There are well maintained restrooms available, and cutting stations can be found if needed. They offer a monthly kids crafts event, along with other, occasional, informative classes, and they always have great seasonal deals to take advantage of (both in-store and online). My visit today though, was of a different manner. I'm working to socialize my new pup, possibly as a service dog, and I was told Home Depot was a dog friendly store. Upon entering, I did stop at customer service to be sure it was allowed. The employee enthusiastically replied that all well behaved furry companions were welcomed at Home Depot, the only expectation is that the owners clean up messes. I was relieved and we happily went about our training. Honestly, it could not have been more of a positive experience for us. All of the employees we meet were very friendly, and we were acknowledged often seeing if we needed assistance. We did a few laps around the store, found a cute plant to commemorate my pups first in-shop (besides pet stores) adventure. It was a great shopping trip, I definitely can recommend the Utica location, and I'm sure I'll be visiting again soon.

I am not one to write bad reviews even when I feel it's needed but I also am not in the position to just give away free money so I am trying to do whatever possible to get my refund from Jason, he completed work for us back in March he fixed our fridge cooling issue then we also had an issue with our fridge ice maker that we decided to fix as well, Jason installed the part and the fridge did not start making ice so I contacted and let him know, he came back out to take a look and told me that a wire leading into the door had snapped and that's why the new part won't work, he said the only fix would be a new door, we contemplated going through with it at first but because we just fixed one issue on the fridge we figured we want the whole thing working, Jason had agreed to split the difference of the part and the door, or refund us for the ice maker part if we didn't want to get the new door, which is shown in the messages below. He did mention it would take awhile for the door to come in, so time went on and after awhile I felt it was taking a little too long so we checked up and that's when things got bad but I continued to give the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe there was some miscommunication, maybe he was just busy when we messaged, give him more time but no he continued to ignore the messages, and my partner felt scammed, I having been the one that was home when Jason serviced the fridge did not think he was that kind of guy so I then contacted Cierra, the girl who schedules his services calls for him and explained to her the situation she said she would contact him and get back to me, a few hours later she called back saying yes Jason will send the refund and that it was $215 and to send her my Venmo so she can send it to him and I would receive it by the end of the day. Nothing. I again tried to give the benefit of the doubt, maybe he forgot, he got busy. So I gave it a few days/the weekend, then sent a message requesting an update, and from here on I have been ignored and I believe blocked because my calls to Cierra and Jason himself are being sent directly to voicemail. I then went on to read google and yelp reviews and see that similar situations have happened to others. I am determined to get my refund, I have not once been vulgar with this man, harassed or anything else to him or his employee yet now I am very clearly being ignored to avoid giving me my refund. Because he states in one of his responses of his 1 star yelp reviews "it's the principle of not taking advantage of a small business" I want him to have the same morals towards his customers and not take advantage of them.

However, Weingartz reality I experienced is not at all like those posts. It's near impossible to provide the service, staff, expertise, and stock innumerable parts to service everyone with malfunctioning busted old equipment.
