Now that we got the humor portion of my review out of the way lets move to the actual review: From first call - [CHAD] - I knew I had a great company on the line. I was first instructed that in order for the blinds to be ordered measurements needed to be provided to the company - which I was okay with doing. After the measurements: Chad will setup an appointment with you to reconfirm the measurements [which really helps calm your anxiety down being that I always like a double check, especially when you're about to drop a lot of money on new roller shade blinds]. What you also don't realize when you're doing the measurements is the expertise Chad provides in giving you ideas of what colors you want to go with. I kid you not Chad spent upwards of 4+ hours choosing colors - if that was me I would have clinically gone insane. But Chad has been in the biz and he knows what colors go with what. So I basically said "Phone a friend" and Chad took care of everything. "How many times have you installed shutters in a sunroom?" "None. This would be a first." A statement like that is a concern, but Brandon put me at ease when he said most sunrooms go for roll down shades, but if I preferred shutters, it can be done and that, "I wouldn't if I know I can't." He spent a couple of hours measuring and looking at all my window frames before giving me a quote. Although it was within the realm of what I was looking at, I didn't want to sign up immediately as I had a couple more consultations coming out. I did tell him he would hear from me in about a week should I decide to go his way. What's striking is his prediction that at least one - if not all - of my consultations would tell me they can't do it simply by seeing it's a sunroom. He was absolutely right. Both saw my sunroom, and both outright said, "Nope..." One of them was even bold enough to say that it can't be done. (When I replied I found a company who could do it, he asked who it was because he wants to know how they're able to defy physics. I couldn't get that guy out of my house quick enough.) I didn't bother waiting the week and called Brandon. He came through and brought along and introduced us to his wife, Gemma (who works with him from time to time.) My family built great rapport with them, they're such cool cats. We went ahead and put in the mandatory 50% down payment and began the waiting game. (We were told approximately 3-4 weeks, so not to worry if we didn't hear from them in the meantime.) They came through at around 4pm on the scheduled install date. I didn't think they were gonna be done the same day, but not only did they defy that thought (they were done in about 3.5 hours), they also defied physics! (See previous comment above. Insert chuckle here.) It is EXACTLY as I want them, and those shutters made the room spectacular. I couldn't be happier! (See attached before and after pictures.) A couple of points to keep in mind: 1) Brandon said for sunrooms, rolldown shades are most recommended, and he did try to sell that to me (for one, they are much cheaper) but I really had my heart set on shutters. He did his measurements and assessments and promised it can be done and will be done right: a promise which he kept. 2) I made at least 6 phone calls and 4 consultations. 2-Day Blinds is the most affordable for the project i had in mind. 3) On a funny coincidence, I saw their van posted at my workplace. If they're good enough for doing buildings, they're good enough for me. They did great for a first. I'm delighted that my house is it. So, yeah, my household is happy with this transformation.
