The owners are a husband and wife team, who are super friendly. They were kind enough to offer us a few samples of incredible shortbread and also local cheese, just delicious. They butcher meat in house and also prepare various food items to go like sausage rolls and the like. The shop offers lots of artisinal foodstuffs like tzatziki, cheese, freshly baked pastries, breads, along with cute household items. Looking forward to stopping in here regularly on trips to my in-laws!

The prices are very reasonable and the selection is good. The quality is outstanding. What attracted me to Mario's Meats is the availability of grass-fed beef at a reasonable price. Mario even has wild game meat in the back such as elk, bison, rabbit, venison and others. You should know that Mario's Meats offer delivery if you meet a certain minimum to make the drive worthwhile. Overall, I cannot recommend Mario's Meats enough. I'll be going back very soon for some Mennonite-raised chicken thighs and eggs, as well as grass-fed ground beef. To be clear, Mario has both, 100% grass-fed beef throughout the lifecycle of the cow and grass finished beef, whereby the cow is put on a grass-only diet during the last 3 months before slaughter.

Got a lead on Bonanza who truly is a meat boutique, every possible kind of meat, cut, animal, that you could want in every form (form whole lamb/rabbit) all the way down to fileted, portioned, chopped, etc. Basically if you can dream it... Bonanza can do it! The spaducci we got were easily double the size what I'm used to, and the lamb we perfectly marbled so I know when I eat these in about 6 hours they are going to be juicy, hot and delicious! It's a bit of a stretch to find the place, it's located off of Jevlan which you can access off of a side street that connects to Weston road just north of Hwy 7! Per chance i happened to speak with the owner and found out that this place existed, and, while it doesn't market itself as such, is actually fully organic and halal. I have a lot of halal only eating friends, and this changes things drastically for dinner at mine. The quality of meat is excellent and i find the prices extremely reasonable actually. I've also picked up 4 of their pies (if you get three, you get an extra one free - yes please), and all were really good, especially the chicken pot pie (pie crust on the bottom and on the top).
