We had a great time at Barks and bubbles, just got my pup. I had her three days and I took her in to be bathed and cleaned up, they did a wonderful job and she did come from a kennel and she was quite happy when she went in and even more happy when she came out. We will be using them about every six weeks, they're five minutes from my house and it's a lovely place and more important than the people are lovely and take good care of our pups. read more

I hesitated to write this review because I've had prior good experiences here. However, after my most recent experience with Barks and Bubbles, I will not be a returning customer. I've been able to put up with their terrible communication and weird hours because they usually do such an amazing job with my Aussie. I only take him 1-2 times a year for a little trim and clean up. I always specify no shaving because he has a double coat, and it has never been a problem in the past. But this time I showed up to a completely different dog. His entire coat had been completely shaved off. Now I'll be working on it for the next several months and praying it grows back normal. They were literally told not to shave him, and it's not like we're new customers. Will not be returning here. read more

I am so confused by this place. Let me start by saying my first experience was positive...or should I say pawsitive. They were one of the few places that could trim my labradoodle and not make him look goofy, for a really good price. Knowing this, I continued to attempt to book here. However, a couple things of note. 1. They literally never answer their phone. I'm a millennial and hate answering the phone, this place puts me to shame! 2. They rarely call back. On more than one occasion I have had to go somewhere else because they literally will not call you back. 3. I have zero idea their hours. I was in the process of scheduling an appointment via the phone and knowing they would not call back I stated (or should I say pled) I am available all week please call me back and I will be there whenever you are available. Finally, at 8:50 PM on a Friday night, they called back and said Wednesday at 8:45 drop off your dog. This was in response to my Tuesday at 10am phone call the prior week. So I did; I have to admit I didn't entirely expect them to be there. It all felt very weird. They did not give me an expected pick up time and instead called me at 1:15 and said not only my dog was ready for pickup BUT that they would be closing at FIFTEEN minutes. Explain that to me. So here I am waking a two year old from nap time and loading four months old twins at nascar pit stop worthy speed hoping I don't inconvenience the groomer or somehow my dog ends up doing an overnight spa experience. Every moms worst nightmare waking a two year old who just settled at nap time because this place is closing in fifteen minutes. (I write this review currently with a napless two year old falling apart as a result of this wildness.) Again they do a good job. They're no longer the good deal that they were and are matched to price just about anyone around. Because of this, it is not worth the trade off involved in a lower price. In the future, I will seek out a more professional establishment. read more

Won't go again. Had to return because my dog was not trimmed around his neck and ears. Today, one week after grooming, I trimmed his nails which were starting to curl they are so long. A nail trim was included. Just because I didn't opt for the upgrade of nail grinding, doesn't mean the nails shouldn't be trimmed properly. With a tip, this cost me over ten dollars a pound for my small dog who is very quiet and complacent. read more

I will echo the review of Kristin S., especially regarding their communication or jaw dropping lack there of, including their ever changing hours and "closing in 15 minutes" routine. Our Yorkie Poo was groomed on a Monday, and when I got the call he was ready and they were closing in 15 minutes, I raced to pick him up. When I dropped him off, I had double checked that he was a small dog because the price had gone up significantly, and was told he was, and the price would be $65.00 if paid in cash, but $70.00 if not. So I went to an ATM to get cash for when I picked him up. When I arrived for pick up, I was then told it would be $75.00 because it was determined he was a medium size dog. Of course I was not at all happy about that since I had confirmed the small dog price before leaving him. I only had $80.00 that I had just taken from the ATM, and he claimed that they had no cash to give change. Now, this is a place that encourages paying by cash, yet they cannot make change. Ridiculous. More about the price, because he had just had his nails trimmed at the vet, I had previously asked if there was a discount since that was included in the price, and was told there is no discount. So, not only did they not have to do as much work, and I was given no allowance for that, but then the price was $10.00 MORE! Double ridiculous and bad business. They owe me at least $5.00, but actually $15.00 for the bate and switch price. Beginning the next day, I made several attempts to call the owner and left several messages and sent a text for her to call me. It is now 4 days later, and still no call or text from her. So, in addition to this review, I will be opening up a case with the BBB. read more

