Have always wanted a bubble tea spot near my house since it's my go-to drink when I decide to treat myself, and was super excited to find this cute little spot, less than 5 mins away from my house. Bonus, this time I had a Yelp Elite opportunity to grab a bubble tea on the house to celebrate National Bubble Tea Day . My favourite part is the cute Yelp cup sleeve, I'm Yelp classified, haha. ** Important to note, they currently do not allow for walk-in orders and orders need to be placed ahead of time.** I decided to go with a regular Taro Milk Tea with tapioca pearls as it was 1 among the 4 options made available through this event, and it did not disappoint. The drink was a little too sweet for my preference however, as I forgot to tell them to adjust my sugar level, and also my tapioca were slightly overcooked, but the amount of tapioca was sufficient, so no complains. I've been to this location several times, and the girls there are very kind, and they even cleaned up their table for me to get good pictures of my drink. I would recommend checking out all the drinks (hot and cold) they have available, I've also tried their Matcha Milk Tea (more authentic, and slightly more bitter than other bubble tea locations), Mango Green Tea (just perfect), Mango Milk Tea (too sweet for me), but with all their drinks, I believe there's the option to adjust your sugar level and ice level to suit your taste. Eh, pretty limited experience as I only shared a strawberry milk tea. No real strawberries were harmed in the making of the process as it was strictly made by a powder. Basically tasted like the Nestle Quick strawberry drink. The place was a little smaller than I anticipated, but it's still cute. The milk tea was good & we were able to customize the sweetness & ice levels. The bubble waffle was a good size. It came topped with chocolate sauce & icing sugar (which was a mistake). We weren't put off by the chocolate sauce so we enjoyed it but the staff offered to re-make the bubble waffle with just icing sugar like we ordered. Great customer service. This place overall is pretty good. Amazing customer service, the ladies here were really nice and gave us helpful tips and suggestions. They did warn us about the boba being a bit more.. tough than usual boba and they were right lol. The Hokkaido was a bit too sweet for my liking (I definitely tasted the caramel a lot) and my cousin got the Mango. I liked the mango better but next time I'm here I'd definitely like to try a matcha combo (matcha/chocolate, matcha/strawberry, etc...) 3.5 stars... Cute spot and it looks instagram ready even with the neon saying on the wall. I would say the tastes are not quite as good as some other spots but with so little competition, it might be your only spot. On the Northern edge of Brampton, Bean & Pearl is in a smaller new strip mall tucked in surburbia. Getting in and out of the plaza isn't so bad, navigating the parking lot when it's busy is a little insane. Bean and Pearl has the nice white modern Instagram aesthetic. There are a few tables available so you can enjoy your cup. Service here is painfully slow. Even though there were 3 people behind the counter, every movement seemed confused or frantic & messy. Even with he micro rushing ... waiting to get to the front is at least 10 minutes. Also it took them another 15 minutes to make a mocha (the girl was confused on what to use and then wasn't sure if it needed espresso) and a regular classic tea. It was during the day when I went so it wasn't busy. I can't imagine how it would be when it is evening and super busy. Classic milk tea - I asked for half sweet and it was the right level but unfortunately I felt the tea flavour was very weak. It just tasted of lightly sweet milk with a touch of tea. The bubble tea colour was also really light. Compared to other spots, the classic was watery. Boba was soft but clumping up a lot. It left a lot of boba at the bottom of the cup because of that. 2/5 Taro milk tea - at regular sweetness, this was super sweet. Taro flavour was mild but you can at least taste it. Similar to the Classic, boba was soft but clumped up. It would probably be better to use half sweet next time. 3.5/5 Mango strawberry slushie - this one was pretty to look at with its vibrant red syrup mixed in with the mango slush. To say this is sweet is an understatement... it felt like an Icee slurpie. Though it did taste like strawberries and mango, it did veer a lot more to the artificial. 3.5/5 If the service was better, I'd be willing to come back but just waiting that long makes me think the drive to Chatime or Coco is a better idea. read more

I saw the raving reviews about Bean & Pearl so I decided to check it out. I like the simplicity of the bubble tea place. The decor and vibe is definitely my taste. There is a good variety of drinks, some food items and some seasonal recommendations. As usual, I asked the staff for recommendations and she suggested the tiramisu, hokkaido milk tea, taro and cookies and cream. I really wanted to try the tiramisu as Yelpers have also mentioned it but since it had that cheese foam, I chose something else. The barista recommended the hokkaido since it was her personal favourite so I gave it a try with tapioca. I always go with no sugar since the topping usually is cooked in some kind of sugar water. I also asked for soy milk instead as they had an option for various milk alternatives. Being super excited to try this place out, I had high hopes of the drink and to be honest, it was just OK. I have had better hokkaido. It was not as creamy as I would have imagined may be because I substituted it with soy milk but soy usually makes any drink even more creamy. The tapioca was not cooked consistently and some were more chewier than others. It is definitely not in the way for me and personally my drink did not wow me. They have a good variety though and a good seating space so it is a decent addition to the Brampton area. read more

