Bottom line: Highly recommend! The whole process was quick, easy, and painless. I was walking around at Costco and saw a display for Graber window coverings and was intrigued since that was actually a project I was wanting to get into but just never started. I was able to get an appointment with a specialist within 2 weeks. I met with Niles who was very knowledgeable and helpful with picking the right products that addressed pain points while still being mindful of budget. I really appreciated that he was not pressuring any kind of upsells and he was really conscious of what would make me happy in the long run. After signing contracts, Stella was wonderful to work with and she was in touch with me regularly to update me on the status changes to the order. She actually was able to get the cellular shades and blinds in early, so I was able to get them installed only a couple weeks after the order was placed. I was given a time slot of 1:30 to 3:30 PM and was notified the day of installation that Evan would be arriving around 3 PM. Evan arrived shortly after 3 PM and was able to install the window coverings in a couple of hours. He was super sweet, efficient, and professional. He got everything patched up (from previous blinds), installed the new blinds, and cleaned up and disposed of the old blinds. As a bonus, since the contract was through Costco, I was emailed a Costco shop card for 10% within one week after the installation was completed. We have now had the new shades for a couple weeks and I love them! The cellular shades have been great for reducing the heat in the house during this past heat wave and the triple blinds installed in my daughter's room have been a major upgrade by providing flexibility in keeping one or two sides of the window open while maintaining privacy with the large middle section. If I need to get any other window coverings I will definitely come back to Galaxy Draperies for their professionalism, excellent work, and wonderful customer service! read more

We found Galaxy Draperies through Costco and figured the affiliation meant we could trust them because we are avid Costco loyalists. For the most part, this was true. Setting up a design meeting was super easy and was done via text messaging. I was impressed with how streamlined everything was. Niles came out a week later on a Saturday and spent a couple hours explaining the company/brand and quality of Graber manufactured shutters. He is a professional and good salesman. We signed up that day. All was well, until we had a snag with our financing option. We chose the interest free 18 month option but ended up getting 5 yr plan at 24% interest! I was forced to pay off the entire thing at once in order to avoid such high interest. The other hiccup was being told that a single shutter box could cover our front window but then later being told it was too long and would need a spacer between two smaller ones. Two weeks later, I then get a call saying they don't make spacers and I have to buy a piece of wood at Home Depot myself. Both of these issues are why a star was removed from this review. Outside of that, it took about 6 weeks to get the shutters delivered and installed. Stella and Carol were in good communication and had an install appointment within 3 days of delivery. Paco did a great job installing everything. Overall, we are happy with how the shutters look and feel. We appreciate the privacy and also the option of flooding our house with sunlight. They look sleek and clean. A week later, we got our 10% Costco gift card. We may order more shutters for the back of the house. Let's hope the experience is a little smoother next time read more

Every time I needed an adjustment or repair, I had to pay $250 in advance for the technician to come, no matter how minor the issue. Obviously, that adds up quickly. Also, to inquire about service or delivery or anything other than sales, you have to deal with different people in different departments, and for some reason that has felt very impersonal and sometimes frustrating. They encourage communicating by text, but there are often long intervals before you get a response--even in the middle of one conversation. In sum, I feel the blinds are lovely, but the business model and customer care leaves a lot to be desired. read more
