Hayk provided me with the best experience I have ever had with a contractor. He is patient, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. His completed installation looks better than my best hopes. When Hayk first consulted with me for more than one hour, for free, in my beautiful very old apartment-unit it Los Feliz, I had a lot options to figure out - how to cover 13 mostly floor-to-ceiling windows in different types of rooms with different needs. Hayk was very patient with me, listening and giving advice, but also knowing when to say it was a more personal choice that was better left up to me. Hayk has good taste and a lot of experience, so I learned to rely on him for many opinions/decisions, which were all very educational for me, and yet on the issues where I had a strong preference against a suggestion of his, Hayk was very supportive (and later executed it perfectly as I asked.) The process involved several days, and I am certain much longer than Hayk had bargained for when we decided upon his fee. Hayk never raised this issue, neither the extra time it was taking, nor any reasonable adjustment in his fee. He only focused on our verbal outline and all along the way Hayk's cheerful and attentive knowledge of blinds and window treatments were the perfect guardrails which kept the process moving forward, avoiding pitfalls Hayk caught and corrected each step of the way. Each time an obstacle came up, Hayk's attitude was positive, patient and supportive, his only priority was getting the job done right and making sure I was happy with each decision. Every time I was concerned it may be asking too much of Hayk's time and attention, his attitude and words were "Of course, no problem" with a smile. In the end, it comes down to execution. It turns out Hayk's measurements were exactly right and very sharp, applied to multi-blind arrangements that are complicated in varying ways - some are rows of blinds very close to each other with no room for error in measurement and installation, particularly the blinds falling in front of casement windows where we decided to tweak each blind's width to perfectly accommodate access to various release handles and cranks; another complication are the corner installs requiring blinds coming together at right angles, difficult again, both in measuring and installation, and again with very small tolerances. Once Hayk went into action, I saw how systematized his approach is, the meticulous nature of his notes on all our decisions - even suggesting I photograph them as a back-up for myself between days before his next visit - and overall I appreciated the confidence and care he took installing everything. Frankly, I was afraid my over-ambitions were going to trip me up and end in a mess. This has happened to me before, on more than one occasion. Not so this time, a good deal due to, I believe, Hayk's skills and good judgement. The finished product looks like something for which I had spent ten times what I paid Hayk. I cannot reccommend more highly Hayk for window treatments. I will be exclusively using him on future projects of the same kind. Looking at what Hayk installed all over the four rooms, I thank my good luck and Hayk's ability and character that I hired him. I will be appreciating his work in my home for many years. read more