Missy does such a great job with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. They're pretty laid back dogs and she's so complimentary of them whenever we come. I often contact her the night before or a few hours before to create an appointment and she can always squeeze them in. Their cuts look great and they smell great for days! She offers several different packages and services à la carte. read more

Super friendly! They do everything they can to make sure dogs feel comfortable while at the same time making sure everyone is safe. Facilities are clean and fresh looking. They do drop ins for nail clipping which is always nice, just call first to make sure they are open and have the time! read more

Gizmo and Tsotso get very nervous and anxious when we bring them to the groomers and are usually shaking profusely when we pick them up! Not this time!! This was the biggest mistake of my life! I went in with my miniature schnauzer and asked for the legs and belly to be shaved only. I let my contact information upon registration in case they need to contact me and for pick up. When I picked my dog up, they had shaved him BALD! His beard, legs, back face was gone. I asked why it was and why my instructions from my counseltation were not followed. I was just told he was matted. Ok. That I can accept but his beard WAS NOT MATTED. read more

I don't even know where to begin.. .Missy is such a beautiful loving spirit & my elderly Labrador Retriever just absolutely adored her. My Desperado call at the last minute looking for boarding was met w/ such kind generosity & Missy took Mira into her home, so I could go on my 1st NC beach vacation in several years. Mira was bathed without me even asking...as I "forgot" with trying to get my act together at the last minute All I can say is God was smiling on me to bring such a caring woman to my aid as I hadn't been apart from my dog since some trauma occurred nearly 2 years ago, where Mira protected me from a gang of guys in a parking lot. Where my family's furry members go to get pretty... Barks-N-Bubbles is a tiny grooming business in West Chester that can make even the most scraggly and homely dog look show-ready. I used to have two dogs that were particularly difficult to groom, one because of (horrible) attitude and one because of (gargantuan) size. The staff at Barks-N-Bubbles was more than accommodating to both and when I went to pick them up, they even informed me that they absolutely loved grooming them! Now I know from personal experience that those dogs were a pain in the butt to wash-both were terrified of water and let you know it-so either Barks-N-Bubbles employs some kind of magic or the staff lies convincingly. Either way, I'm satisfied, and I'll keep taking my puppies back for as long as I'm in Cincy! (By appointment only) read more

I Made an appointment for Saturday at 2:30 for my puppy to get groomed. I showed up promptly at 2:20. When I got there the door was locked and no one was answering the phone. I waited for another 25 minutes thinking maybe they were at lunch. Yet, no one showed. I called three times then left a voicemail and no one has called me back to explain or apologize. Very unprofessional!!! Needless to say, I will not be back! This was so disappointing, as I love supporting small, local businesses. read more

We take our shih-tzu to this very friendly and small grooming shop. We love the groomers. They're friendly, easy to work with, and you can tell they love animals. Be sure to leave a message if you don't get someone live to answer the phone. They always call back within a day. This is a great place to take your dog if they don't like being around a lot of other dogs. There are usually only a few other dogs there. I highly recommend Barks n Bubbles! read more

I'm really not much of a review writer, but Missy (the owner) deserves 5 stars! Her place is small and well kept, creating a more one on one experience and keeps my Aussie, Dakota, much happier. We've been taking Dakota there since she's been a year old. Being an Aussie she gets mats throughout her fur and an uncontrollable amount of "butt fluff". I tried taking her to PetsMart grooming first (we love the store near us) but Dakota was absolutely terrified so we decided to try something else. The first time we took Dakota to Barks n Bubbles, poor Missy had the hardest time grooming her! She wouldn't sit still and went potty everywhere. However, the very next time was better.... And now Dakota doesn't seem to mind at all (mind that she refuses to go anywhere else, anyway). What I truly love besides the kindness that Missy has towards our pup is the dedication she puts into her work. You can really tell she does her job because she loves it, not just for the money. And the best thing? Dakota gets fully groomed, nails trimmed, bathed, and an adorable little handkerchief around her neck for half the price of PetsMart. Half! On a side note, she smells good for MONTHS. I'm not kidding or exaggerating here. She can get wet, muddy, or just go for months and she somehow still smells great (keep in mind Aussies do supposedly have hypoallergenic fur ). Whatever she uses I need to go out and buy. 5 stars for this small business hands down! read more
