What a charming coffee, tea, and treat shop. Absolutely beautiful interior, even the drip coffee was fantastic, and the pastries were delicious. I saw some people get the afternoon tea and I will certainly be back for that with my family. Staff were friendly and prompt.

Gilmore Girls-esque café in Caledon, just outside of Brampton. Cute vintage touches, even a vignette set-up in the restroom - not sure how hygienic that is, but it was cute nonetheless! Interior is quite small with a handful of small tables and 1 longer table that looked like it was set-up for Afternoon Tea. Not much room as you step-in if there's a line! Counter is literally a few steps from entrance. Americano was decent, not great. GET THE SCONES tho! Seems like the most popular item there and for good reason too! More seating outside, but almost pointless come the cooler weather. P.S. I noticed that there were nothing to dry hands with in the bathroom...except tissues?

We planned on stopping for a coffee/tea on our way to Blue Mountain. I looked online and found this place. By the time we decided we had already passed it. However, the reviews online looks so good that I encourage my husband to backtrack 18 km and I am so glad we did. Everything was perfect. Every little last detail of this charming little place has been excellently curated. The cafe mocha, roobios tea and strawberry banana cake were excellent. The service impeccable.

As expected there was no seating available due to Covid-19. The food quality from the hot table was moderate (hence the 3*'s). Had a salami calzone for lunch. We also bought a blueberry/strawberry scone/biscuit. I deducted a star cause the biscuit was virtually tasteless. Almost zero taste! Found that strange considering the cost was $3.50! I'd do over but just the gelato this time.

We got almond cookies, hazelnut cookies with chocolate, pecan butter tart, strawberry cheesecake, apple strudel. My son thought the strudel was sweet. He likes uncle tetsu cheesecakes which aren't too sweet. The almond cookies had too much vanilla in them. There was an aftertaste that wasn't the best The hazelnut had the same issue. The butter tarts were good. Sweet not overly runny. You could bite them and they didn't drip out but not a firm Filling either. My friend bought the chocolate pecan? Butter tart and it was quite good. The I thought the chocolate added to it. Was worried it would make it too sweet. The Apple strudel was pretty good. I always like pastry no filo please!!!! Anyways kinda reminded me of what you'd buy in a store. I think the filling is the kind that comes from a bucket. So I don't think I'd get again unless I was in a strudel mood. I do have a weakness for strudel. Saturday mornings at st Lawrence market has a better one if she is still there. I definitely need to go back to Try the food!!'

So - I was excited when she went to a friend's birthday party and actually ATE the WHOLE cupcake! It was a Monsters Inc theme and she ate the "Boo" cupcake. Not only was the cupcake adorable and delicious, but inside there was a surprise gummy bear! Needless to say, my daughter's birthday is here and I got the contact info from the friend's mom. We already had the cake booked (part of the package at an indoor playground) but I had gone to the OMG website and saw DISNEY FROZEN OLAF COOKIES! My daughter's birthday theme is, of course, Frozen - PERFECT! Together with a little gift card from Menchies, our birthday guests are getting these adorable Olaf cookies! Valerie and her aunt are the owners. I live in Markham but got to pick up my order in Thornhill, even though Valerie is based in Bolton. Valerie was prompt in answering my many many emails - I was humming and hawing over cookies or cupcakes, but decided on cookies because they travel and keep better. I am very excited to have found Valerie - she is one of these local gems that you won't be able to find on a Google search. Her style is tasteful and everything is delicious! Thanks Valerie - our family has already "sampled" a few cookies and the party is tomorrow. I'm going to have to hide the rest so that we have enough for our guests!

It was this beautiful looking Heatherlea Farm Shoppe. I checked their website and they also have a cafe inside. It was like God didn't wanted me to sad for long and presented this Farm Shoppe. I went in there with mask on. They have proper safety protocols in place. It's a wonderful farm shop that has amazing looking meats, vegetables, fruits, sauces and many more stuff. Very clean and well presented. On the left side they have a cafe and they serve coffee, tea, soup, sandwiches, baked goods and more. I wanted to have soup, but they were sold out. So I got myself a cup of coffee, oatmeal raisin cookie, chocolate chip cookie and brownie. Everything was delicious and perfect. I really loved the coffee and brownie. Brownie was so damn delicious and decadent. They have big parking outside overlooking beautiful lush fields. This place is a gem. Now I know where to stop when I am out for long drive, or I might even just take a drive to specially go here to enjoy everything they offer. I will definitely recommend this beautiful place!!

What brought me to Tin Roof Cafe in Erin was my son's baseball game against the local team. With time to kill and bellies to fill before first pitch, we stopped by Tin Roof Cafe. It looked like the most promising spot in town, and we were fortunate to squeeze in an hour there before their daily 6 p.m. closing time. My son ordered the Tin Roof BLT, and everything about it tasted incredibly fresh. I especially appreciated that they used locally baked bread instead of the typical store-bought variety. (If you're wondering, they also offer a regular BLT--but you won't get the turkey, avocado, or chipotle mayo that make the Tin Roof version so special.) It was a delicious sandwich from start to finish. For myself, I ordered the Nutellaccino. It was surprisingly good. The Nutella added a nutty richness to the coffee without making it crazily sweet. We also ordered a peanut butter brownie to go. Since my son was eating his sandwich first, the staff kindly offered to keep the brownie in the fridge until we were ready to leave. However, since we still had some time to kill and of course a sweet tooth, so we ended up eating the brownie before we left. The brownie was so...good. You could tell it was homemade, and even the peanut butter was homemade. The only disappointment was that I visited during the summer. Otherwise, I definitely would have tried one of their soups, which unfortunately aren't available during the warmer months. I love coffee shops with personality, and Tin Roof Cafe has plenty of it. Its cozy, funky village vibe made our one-hour visit feel warm, welcoming, and memorable. It's exactly the kind of local café that makes a small-town stop worthwhile.

They offer a group tours twice a day, it's best that you book ahead. I took the tour.. the place is quite small I don't know if I necessarily would do the tour again I don't know if it really did that much enhancement to my experience. But the tour does come with three samples and you get a $5 voucher towards the restaurant if you choose to dine at the restaurant They have different options that you can try, cider flights both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I chose alcohol and every single cider that I tried including the ones on the tour I absolutely love, they have a lower sugar content than traditional ciders that you buy at the LCBO which gives them a lighter refreshing feel. For their regular flavors I thought the draught cider was the best. And for the seasonal they had a sangria cider that was absolutely refreshing as well I tried the cambert cheese I believe.. it was that came with their gooseberry jelly oh my goodness that jelly was absolutely delicious and they do sell it in the market. I also tried their pizza and I thought the pizza was absolutely delicious I got the large which is a shareable I also noted that the staff seemed genuinely happy from the servers to the hostess to the tour guide.
