A repeat customer, and once again, I received exceptional service. You can be confident that the technician who comes to your home will give you an honest assessment of your appliance. They will make every effort to determine whether the repair is reasonable and worthwhile. And if it isn't, they will tell you honestly that repairing the appliance may not be the best choice and that it may be time to consider replacing it. Who does that? With this company, honesty isn't just something they advertise--it's the way they do business. That kind of integrity and customer service is hard to find today. 5 out of 5 stars without hesitation. Highly recommended--you will not be disappointed! read more

Had global appliance out - thru consumers power - guy spent half hour checking out a 1 year old refrigerator- left paperwork saying it was toast. Docs appliance- fortunately to rescue! James showed up - knew it was bad ice filter - working great now ! read more

Had a Dishwasher that was out of commission for weeks- would not power on. Another company had been dispatched by my Home Protection plan to fix it. After several trips and part swaps they could not fix it. I asked My HP plan company to send out someone else. Docs Appliance came out, and Anthony was the tech. He reviewed all the previous work. Taking a lot of time and testing he noticed that the wiring harness that had been replaced was installed incorrectly. After more inspection Anthony found some burned out components on the User Interface board. He was able to get a new one and replaced the defective one. After that the dishwasher powered on, and now works great. Thanks to Docs and Anthony for solving this problem read more

Joe and his team are amazing. After 5 years of living with my lower oven on my viking dual oven unit not working they fixed it. It took time to get parts but well worth it. His team payed special attention to my cabinet and flooring ensuring no damage. Highly recommend them. read more

After giving details about my dishwasher repair needs, I was told that I was outside of their service area at 14 and Schoenherr. I see reviews from Troy, Oakland, New Baltimore etc... but 5 miles is outside of your service area? Apparently, they didn't want my business, but I found someone who did... I guess they have too much work as it is. read more

I was very pleased with my experience with Doc's Appliance. They sent someone out within a day or so, and the technician figured out the problem in like three minutes. Ask for James if you can, because he really knows his stuff! And is very professional, kind, and efficient. He was able to fix our issue as soon as the part came in, and I felt it was reasonably priced too. Thanks again! read more

The spring on our dishwasher door broke so we called Doc's to see if they had the part in stock. They did, so I ran up there and bought it, took it home and we had our dishwasher repaired in less than an hour. They are very knowledgable and helpful and offer great customer service. I wouldn't hesitate to call them if I needed a repair done on an appliance in our home. read more

I just waited for 4 days and paid $105:to be told they couldn't fix my refrigerator and I would have to call someone else.

Charged me over $40 for a part that should have only cost at most $20 and could buy for $15 ... somewhere else.

Taylor came out to service my not quite 3 year old GE "smart" washer that I purchased after my 35 year old Whirlpool finally died. The part was too expensive to replace, so we decided to buy a new one. I asked Taylor which he would suggest, and he spent some time telling me which ones last the longest. So I ordered a new one online from Lowe's and they are delivering it today. I have never had a problem with Doc's. They always send someone out ASAP, and the people they send out are always professional and courteous. Taylor was funny, too! The only thing they need is a 24 hour or after hours call service dept to set up appointments for the next day. read more

I have a dryer that keeps having problems with the timer. So instead of replacing it and paying $500 or $600 for a new one, I contacted Doc's and got a replacement part. The replacement part wasn't expensive and I had it in about 2 days. The guys inside the store were helpful and close to my house. If your appliances can be fixed you should check these guys out. read more

I contacted Doc's when my usual repair company was backlogged. My washing machine stopped at the rinse cycle and left me with a tub full of soapy washer and clothes. They were able to come out the next day with an arrival window of 8am-1pm. I received a call at 11:30am to alert me the tech would be arriving shortly, which he did about 10 mins later. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue and my luck, he had the part in his van. He was efficient and communicated clearly what he needed to do. He made sure I was aware what the total cost was prior to starting (which I appreciated). All in all, I was very pleased with the service! I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because I feel like there should be a bit of a break on the $105 service if you're paying for parts & labor. read more

