I loved the look but not the price. I was driving by and found this shop. I went inside and met Brandon he showed me their granite selection, they had fewer choices but they had a sample that looked almost identical to the one we wanted. Brandon said I would be happily surprised by their quote. I sent them our dimensions and boy was he right. They offered a much more affordable price. Needless to say we placed our order, the gentleman came out and measured the space. Within days they were giving us an installation date. Ryan and Austin called and were here within half an hour. They brought in the granite, drilled a couple holes for faucet and garbage disposal button and installed each countertop. We needed a couple pieces throughout our kitchen, they did a great job making sure the process went smoothly and without making a mess. They made everything was cleaned and installed properly. We are thrilled and will highly recommend this company to anyone looking for tile, granite or other stone work.

Once it was installed I realized how much everything else needed to be replaced as well and didn't even look anywhere else because I knew these guys would save me a ton and they have the newest products that are still in store at HD and Lowe's. I bought a washer & dryer, dishwasher and stove. For this order I didn't even go to the store, I worked with Han via Facebook chat and paid over the phone. She showed me pictures and made sure we were getting everything we wanted, and for an amazing price. No way we could have afford all of that if it wasn't for this place. They are extremely reliable and professional which is such a relief compared to some of the reviews from other discount appliance places that had me worried. It's hard to see in the pictures if there are any scratches and dents visible so I'll share incase you're wondering and looking; there's none on any of the visible surfaces in my home, so no one would know. They were able to get me the right ones that the dent or scratch would face a wall no one would see. :) I also love that it's a small family business, they work so hard together and they're really genuine people. Such a nice change from Lowe's that you don't know who to contact or when they're showing up. They communicate the whole way and show up when they say they are.

The service exceeded my…read moreexpectations, and I appreciate the owner's understanding regarding a manufacturer issue--specifically, the failure to inform customers and service providers that a previously low-cost repair had been replaced by a redesigned, significantly higher-cost part. This situation was disappointing for both the owner and myself. I valued the owner's transparency and feedback, and ultimately we decided to replace the washer rather than proceed with a repair that exceeded the machine's value. Unfortunately, this reflects a broader issue where manufacturers make it increasingly difficult to maintain older appliances due to costly design changes. Great staff and honest service at Doc's Appliance Service.

After several trips and part swaps they could not fix it. I asked My HP plan company to send out someone else. Docs Appliance came out, and Anthony was the tech. He reviewed all the previous work. After more inspection Anthony found some burned out components on the User Interface board. He was able to get a new one and replaced the defective one. After that the dishwasher powered on, and now works great. Thanks to Docs and Anthony for solving this problem

Blue Diamond Laundromat - Had my pick of any washing machine here

    Blue Diamond Laundromat

I didn't really think I'd see the day when I'd give something as basic and bereft of enthusiasm…read moregeneration as a laundromat the maximum rating but I'm throwing out the 5 star carpet to welcome Blue Diamond to Yelp. And the reason for the rave review boils down to one single thing that's often repeated in triplicate: location, location, location! I mean, it does have other things going for it but at the end of the day it's still a laundromat. Here's what's so special about BDL. It's open all night and it's next door to a diner that, for 4 out of 7 nights at least, is also open all night. I can throw my clothes in the wash, walk a few feet over to Phoenix Coney Island, get a carryout, eat most of it in the laundromat while waiting for the wash to finish, not miss a moment throwing it in the dryer, and then finish my grub while my clothes tumble dry. No idle time surfing the internet on my phone, watching bits and pieces of a show on Hulu or whatever streaming service I have at the moment, no, ahem, pecking out Yelp reviews. Pure, glorious nourishment of my belly to help soothe the drudgery of laundry. It's an absolutely ingenious set up. Even college towns like Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti don't have this one two punch of essential services and I don't know why. It's kind of cool the way Blue Diamond is off the main drag of Van Dyke but also why I never noticed it, nor did anyone else on Yelp, til recently. I was just in here late Easter night for a little grub and glow up (does cleaning one's clothes count as a glow up? Maybe I'm being overly charitable here but I always strive for alliteration) and an attendant came in for a little clean up and coin retrieval at that late hour. I chatted him up some and he said he thought the place had been open for about two years. He didn't know what it was before which I'm curious about as the building has an interesting look with a slanted roof that rises and rises the farther away from Van Dyke it gets. Blue Diamond is very bare bones when it comes to decor. Boring white walls. No video games or pinball, just a couple vending machines- snacks and sodas and water. But who cares, right? All night coney island right next door. The attendant says they might even try to start serving food out of the laundromat which seems pretty unnecessary to me, but there is one area with a counter and a metal roll down window above it that does look like it's unused space. I also complimented the attendant on how clean the place is and then looked around and saw there was actually a bunch of dryer sheets and assorted litter around on the floor. But hey, it was the end of a holiday weekend. On my other visit the place is as spic and span as you'd hope for. All night laundromats aren't the easiest to keep spotless. As he said sometimes people roll through and trash the place. And honestly as long as the machines and folding tables are clean I don't care too much if the rest is a little rough around the edges. I'm too busy stuffing my face with food from next door. The only downside of Blue Diamond is it's a bit out of my way, but hey, I can't really mark them down for that, right? It just means I usually end up at worse laundromats that are more conveniently located. If I ever find myself in a living situation with on site laundry it would be a tremendous accomplishment but I might even miss this place a little. And I've only been here a couple times so far!

I was happy to purchase a beautiful Yellow Forsythia Artificial Wreath for My Front Double Doors and 2 sets of colored Tulips for an artificial floral arrangement at this Ollie's Bargain Outlet. I also purchased Serta Soft Cool and Warm material Bed sheets throughout my browsing and price checking with comparison. Yes, this location maybe disorganized at times or messy areas of towels or other sale items but shoppers can be the reason because every time I shop here for a sale item or check on an ad item, the staff here are working the best they can and hard at times unpacking boxes to stocking shelves. I've been greeted with a Hello at times which is courtesy of them in between their busy work schedule. If busy at check out and a long line begins, another pleasant employee will open up another register. Seasonal merchandise is always plenty especially My last visit in February the store was ready stocked with Easter and Spring items which I posted photos of from the main center areas. I've never had a problem but just in case grab an item from the back or if up front check the date. The "Library" area lol is still great for Readers with Shelves of Books labeled with different signs for the different readers. Currently their Summer Ad is out with Window Air Conditioners, and Portable on Wheels too to get ready for the Heat of Michigan. Those would be good for College dorms or residents without A/C. I also noticed in their New Flyer for the month of May, they are selling a brand of different tools called Hart. How about a front or patio door Coir Mat? I will however admit that the store could be much more clean and organized, as the floor and shelves are often messy, and many aisles are almost bare of products. While this is unfortunately the case, I must add that I do see employees out doing what they can to remedy the situation, and all of the employees I've interacted with have been friendly and helpful. The store is large, and I love their huge selection of books. They also have a very large parking lot, so there is no issue finding a spot. It's great for yard and home items, also rugs and carpet remnants. Ollie's could use some polishing, but it's still a great quick stop shop.
