I have never tried their hot bar but I see lots of people buying out of it.For me this place is more for picking up breakfast/brunch items. Their pricing is very reasonable and the food is immensely fresh.I do find this place is a bit dirty on their fresh produce side and therefore I don't buy those here.A little attention on cleanliness would definitely make place 5 star.Ample parking outside the store.

Tip: A veal sandwich is roughly $11 and includes toppings. Such a steal!…read more After I was done getting a replacement accessibility parking permit for my mom, I needed to grab some lunch. My original thought was to visit Calabria Bakery to get some Portuguese tarts. Instead, a sandwich board with a veal sandwich made me forget about tarts and go for this sandwich. I frankly don't know why I had never visited this bakery whenever I'm in this plaza for ServiceOntario or Dollarama. It's a combination of a bakery, Italian speciality grocery store, cafe, and restaurant. It was cool walking in and seeing pasta, mushroom spread, different types of canned tomatoes, and a lot more. I headed to the hot foods section. The amazing smell led me effortlessly over there. A woman put down a pan of veal in tomato sauce. I love a good veal sandwich. My mouth was salivating to what felt like no end. The menu doesn't indicate how much sandwiches are, so I asked how much a veal one would be. I think she said $11.50 and it comes with toppings. That's such a great deal! I got a veal sandwich with mushrooms and green bell peppers. She asked if I wanted the sandwich sliced in half. I said yes. I normally get my veal sandwich fix at California Sandwiches. It charges extra for each topping that you want. You do get more veal there, but you are looking at closer to $18 for a sandwich. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. Another woman put my sandwich in a paper bag. I thanked her and put my food in my insulated bag. I then headed to my car and drove home to enjoy lunch. This sandwich was excellent. It had the perfect veal slices with light breading. The veal was tender. It had the perfect amount of tomato sauce to keep the sandwich moist without making the bun soggy. I loved the mushrooms and green bell peppers. So good! I'd return just for this sandwich alone. I'd also get some chocolate croissants because they looked delicious. I saw frozen meatballs. I want to get some next time. I'm so glad that I finally dropped by this eatery. There are tables and chairs to dine in and take a load off your feet. Otherwise, takeout is great here, too. (418)

They also serve soups and sandwiches too, so you can pick up a meal here. There's nothing too hip or exceptional, but it delivers. They do offer a few deserts, but I don't believe I saw more elaborate items such as cakes. The deli counter seemed to have recognizable, middle-of-the-road brands such as Brandt and Pillars. I didn't pay attention to the pricing, but I just caught another review afterwards that said they sell cheaper than grocery stores. If that's the case, it may be worth coming here for that then. I picked up a marble rye, hot dog buns and cheese sticks, as well as a date square. All were perfectly fine, but nothing that jumped out at me - apart from the date square. If my review was on that alone, I would give it 5 stars. I don't care if people bug me and call me an old man, I love date squares and theirs is loaded with dates - easily twice as much as most others. For that reason, along with being close to work, I can see myself making regular stops here.

Signs on establishments in Polish and the style of buildings transported me back to my days living in the southern neighborhood of Warsaw. I had a little more time to spend shopping for Polish goodies before I had to head on to my next stop, so I decided that I was going to make it to Eddies Meat and Deli. BEST DECISION EVER. If you saw my review of Wisła, you know that this trip was on Holy Thursday, and just as before this place was PACKED. The lines to order meat (fresh or deli) were long as was the check out line. But we'll get to that. As I walked in, I was immediately struck with the larger assortment of products. I found my beloved Almette spread, and was willing to pay a high price no matter what because it is so difficult to obtain when I'm back at home. As I was scanning the dairy case, I came across Mlekovita's packaged Gołka cheese. For those who want to be accurate, this isn't oscypek, but it was close enough for me. The salty, smoked, "squeaky" cheese is a treat I haven't had in years. I took four packages.. I threw a couple of other items into my basket, and then hopped in line to check out. I didn't get any of the pastry items, but they looked so good, and I'm sure if I was local, I'd be ordering far too often. When I got to the counter, I asked the young girl to get me some krem oliwkowy from the cosmetics shelf behind the register. I was very excited to see the ziaja product in the small green pot. This cream has a scent that evokes a sense of nostalgia for me, but it is so rich and nourishing and it was a favorite of mine that I haven't had in years. I ordered once on amazon for a ridiculous price that I couldn't justify. So to see it here made my day. I checked out speedily - there is something to say for Polish efficiency, and even got a free Wawel chocolate bar. I would definitely say that the staff here are must more friendly than in the other store I visited. It made for a much more pleasant experience. Currently (April 2025), there is a lot of construction going on on Dundas Street, so I highly recommend using the side street at the light to access the back parking area. It is much easier especially if you need make a left turn out onto Dundas.

We initially saw huge, gorgeous danishes, rolls & bread that had self serve tongs & bags. We got a cherry cheese & a blueberry cheese danish - so big each needed its own brown paper (lunch sized) bag. Super yummy, loaded with sweetened cheese & fruit. Makes me regret not getting the apple one too! Then we walked back to the hot food area. To the left were dozens of sausage links hung up behind a deli case full of slice to order cold cuts. A big menu of smoked meats, ribs, cabbage rolls, etc., was in front of us. Then we saw what I can only compare to my childhood memory of Stouffers french bread pizzas. We got one of each - mushroom & cheese and ham & cheese, warmed up. They warmed them for us - the light crispy french bread & both flavors were delicious! We also got a garlicky spinach feta & a pork crepe. These were hefty! Thin crepes with filling & rolled compactly. Both were so yummy! We also got some self-serve bulk pickles that were fantastic. We would have gotten some bags of frozen blueberry or cherry or meat pierogis too, but we had too far to drive to keep them frozen. Everyone we spoke with here was so friendly. They had tons of delicious looking cheeses, meats, jarred spreads & pickles, and other condiments, as well as Polish candies. This is a GREAT place for groceries, a quick meal, or to prepare a meal at home. Loved it here!!

They carry all of the Middle Eastern household grocery staples: different varieties of pita bread, dates, figs (both dried and fresh), bulgur (different coarseness levels), tahini, hummus, babbaghanoush, labneh, dried fruits and nuts, olives, etc. Product quality for both the produce and dried goods is EXCELLENT. They carry a lot of international products that might not be as easily found in other chain supermarkets. Arz Fine Foods also manufactures, packages, and sells a lot of their own branded products, ranging from chopped and packed produce (e.g. parsley, salads) to pita bread and jams. Their bakery / sweets section offers a variety of different baklavas, freshly made knafeh, Turkish delights, and more. The hot food section allows you to order on the spot and they make it fresh. Menu includes manakeesh, grilled items, and sides (rice, potatoes, mixed vegetables, tabbouleh, etc.). There are a few very small tables if you wish to dine in. In the other section with readily prepared foods, there are mujaddara (rice & lentils with fried onions), arnabeet (charred cauliflower), grilled eggplant, dolma (stuffed grape vine leaves), stuffed cabbage rolls, falafels, mutabal, and more -- a lot of my favourite Middle Eastern vegetarian and vegan food items! There is free parking available right outside in the parameters of the supermarket, but the parking space is tight and always packed. Turnover for parking spots is quite fast though (we never had to wait more than 2 minutes to get a spot). The interior of the supermarket is quite small, crammed, and always busy. But everyone seems to always be courteous enough to make room for each other and let each other pass. The lineup for cashier (using a common line) may seem long at times, but it moves fast. The cashiers work at lightning speed.
