I first came across this place in Caledon because I wanted a lottery ticket for that nights big draw. Well i didnt win LOL. I did win in finding a hidden Italian eatery/ bakery instead. I was staving that evening and needed something besides the Subway across the street or a bag of chip at the store.
I saw some basket of breads as I was going back to my car, looked at the sign and decided to go inside.
Immediately I saw a hot table in front of me and to my surprise was a few pasta choices to choose from. Meat or Cheese Lasagna, Cheese Ravioli, Cannalloni, Gnocchi and Pasta of some sort. Above they had other items like Riceballs, Pizza, Stuffed Zucchini's to name a couple. Than to my right was another hot station of rice, grilled veggies, sasauges etc..
That day I ordered the lasagna and it was delish! I saw some side toppings and asked for mushrooms and onions (love them... it goes great with any dish!)
You can get your order on a dish or takeout container. The portions looked big so I asked for the takeout option (just in case I could not finish.
Than I noticed another display! Sweets!!! Oh my! Tarimasu, Cookies, Cupcakes... the list goes on. I passed on the sweets and went to the register. The very generous portion cost me just over $10. Not bad!
In the middle is where you can find your silverware or plastic utensils, salt, pepper, soy sauce (?), hot sauce and parmesean, straw and napkins. I maybe missing some spices... point is... whatever you order, the compliments to dress up your order is there.
There are about 4-6 tables and seating along the walls/ windows.
I have been here 3 times now... and I tried their ravioli and twice their lasagna. Very tasty and I am always left happy.
The washroom is a solo. Spaceous and for the most part clean. The dub it to store their toliet paper and paper towels in there. The sink faucet is a bit touchy.. Either too hot or too cold... plus its a dripper.
When I came out... I noticed the standalone freezers and the bread/ rolls.
It looks to me the individual or family size pastas, soups and sauces are homemade and for sale! So if you like their food... now tou have a way to bring some home to your family and friends.
Well today being my third time and I was shocked that there are NO Yelp reviews! Shocking!
Anyway, If you are driving up Airport after the township of Mono...?
Give this place a try if you are in the area.
