Great little cafe, serving a wide variety of beverages and baked goods! Prices are very decent as well! Very Instagram worthy! Definitely will be back to try more of their beverages if I'm in town!

Cup was almost my face size

Their zucchini and chocolate bread is always the first choice and their lattes too The location is in a beautiful town

Small lavender latte being enjoyed at a near by hiking trail.

The Tin Roof Cafe is a small community-focused coffee shop that serves up drinks, baked goods (made daily in house) and hot sandwich/soup options. Alternative milks and gluten free choices are also available so they really have something for everyone. The lavender latte I ordered offered delicious flavours of a surprisingly creamy latte with subtle floral after notes. Originally, I was worried about what flavour profile I'd just ventured into, but the lavender taste was in complete harmony with the warm milk and espresso. It reminded me why floral beverages are not only a thing, but enjoyable to drink. As far as food, it's not an exaggeration to say that their cookies are the size of your head (keep in mind they are more of a crunchy than chewy style) and my friend wouldn't stop raving about the avocado pesto grilled cheese. With the beautiful hiking trails near by and free parking available, the Tin Roof Cafe is an excellent local business to stop by and support while you explore the wildness of Ontario.

Great coffee and breakfast at this cozy cafe. We had lattes, breakfast, and cookies for two for about $30. Great use of space, second floor is perfect for eat-in guests while main floor is comfortable and spacious of take-out. Very instagrammable. In-house baked goods. Also a great selection of locally-sourced good including coffee from Las Chicas Del Cafe from St. Thomas and Goodfellow's from Rockwood.

A quaint, two-storey cozy cafe in Erin with delicious food and drinks. In the summertime, the back patio would be a nice place to relax. Pick your poison: drip coffee, espresso, lattes or teas. I love the variety of lattes, seasonal specials and food/snacks they have to offer. I had the turkey brie cranberry sandwich, tomato soup, chocolate zucchini loaf and a nutella latte. Would definitely comeback to try other things in the menu Great place to study or chat. Free WiFi included. Prices are fair and there's alternative milk options (coconut, soy and House-made nut milk). Staff are super friendly. Worth the drive to visit this little gem of Erin!

Located on a prominent corner in Erin Ontario with a private parking lot. Keep in mind that places like these are very busy in the summer. It is a converted house with 2 floors of seating. They serve lattes, drip coffee, sweets made in house, and more. The nice thing about the drip coffee is that they have mild and dark. When we visited the first time they had plenty of staff and the coffee was decent. Note free wifi and that they serve breakfast and lunch.

Incredibly friendly staff! The avocado pesto panini and Tin Roof breakfast sandwich were soo delicious!! They have delicious gluten and dairy free options. Also they allow pets to the patio and have a water bowl for them :)

We happen to be driving through Erin, on our way to get some fresh bread from Holtom Bakery, when all three of us felt a bit famished. So we decided to try the little Tin Roof Cafe. The place is cosy and trendy. There is a huge assortment of coffees, then have a full service cappuccino machine, and serve up a variety of posh sandwiches and deserts. So my honey and I opted for the rustic chicken club, and my little Bou got the artisanal grilled cheese. We shared a bowl of sweet potato bisque. Everything was fresh and tasty. Well done Tin Roof Cafe. I finished off with a large Cafe Au Lait. Double thumbs up from all the gang.

Love this place. It's a cute little cafe in Erin Ontario. Makes great coffee. I got a chai latte with their home made but milk, it was amazing!!!! Every time we pass Erin we try to stop into the cafe if possible.

Cozy little cafe in a well renovated former house. Fits in nicely in the village of Erin, Ontario.

The only place in town to get a real coffee. Always a good product. On the expensive side, but worth it.

The Boathouse - high tea spread for two on the patio

Great location and customer service…read more Scones: Decent. A little sweet (which I like), served with whipped cream and strawberry jam. Fruit: The fruit was the best part of all our meals here. It was so fresh and sweet, which I thought would be difficult to find outside of California! I also enjoyed it with cottage cheese, which is not so common at breakfast spots in California unfortunately. Tea: The tea is enjoyable but pretty average when compared to bougier tea spots like The Bruce in Stratford. It's not clear how long I should let it steep for for optimal flavor. I preferred the Winter Dream green tea, which was warm and cozy, slightly sweet. I also preferred the McCrae over the Boathouse blend. The Boathouse blend was a little basic for me, and the McCrae had a slight sweetness that I enjoyed. High Tea: Average - a good price and pleasant experience, especially if the weather is nice enough to eat outside (and catch a bald eagle flying by!). My favorite dessert was the carrot cake cupcake. Ice Cream: Yes, ice cream and tea is definitely a good idea! The banana cream pie tastes like your classic Runts banana flavor (the original banana that got wiped out) and the black cherry has plenty of big cherry pieces. Great servings, and we loved that they served them in reusable bowls instead of disposable ones. Would definitely come again!

A very charming space overlooking the water. The Boathouse is located on 116 Gordon St in Guelph…read more There is parking available right along the paved walkway (angle parking only). If you follow the route, it leads to another bigger parking lot. Parking is free! Reservations are highly recommended. My guest and I made a reservation for two for 1:30pm. It was very busy when we walked in. We got a table right by the door. There were artwork and paintings hung all around the cafe - it was cute. I ordered an afternoon tea set, as well as an extra breakfast burrito for my guest and I to share. There is a tea menu to look at all the various options they have. It was nice to see that they had many options to choose. Our set came with mini sandwiches, scones and dessert and fruits. I would definitely come back to visit - it would be nice to come in the summer and book a table out on their patio.

June 22/2025: Been to this restaurant a couple of times before but I thought I'd update the review…read more This place has improved quite a bit. My food was excellent. Had the Chicken Souvlaki Dinner. Came with a side Greek salad (which was huge, large enough for two), meal came with a full chicken skewer, roasted potatoes & rice. The food was delicious, moist potatoes, tender chicken & was nice & hot with a side of tzatziki. Very tasty. Didn't think I'd eat the whole meal but I did! This is a real family restaurant with a casual ambiance & a fair amount of seating. The service was very fast & our server was very friendly. This is definitely a do-over!

Johns restaurant used to be a great place to go for breakfast and dinner. Now it is not. I have not…read morereturned in over a few years because they do not have a menu for older customers - seniors, and their food portions are huge but that doesn't mean quality. I find most of the waitress staff over the past few years to be very snippy and it feels like the customer has to cater to their needs other than the opposite. The manager Vicky is only there to take your offer and money and never returns to ask how your meal is or just to ask if you need anything else. She turns on the charm when it is time for the tip. We have had a few incidents with Vicky that I don't want to go into. This can really turn a customer off from going for a nice breakfast or night out. Unfortunately the amount of family restaurants that are not Indian or cultural in Brampton are few and far between. If Johns read these reviews and sorted things out they could be packed for breakfasts and dinner like they used to be in the past.
