At Gala - Kim (Groomer) is very patient, gentle and experience with dogs with special needs; she was able to take Benji give him a flea bath a good conditioning and style him like a show dog. She also groom Benji around the face and made him look like a true Yorkie. 12/14/24 - we tried the rest but we wanted the best so we went to the gala pet styling in Springdale Ohio; we have a special needs Yorkie, and the staff at Gala pet styling; especially a groomer named Samantha was very patient with Benji and was able to bathe him groom him and give him a new look we love it thank you so much for being our new groomer, I would recommend this place to anybody who also has a special needs pet they take the time to learn about your dog and given the best attention possible, if I could get this place four stars I would recommend them to anybody who has tried the rest but wants the best. My dog has been to Gala Pet Styling 3 times. The first time, he came home and by the end of the day he had an ear infection. I thought ok, maybe it's a fluke. So we went back again. He came home and got another ear infection. The third time we went, I asked them to avoid his ears. Don't do anything with them. He came home, his eye swelled up and he couldn't open it. I went to the vet the next day, he has conjunctivitis (an eye infection) and an ulcer in his eye (a scratch on the cornea.) So if it's not the ears, I guess its the eyes. On top of the grooming expense, I am now paying $256 for the meds to fix what the groomer caused. read more

Our little dog got his ear cut off and singed at this shop. No apologies, no discount, no explanation. Just didn't care. Then, we thought maybe it was a freak accident...took him again a couple months ago and the groomer CUT OFF HIS DEW CLAW. We had to pay $180 for the vet, with it bleeding profusely. Not only was there no apology, but the owner told my husband she was NOT paying our vet bill. THE NERVE. Our neighbors also took their dog to Gala and she had to go to the vet with a damaged shoulder and throat...it was dislocated bc they let the dog hang herself. DO NOT RECOMMEND. THEY HAVE A HISTORY OF PETS BEING BADLY HURT AND THEY WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. read more

I have taken my dog to Gala Pet Styling, on several occasions. As a pet owner, I have a right to inform the groomer about my dog ie issues with ears etc. and I have a right to question anything that happens to my dog when he is in the hands of groomer. Galina was very negative and condescending when I asked questions. I have to take my dog to the vet and was trying to gather facts. Every owner loves their pet and need to feel comfortable leaving their family member. I will not do business with an owner who displays this type of attitude. . read more

I took my Aussie doodle for her first cut and was very happy with the result. She looked so good! She was happy when I picked her up and I loved the little bows in her hair. She will be much more comfortable with the short hair in the summer heat. We will definitely be back! read more

I have taken my pampered pup to a few different places, and lately I just felt they weren't doing my little guy any justice. I am such a weird pet owner, and I am very uncomfortable leaving him with just anyone. He is a small pup, and pretty skittish if he's around loud people or children. So, as you can imagine, I'm pretty picky. I called around to a few places who were all booked up, and Gala could get me in the fastest. There is a location that is closer to my home so I hesitated at first. They couldn't get him in so I took a shot with Gala, and I'm so very glad that I did. I walked in hesitantly at first, and all the ladies working there ooh'ed and ahh'ed over my little pupper. Galena walked right up to him and she made him feel right at ease. He had a hematoma in one of his ears before I had gotten him, and she noticed it right away. She brought it up, and I was very impressed. She is the first groomer to ever mention it or ask me about it. She knows her stuff. My appointment was for 1:00 and she told me that they were pretty busy so I could expect him to be done around 5:30 or so. I wasn't sure what to expect so I was a bit nervous. I swear I'm as bad as someone leaving their child in day care for the first time.. haha. I ran some errands and got back there before time because I couldn't wait any longer. He was ready, and she smiled when she saw me. She brought him out to me, and he was totally transformed. Oh my Gosh, he looks so freakin adorable and he smells AMAZING!!! She pampered my pup right up. She told me that he was accustomed to being groomed and had most likely been groomed before I had adopted him too. I seriously am impressed and I will recommend her to anyone with a pooch or furball kitty. Wow! The only thing I wish I had known prior, is that you cannot add a tip if you pay by credit card, so BRING CASH! I will definitely be a regular at Gala's, and I'm sure my pretty little pup won't mind a bit! read more

Galena might be the best dog groomer in the Greater Cincinnati area. I love being able to take my dog to her and know I am getting a top rate, reasonably priced cut. She is kind to all of the clients (2 and 4 legged) and helpful with any issues or questions you may be having. She is incredibly flexible with time and when you need to pick your dog up. It is a small local business that I love helping out. When you walk into the lobby it is plain with a few waiting chairs, but clean and bright. It has a small table with other dog items for sale, and a reception desk. You can pay cash or charge, but you can't put tip on the charge so make sure you bring cash. I brought a list of instructions for how I wanted my dog cut. I highly recommend this place! read more

We started taking our skittish small male dog to gala about a year ago. Corky is a Lhasa apso mix with who knows what. He has very thick curly fur and a very thick under coat. He also has a lot of kinks throughout his body i.e. hip dysplasia and knobby knees. He is difficult to cut and as he doesn't like to stay still, doesn't like strangers to touch his tail..paws..ears etc.. This place is WONDERFUL!! I believe he has been cut by each of the stylist there and after the first couple of cuts they got it perfect. I love that they keep everything on record so when we go in they ask do you want the same as last time and all I have to do is say yes and I can be completely confident it will be like last time. I cannot say enough good about this place. My dog never leaves anxious or shaking. He always smell AMAZING!!!! I mean, for weeks he smells and feels amazing. You can be confident that you will get polite service and your pet will be well cared for. After this dog being sliced open (to the bone) at another groomer it was a huge relief to take him somewhere where he doesn't pee himself once he realizes whats going on!!!! Thank you Gala Pet!!!!