Alright bbt in Brampton. Love the interior of the place though. There's a few drinks to choose from and I asked what was their top drinks. Employee listed a few but I ended picking the Hokkaido milk tea with tapioca. I should have asked for half sweet because this one was sooo sweet. Was a bit hard to drink and the boba balls were hard. My cousins got a matcha red bean and a strawberry smoothie. It was a hit and miss with the boba balls for me. I only came cause my cousins mentioned it before and it's the only bbt joint near them in Brampton LOL. Went to this new shop today. Really enjoyed it! Kind, friendly staff, great products, adorable decor. They are only just opened this week, so there are a few kinks to work out, but overall I think I will be back if I am in the area. I encourage Brampton friends to check it out. In more detail: tried the cookies and cream shake with tapioca pearls and it was SOO good. It's a big dessert, but not overly sugary. It works well. I also tried cupcakes that were very much homemade and I enjoyed that, too. The frosting on red velvet was buttercream and not cream cheese, but that's not a huge deal since it was all so good. I tried the classic milk tea with boba and the flavour was just right. Refreshing, not too sweet. The espresso was also well made and I enjoyed the Americano along with everything else I sampled. They opened in September of 2017 and get their coffee from Hale Coffee in the Junction area of Toronto. The staff was super nice and answered all our questions. They also asked how we liked our drinks since they wanted to make sure they got it right. They offer drip coffee, cappuccinos, lattes, boba teas, desserts, sandwiches and more. However, i find their drip coffee average at best. I only have cappuccinos and cake when visiting. Lately they have been having events in the evenings like painting which limits the seating and takes away from the relaxing atmosphere. I would have preferred to have a smaller size option in the featured flavours. Th large was huge and I would never normally order a drink that big. I finished it of course lol but like it took over an hour. It had good flavour to it but I felt that there could've been more?? The drink wasn't too sweet, so that was good. I also ordered a cheesecake. They don't have them on display, so you need to ask. When he said there was a lavender lemon cheesecake I was sold. I love lavender lemon anything. It was 4.95 which is pretty hefty considering the size. I think 3.95 would maybe make it more attractive. Anyways, it was delicious. So thank god. I could've eaten a whole other one in one sitting. Came here for my daughter and friend.. Her friend had her favorite bubble tea the taro coconut which is pretty tasty.. My daughter had the cookies and cream blended iced and she liked it but was a bit too chocolaty for her taste but not as sweet as you may have thought.. For me I had the espresso which is what I'm used to and like and that was very disappointing.. Very bitter and weird tasting and only had sugar cubes without any means of taking them out except by hand.. It's a far drive from my area in Mississauga, but at least it's something different. The atmosphere is very LA like, with the nice aesthetic. Prices are normal, considering how small the place. They have coffee as well as tea, but you need to ask which teas they have. They display nice latte art from what I've been observing and have pretty decent coffee. They're also pretty new, so I'm pretty sure their still exploring which food items will appeal to customers. The Hokkaido milk tea is BOMB - my friend ordered it with lychee and boba. I like it half sweet, but he ordered it normal, but was pretty good. I got the cookies and cream, which is great half sweet. I love this place. Despite this place being in Brampton I love this place. I mean like if they were to open a spot downtown that would be totally amazing. The place is clean, cute and spacious. Decor was simple and tasteful. The baristas are amazing. I forgot the name of my barista but she's the best. I came in Saturday night with my boyfriends family and she and her partner served us well. On top of my tiramisu drink was a caramel heart with sprinkles of crumble!!!! The cutest thing ever like my drink was gonna be sealed with plastic but damn she made it super cute. I felt special. Anyways the drinks. We ordered under the features drinks menu. Matcha red bean and tiramisu both blended and with tapioca. I loved the different layers of the matcha red bed. The consistency was really good and the flavour wasn't over powering each other or overly sweet. I can taste each flavour. After a while it got a bit bitter but I didn't mind still tasted good. The tiramisu will now be my go to when I'm in the area. It's so yummy I couldn't stop drinking it. Perfect combo of chocolate and coffee with that caramel heart and sprinkles of crumble. Went to the Brampton location. Worst service ever. There were two employees and they did not have any idea how to manage their customer or order. We waited about 15 mins for our drink to be made. They ran out of ice so, one of the coworker had to go get some at the nearby convenient store. Meanwhile the other coworker was standing there. Instead of making the drink orders she stood there. We ordered lychee green tea with grass jelly, honeydew cheese foam and mango milk tea with mango jelly. Lychee green tea was a bit sweeter especially asking for 50%sugar. The cheese foam honey dew was surprisingly refreshing. I wanted to order panna cotta as a topping but when they open the lid to serve it to another customer, it was runny and wasn't refrigerated properly. Will not come here again. I've been here about three times. These are the drinks that I've tried: mango milk tea, iced mocha, and the mango strawberry blended featured drink. The first two drinks were great. However, the mango strawberry blended drink was awful. It was excessively sweet and there was no fruit in the drink, all artificial flavour. On top of that, the "strawberry" was actually jelly (although the lady working there did tell me there was jelly in the drink) and it was not a treat.
