked for when I booked but that ended up fine. The girls that did my mani & padi were excellent!! They worked very diligently to get my nails done perfectly. Wish I could remember their names. I had the coffee and milk Pedicure Spa which I had never heard of before. My feet soaked as my nails were polished with care. Then came the pedicure of a lifetime. The prices were very responsible for all the care you received. Even the customers were very friendly where you could join in without being judged. It was like one big happy family. I will definitely be going back! Even when I went to pay with a gift card that wasn't working they did their best to help me. I can't say enough about how well you are treated and the reasonable prices they have. My only suggestion is don't go on a day that there is an event planned on the Southington Green. I'm actually really, REALLY disappointed at how horribly my nails ended up, because I really loved this salon. The salon has a ton to offer, manicures, pedicures, lash lifts and tints etc. Everyone is amazing, great personalities, they chat you up, complimentary drinks (coffee, tea, water, wine, mimosa), the salon is beautifully decorated and laid out nicely. It's located in the heart of Southington so parking is a little shotty but that's no big deal. They were accommodating with my schedule and worked around me to make sure they could squeeze me and my friend in. Everything was great. I decided to get the powder dip for my first dive back into dark nail season. I was SO excited because I love dark nails, and my nails had finally grown to a great length so everything was looking up. I always get gel, or the powder dip because I have weak nails that do break easily IF I don't have anything on them. I got my nails done on Friday the 13th of September. By Monday the 16th mostly all of my nails had chipped or broken. By the 14th my right thumb had already started to break/chip. By the 15th I had multiple chips and more starting. This has never happened to me EVER so quickly. Typically the powder dip can last about 3 weeks if not more (when properly taken care of). I've never seen it chip SO quickly, and it was pretty upsetting considering it wasn't a cheap manicure AND I tipped very well (which obviously I'm not holding the tip against anyone, just ads fuel to my sad fire lol). I'm really hoping this was a one time issue... maybe the powder was old, maybe the top coat wasn't the proper top coat, maybe the base wasn't put on properly... but this salon is gorgeous and I really hope they succeed. I'm not 100% sure if I would go back or not. I loved the ambiance and the people but, still have some PTSD about the nails. read more

This Salon is amazing!! I've come here twice so far to get eyelash extensions done by the amazing Sheala! My eyelashes have come out beautifully every time. She's very gentle and really takes her time to make sure my eyelashes come out just right. First time visiting yesterday and after 1 year of searching for a wonderful, clean, professional yet affordable new nail salon I have found THE ONE! Great experience, staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, clearly take pride in what they do & the salon is the cleanest I've ever been in & their post client sanitation is spot on. New tools for all, no sharing of supplies!! The decor is gorgeous! The time taken with each client is great - first time in years I didn't feel like we were all a herd of cattle being moved from one location to another. Amazing new salon! I am picky with my manicures and pedicures, as many places typically rush, hound you to upgrade services, and skip steps for time sake. Stylux is completely different. Monica did my pedicure and manicure and was AMAZING. She was spent her time on my pedicure (over an hour for the $35 pedicure that included a glass of wine!), was enjoyable to chat with, and made my experience such a pleasant one. The other employees in the salon were so nice and addressed me by name without my having to tell them. When they weren't busy with a client they were cleaning the salon or helping each other out, not sitting on their phones like I usually see at other places. My mistake to try a new business. I should have stayed with the nail salon we always use who is also a lot cheaper. After spending over $60 for a acrylic nails with gel polish one nail popped off and another started to chip after only 2wks. We have never had this happen when my daughter gets her nails done at Sisters nails. So I went there with the hopes that the would fix the problem but nope they washed their hands of it and didn't even offer to fix it! As a new business with a new customer one would think you would try and make the situation right. That's bad business and bad customer service! Never again! read more

Wow today was my first time here and I loved it! Monika did an excellent job on my pedicure & manicure and provided excellent service. The space is big enough to ensure social distancing and is VERY CLEAN! Monika took her time and always asked if i liked the shape & color before proceeding. I love the convenience of booking online and the safety measures in place amid COVID. You wait outside and call ahead of time to ensure distancing, they take your temperature, and all the employees were frequently washing their hands. It was my first visit to Stylux and it was absolutely​ wonderful!! For the past 15 years I've had my body waxed for swimming, etc. and I never had anyone as good as Emily. She was methodical and attentive but very quick​ when it was time to pull the cloth and remove the hair.
