I had bought a carpet remnant for the back of my Tahoe since I have 2 labs, when I put it in I noticed it was leaving white residue all over, so I called the store & he said I could exchange for a different one, I exchanged for a piece that had backing on it so it wasn't leaving residue anywhere. Last year we decided to update our floors from old pink zebra tiles to more modern ones. They were open and honest about all the pricing and giving advises what will look good and letting us know beforehand so no surprises later.The time and date they told us working crew was there and the owner, James, almost always on worksite supervising the work. Not only the pricing was affordable the work was immaculate and in one instance James noticed 2 tiles were not aligned right instead of ignoring he asked the workers remove them and then reinstall it and he was measuring all the time to make sure they were even with the center marble. Although our first tile choice was discontinued ~ the customer service was excellent. I needed to replace my old carpet upstairs in two rooms and the stairs. I went shopping to a few stores. Amir at Carpet USA had the best price and was very helpful. I ended up having them install engineered hardwood flooring in the rooms and carpet on the stairs. They even installed my base board for free! They completed the job on time and left the work area clean. I was impressed, so a few months later I had them also install floor and shower tile in my downstairs bathroom. James came over and checked on the work. They took a day longer than I was quoted but did a beautiful job. I like that they will do extra work to make the customer happy. The tile man they used told me he has worked for them for over 9 years. That is a good sign to me. They have been in Simi Valley for a long time. Went to James and Carpet USA & Tile as last quote after canvasing Lowes/Home Depot and other tile places for my whole house flooring job which was 2,600 square ft. The bids I was receiving was in the high $20k range for both tile and hard wood floor. James was able to put together a competitive bid ( tile in first floor and carpet in second floor & closets) and they delivered. They focus on quality service instead of volume. Their installer team can do everything from tile, wood, baseboards, and everything comes out great. I had to call them back for a small area which had grout of slightly different shade and they came and fixed it without any hesitation which shows they stand behind their product and installation. Definitely recommend this business for your flooring needs and skip the big box stores which do not offer the quality and service. We shopped for laminate flooring for our upstairs master bedroom. After visiting 3 or 4 other stores we stopped by Carpet USA. We were greeted by Amir and he showed us different samples. We let him know our price range and he worked with us and did not try to up sell us into more expensive flooring. He came out the next morning to measure and show samples and was on time. We went back that afternoon and he gave us a attractive quote to remove carpet and install laminate with a quality padding and all new 4" baseboards. We agreed to the deal. Amir called us four days later when the product arrived and set up installation 2 days later. His installers were nice and did a great job.