Had an appointment scheduled for 9/23/2021 for a dryer repair and was thrilled when they called and asked if they could come today, 9/15/2021. Jay came out and was friendly and we were very impressed at how he took the dryer apart and inspected, especially since when he arrived, the dryer decided to start working. He replaced three parts on it, greased it up and now dryer is running and much quieter too. Jay said the dryer is in good shape and should last several more years. So happy Doc's was able to fix it, since right now gas dryers are hard to find and the one I want would have taken at least 6 weeks for it to be delivered to local store. This is second time I have used Doc's and last time was for a refrigerator repair and refrigerator is still running well and is almost 18 years old. read more

We all hate appliance repair. You never know what place to call that you would feel confidently that you're going to get a reputable repairman. I have used this location for many repairs. I have always been very satisfied. Whether it was going into the store directly and speaking with the employees or having repairman come out to my house it has always been outstanding. Two particular men Joe and Matt have always been helpful when I really been in the store. I would recommend this place as a trustworthy option read more

Critical: Poor Quality, Poor Responsiveness, No Value Did not take one tool out or panel off of refrigerator said would cost $1500 and take 6 hours to fix. More interested in getting $95 service charge no intention of fixing! Unprofessional and full of BS! Had it fixed by another company for $375 Took 11/2 hours time . Would not use this company ever! read more

I live in Sterling Heights . I had a service call today from Doc's. The repairman was Danny. He was on time. He was very competent and worked without any "drama" at all. I had two issues he needed to address. Garbage disposal and microwave oven. The garbage disposal was done quick. The microwave? Not so much. After trying to fix it, his professional opinion was to maybe. " just buy a new one". I suspected that would be the diagnosis Good service. Satisfied customer. Thanks Danny . . . and one more thing Because I am always a bit skeptical of letting workers into my home when I'm there alone, I felt very good about Doc's keeping in touch with Danny all the time. Everybody knows where everybody is! That's a good thing. (maybe it's just the mom in me) read more

They repaired my dishwasher promptly but I got overcharged! First they charged my credit card 3 times for the deposit! Had to call to get that straightened out. Then when I submitted the bill to my extended warranty company, I found out they charged me for the part and they also got reimbursed by Kitchensid for the part! Double dipping! I would have had no idea if not for my extended warranty!!! Won't use them again!! read more

After another (nationally known) repair company charged me $200 to vacuum the back and bottom of my refrigerator only to have it totally break down within 2 weeks, I called Doc's Appliance Repair. The technician knew right away what the problem was. Although I had to wait 3 weeks for the part to come in and get another appointment, my fridge was repaired and has been humming right along for 3 weeks. The technician was polite, knowledgeable, and willing to answer all my questions. read more

My 89 year old mother had Doc's out on October 14, 2020. Repair guy for a two year old LG refrigerator serviced refrigerator and said it was not the compressor. Called another repair service and was told it was the compressor. We have contacted Doc's several times and the fridge worked for a short period of time but went out again and again. Called Doc's back on April 27, 2021 because refrigerator wasn't working again and the guy finally said it was the compressor. Had to use Doc's because it was part of the service contract with ABC Warehouse. It is now going to take until July 1 to get the compressor in to replace it. In the meantime, my 90 year old parents have to go up and down the stairs to the basement refrigerator several times a day because these guys can't get it fixed. If it doesn't get fixed this time, it may be time to have the lemon law on the LG refrigerator. Don't buy LG and don't use Doc's. read more

Doc's came out to repair our (two-year old, high-efficiency) washer. It had two issues: it leaked and released a horrible gas smell. The tech was confident it was due to the suspension and we paid for him to replace it about a week later. It cost around $280 when all was said and done. I was very clear with him: "Are you SURE this will fix the smell and the leak?" He said yes. Well no, it didn't. It still leaks and releases gas. When we called to express this, they said we probably need another part - which will be our expense. I don't have unlimited funds for Doc's to play guess-and-check on my washer. If they weren't confident the suspension caused the problem, they shouldn't have replaced it (and charged me)! At this point, why would I allow them back into my home when A) they obviously don't know how to fix it, and B) I'm investing more in this washer than it's worth? read more

Had a very good experience with Doc's and their technician Taylor T. Helpful, knowledgeable, on time and just down right helpful. My washer repair was a saga to end all sagas due to an extended warranty with Consumer Priority Services (I would not recommend them at all, but will not go into detail here). Doc's was great, the repair was done timely, the technician was professional, knowledgeable and downright nice. We will use them again and will recommend their services to anyone who will listen. Thanks to Doc's and their great staff! read more

