After several trips and part swaps they could not fix it. I asked My HP plan company to send out someone else. Docs Appliance came out, and Anthony was the tech. He reviewed all the previous work. Taking a lot of time and testing he noticed that the wiring harness that had been replaced was installed incorrectly. After more inspection Anthony found some burned out components on the User Interface board. He was able to get a new one and replaced the defective one. She first mentioned that would be difficult. Then she said they wouldn't schedule a visit for a Friday. They only send out technicians for stacked units on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Why not just spit it out that you don't want to service a stacked unit and stop beating around the bush? Ridiculous place. I was willing to put up with their 5 hour window for a day as it was, but forcing me to take a day off for them to come when it's only convenient for them is not good for me. They blew up my phone (called over 10 times in 24 hours and continued through the next week) he even threatened to knock on all of my tenants doors at 8am until they got paid for diagnosing despite their promise to incorporate it into fixing the issue. I did some internet research and found Gabriel's vacuum was not only closer to home, but had awesome reviews! Anyway, I hustled in on a Saturday morning with the vacuum and was greeted by two men in the store. While it's not the fanciest store, it's probably the best in town for a few reasons. First, they're honest and their pricing can't be beat. They sell nicer vacuums that you can't necessarily get at other stores like Walmart or Meijer. They also are very honest about the brands, what works and what would work best for you. Anyway, I told the man what we needed and left the vacuum. He said it would be ready Monday, and I was okay with that. Estimates are free here and they sell all the parts and pieces to go with what you own. you can also purchase rebuilt vacuums for a very reasonable price if you don't want to drop $300+ dollars, which I loved. About 3 hours later I got a call from the store from the same man who helped me. He said that he cleaned up the vacuum, put in an authorized bag, greased the roller and said that it needed a new bering. The cost for the new bering was $40.50 which wasn't bad. I also picked up extra 3 extra belts for home and a pack of custom vacuum bags for $20 plus tax. Total bill? a touch over $60. The vacuum retails for over $300 and requires occasional maintenience as any quality machine does. Overall I was satisfied with my experience here for a few reasons. First, the new AND used selection of vacuums for sale. I love that you can shop here if you need a new machine or a rebuilt one at a discount. Second, the honesty. We talked about repair costs on other machines and what their downfalls are. We also talked about what good selling features some of the brands have, so that helped. The knowledge base is amazing with these guys and they won't do you wrong. Overall I really enjoyed my experience here and will gladly return in the future. They also have a second location in Mount Clemens but that's way to far for me to drive.
