Jalapeño bomb with vegan cheese
Teodora P.

Place has a very cool vibe. Huge choice of wine and beer and some nice bites to go with. I went with my girlfriends tonight to grab some dinner and drinks and we really enjoyed the cool vibe. I will definitely come back to check out their karaoke or live music events and try some more beers.

Tried the grilled cheese and gator tots tonight. The cheese sandwich was a vegan cashew cheese blend and mozzarella blend on sourdough bread. The sandwich was very good for a cheese sandwich. The Galaxy had a broad range of beers on tap providing a lot of options for a small place. The decor was unusually different, which is why I was drawn here. While eccentric to say the least, it was different and refreshing at the same time. I recommend giving it a try. The food and beer options were quite satisfying.

I struggle to explain why this is my favorite spot in Clarendon, but it is. Ill try. Anytime I walk in, a VHS movie is playing with closed captioning on, music is playing, and the sweet rich smell of fried veggies and cheese mixed with sour beers tickle my brain. They used to have concerts here, and hopefully will again someday. The little side outside area is great to overhear gossip about people you don't know while maintaining a safe distance to not seem like you are weirdly listening in. Even in the rain you can hide outside for a bit to get some fresh air or hide from your own thoughts. I would sit inside and write my novel if it wasn't so cliché. The bartenders / cook staff are insane in a good way, always with wild eyes and eager to serve up tasty things without judgement. Even if you order the loaded tots and fried cauliflower for a table for 1. They have games I want to play but never do. The thought is nice though. That is what this place does. It helps me have better thoughts and realigns my desires to simpler things. Id gladly pay for that therapy any day.

The vibe is so cool and the fact that everything on the menu is vegetarian/vegan is amazing! Walking in, it really feels like you went back a time. Sit at any open table and look through the menu, once you know what to order head to the bar. Once your food is ready it will be brought to your table. I went with the jalapeño bomb impossible burger. For the table we split onion rings and buffalo cauliflower. Everything I tried was amazing! Jalapeño burger was bomb (no pun intended) and the onion rings were cooked well and buffalo cauliflower was definitely a hit. There were so many other food options to try that I hope to come again soon!

This is a very fun and cozy dive bar. I come here mainly for the vibe and for the beers on tap and not for the food, but I think that's pretty good as well (I'm not even vegan). Much like their sister location (Spacebar in Falls Church) they have really great tater tots. Unlike Spacebar they have a really wide variety of accompanying sauces to choose from. They also have a nice variety of beers on tap. The service is really friendly. Easily accessible from two Metro stations (Clarendon and Court House).

Disgusting Galaxy but burger- bean burger has a paste like consistency, with the awful cashew cheese scraped off

I was in the patio with friends, in the corner, not bothering anyone -- not fighting, not yelling, not approaching strangers. Security walked up, said there was "a complaint," refused to say who it was from, refused to say what it was about, refused to let me talk to the manager, and refused to even let me back inside to grab my own card. My friends asked him to stop. He ignored them. This is the second time their security has unfairly targeted me. The first time I had just stepped outside to take a phone call. The same guard ran after me and started accusing me of stealing -- but couldn't say what was supposedly stolen or who had complained, because nobody actually had. I told him my laptop and jacket were inside at the bar and that all the bartenders know me. He eventually apologized once it became obvious he had nothing. Same guy, same pattern, different night. Also worth knowing: my friend and I had just ordered around $100 in food and drinks at the end. Nothing finished. No refund offered, no apology, no manager. If management thinks letting one guard humiliate paying customers in front of their friends is good for business, here's your feedback. Plenty of better pubs in Arlington that actually respect the people

We especially appreciated the convenience of getting our parking validated! The class structure was great, offering unlimited toppings for our pizzas, which allowed for maximum creativity and fun. The cocktail portion was also excellent. The bread they serve with the baked brie is a delicious sourdough and the drinks are great. The breakfast, on the other hand, is nothing exciting even though it's a Westin property and they focus on wellness. They had a couple of interesting, healthy beverages, and that was it. Francisco, who is one of the evening servers is fantastic and he's also a great bartender along with the other Indian bartender. Those guys are great. However, the morning team has a lot of room for improvement. They were friendly to me but completely disorganized amongst themselves. In fact, I didn't even bother with my second breakfast, which was free because what was the point between bad service and mediocre food. The place is spacious and they do lots of cooking classes which appear quite festive and enjoyable for groups. There's plenty of seating options that make it wonderful for everyone.

On Mondays and Tuesdays they host Trivia. On Saturday nights they do karaoke. There's also two dart boards as well. It's a place you can go and vibe and wind down after a day at work. I usually am a regular as I go on Tuesdays for Trivia night. I like that the tables have QR codes codes so you can order directly from the table on your phone. Of course if you prefer the old-fashioned way, you can ways go to the cash register by the bar and place and order. I've had the pizza before and it rocks! My go-to is the pepperoni pizza or sometimes if the pizza of the month sounds good I'll get a few slices of that. The standard pizza is very NY-style. But they also have Detroit style which is pretty great as well. I've also tried the nachos, pretzel, French fries, chicken park sub, and the chicken tenders. But I gotta say I really enjoy the pizza at Quincy Hall the most!

Dear reader, Punch…read moreBowl Social in Ballston was an absolute triumph for a work event and made Nurses Week feel properly celebrated. We had our event there and had such a great time from start to finish. The biggest strength of the place is simply how much there is to do. There is so much space, plus games, arcade games, karaoke, and bowling, so it never felt like there was a dull moment or any risk of the group running out of entertainment. One could hardly accuse the evening of lacking activity. The food also did its part quite nicely. The appetizers we got were great, and the potstickers, pretzel bites, and fried chicken sliders were definite standouts. Everything felt easy to share and perfect for a group event, which made the whole evening run smoothly. A further point in its favour was the staff. Everyone was nice, attentive, and clearly helped make the event feel organised and enjoyable without being overly formal about it. Overall, Punch Bowl Social was lively, spacious, and genuinely fun, and it turned out to be a wonderful place for a group celebration. A very solid choice indeed.

It was Saturday night and very busy so I didn't want to carry around something I could easily spill. So I kindly asked for a wine glass and he definitely didn't like my request so he dumped the wine from the martini glass into a wine glass spilling half of it over his hand onto the floor. I understand PBS is not a wine bar but his response was really disappointing and awkward, I paid for the 4oz pour to keep the peace. I used to work in the service industry so I left it alone, but I probably won't be back to PBS for a while. I really enjoyed the silent disco! Super fun and different. The person managing the headsets didn't tell me when it ended.. so the folks who also didn't know ended up paying $10 for 30min....

It was all very organized and colorful as well, with wheeled ladders to get to the high stuff. There was a lot kept cold as well.