From the moment I spoke with Doreen my fears were put to rest. The front loader washing machine was making horrible sound. OMG! What the hell is that. A bra underwire got stuck in the washing drum. Great! There was no way we were going to try and fix that. After googling repair on front washers and watching a video we knew we couldn't handle this repair. So we checked Yelp and found Doc's Appliance repair. They actually deserve5 stars.. Doreen took our info and had a service tech here by 2:30. Jesse got right to work and fixed the problem within a little over an hour. Watching him take the machine apart we knew we made the right decision. What a job/pain that would have been. I highly recommend this company. BTW. They also knocked off 15%. That was truly appreciated.. read more

This company has always been very reliable and courteous during their appointments. Absolutely a great service! Previously, we had been getting repairs from a different company called A&E appliance. They are are horrible. Please avoid them at ALL COST. Ever since switching to Doc's, we have never had a problem, whatsoever. Also, they do offer warranties for appliances bought at Sergent's. If you get the chance, buy that, because it will offer you absolute peace of mind, as again, Doc's really do take care of their stuff. 5 STAR COMPANY FOR SURE! read more

This place took almost 2 weeks to come out. Fridge was under warranty from ABC warehouse. The people who answered the phone are as rude as could be. Today I called after waiting 13 days to see if they were still coming. She disconnected me 3 times in the morning and once in the afternoon. Cindy was her name. Nasty bitchy rude woman. Tech shows up and says you needs all these parts. He was in the house 5 minutes and said 2 more weeks. Worst customer service ever. After talking to friends they had the same nightmare. Rude people. Called ABC they are sending someone tomorrow to fix or replace. Do not use this company! Tech was just as rude as Cindy! read more

The folks at Docs Appliance were great to work with. I have Viking Grill the kind that is built in the island. So this can be a issue if you need repairs, plus you can't just grab it and take to the repair shop. The issue the girl I had bought was set up for Lp gas but I wanted to switch it over to use gas so I could use the gas from my home. This something that takes a different type regulator so I got the parts but I couldn't get the girl to work. So I had called Docs for service. The thing is I did not get the parts from Docs they still come to my house and fixed I less then two hours. Money well spent. Thanks Docs come over a we have a BBQ read more

Doc's Appliance Service - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Utica, Michigan

Worst customer service EVER + incredibly HIGH PRICED! These guys are the very worst. After waiting a week for a repair, the tech came and I told him that we think it is the fuse on our dryer. (we did some research online since it was going to take a week for them to come out.) The guy put in the fuse in about 3 minutes. I walked into the other room a second, came back and he told me it was working. He never told me the price of what this would cost until i asked how much i owed. He told me it was $216. 85 for service fee, which i knew about, about 29.95 for the part and $95 for the LABOR of less than 5 minutes. The guy was rude and asked if I wanted it removed! My husband came home at that moment and asked if he quoted me and of course HE DID NOT. My husband had planned on getting it diagnosed and fixing himself. The service guy lied and said he did. I suppose asking if I wanted him to remove the part was his way of telling me the price. Of course I was thinking he would charge me another $95 for removing it too. Husband asked him to leave so we could deal with the owner. Anyway - even the owner backed the service tech and I think it is totally RIDICULOUS to charge $95 labor for 5 minutes on top of the $85 service fee for a $29 part. He said that replacing the part was their way of diagnosing it. LOL - then why charge the $95 labor? Will not be back Owner called us liars. We paid in cash and he expected not to give us a receipt & said he would mail it. Hmp.... we made him give us a receipt on the spot. We would not trust him for a second. read more

Just called a few minutes ago to set up an appointment through our Home Warranty to have our washer fixed. Our mother is law is physically disabled so as you can imagine our washer is our life line right now. I spoke with Erica and kindly and respectfully explained the situation. She was very cold and extremely short. She said the only opening was at the beginning of October. What good is a warranty if the service doesn't apply to the need especially in our dire circumstance. The first person you speak to on the phone is huge because they represent the company. Erica did not do this company justice. read more

I wish i had read more reviews of this place before using them. I just had a repair done today. It took the guy 20 mins. The labor was $120 *$%*^ plus the $90 it took to have them come out. I expected that to be rolled in. The service was great, the tech was super nice and helpful. But i wish i had just bought a new dryer at that cost. $360/hr plus $90 show-up seems pretty steep. read more
