What would bring you to Erin, Ontario? Maybe a visit to the Cheltenham Badlands? Well, that's technically in Caledon, so I'm not sure it counts--but it's close enough. What brought me to Tin Roof Cafe in Erin was my son's baseball game against the local team. With time to kill and bellies to fill before first pitch, we stopped by Tin Roof Cafe. It looked like the most promising spot in town, and we were fortunate to squeeze in an hour there before their daily 6 p.m. closing time. My son ordered the Tin Roof BLT, and everything about it tasted incredibly fresh. I especially appreciated that they used locally baked bread instead of the typical store-bought variety. (If you're wondering, they also offer a regular BLT--but you won't get the turkey, avocado, or chipotle mayo that make the Tin Roof version so special.) It was a delicious sandwich from start to finish. For myself, I ordered the Nutellaccino. It was surprisingly good. The Nutella added a nutty richness to the coffee without making it crazily sweet. We also ordered a peanut butter brownie to go. Since my son was eating his sandwich first, the staff kindly offered to keep the brownie in the fridge until we were ready to leave. However, since we still had some time to kill and of course a sweet tooth, so we ended up eating the brownie before we left. The brownie was so...good. You could tell it was homemade, and even the peanut butter was homemade. The only disappointment was that I visited during the summer. Otherwise, I definitely would have tried one of their soups, which unfortunately aren't available during the warmer months. I love coffee shops with personality, and Tin Roof Cafe has plenty of it. Its cozy, funky village vibe made our one-hour visit feel warm, welcoming, and memorable. It's exactly the kind of local café that makes a small-town stop worthwhile. read more

The food was pretty good. We were recommended by a family member to come here. They said ignore the prices just eat the dessert. And I have to say I agree. I personally had the carrot cake and it was moist and flavourful. Just delicious! The coffee was pretty good too. They didn't have very many options but we also came late in the day so that's probably why. I can see this being a popular spot to come study or work.even the staff are nice and welcoming. It very cozy and warm feeling. I also love the turquoise cup and I feel like the branding is very good. So while it is sort of expensive it still is delicious. read more

It almost feels you are walking in a garage but the inside is quite nice. There is some outside space as well as a loft type space for you to chill. Had a Salted Caramel Latte with store made almond oat mylk (yes, store made!, we were wow). Made amazing and tasted good. The espresso shot a bit weaker for our taste, so. next time we will have to add an extra shot of espresso. Chai Latter with a ginger shot and again made with store made almond oat mylk. Good taste, would definitely have this again with a slightly more ginger flavour. We had a vegan chocolate chip - and that was the best cookie we have had in a long time. The sweetness, the crunch, the chunks and nuts - OMG to die for. A more advantage - a short trail steps away - to burn away some of indulgence! read more

This is an interesting cafe in the small town of Erin. Everyone is super nice, and giving us the service we all love. Also, the food is scrumptious! I would recommend the Brekkies wrap which is a healthy spinach wrap filled with lox and egg which makes my salivating glands water. A very underrated spot in Erin which I highly recommend. read more

The Tin Roof Cafe is a small community-focused coffee shop that serves up drinks, baked goods (made daily in house) and hot sandwich/soup options. Alternative milks and gluten free choices are also available so they really have something for everyone. The lavender latte I ordered offered delicious flavours of a surprisingly creamy latte with subtle floral after notes. Originally, I was worried about what flavour profile I'd just ventured into, but the lavender taste was in complete harmony with the warm milk and espresso. It reminded me why floral beverages are not only a thing, but enjoyable to drink. As far as food, it's not an exaggeration to say that their cookies are the size of your head (keep in mind they are more of a crunchy than chewy style) and my friend wouldn't stop raving about the avocado pesto grilled cheese. With the beautiful hiking trails near by and free parking available, the Tin Roof Cafe is an excellent local business to stop by and support while you explore the wildness of Ontario. read more

Located on a prominent corner in Erin Ontario with a private parking lot. Keep in mind that places like these are very busy in the summer. It is a converted house with 2 floors of seating. They serve lattes, drip coffee, sweets made in house, and more. The nice thing about the drip coffee is that they have mild and dark. When we visited the first time they had plenty of staff and the coffee was decent. Note free wifi and that they serve breakfast and lunch. read more

The only place in town to get a real coffee. Always a good product. On the expensive side, but worth it.

We happen to be driving through Erin, on our way to get some fresh bread from Holtom Bakery, when all three of us felt a bit famished. So we decided to try the little Tin Roof Cafe. The place is cosy and trendy. There is a huge assortment of coffees, then have a full service cappuccino machine, and serve up a variety of posh sandwiches and deserts. So my honey and I opted for the rustic chicken club, and my little Bou got the artisanal grilled cheese. We shared a bowl of sweet potato bisque. Everything was fresh and tasty. Well done Tin Roof Cafe. I finished off with a large Cafe Au Lait. Double thumbs up from all the gang. read more

Great place! 2 levels with around 20 tables, cozy place with a gas fireplace upstairs. Prices are fair, for 2 desserts (1 gluten free) and 2 coffees the total was $9.40! Good for under $10. Nice espresso machine for cappuccino and espresso. Enough parking outside and convenient location at the end of main St in Erin almost at the corner of Main and Hwy 24. read more

First time visit today. It's a cozy, nicely renovated, two level cafe serving well constructed specialty coffees. Be sure to try the caramel, peacan butter tarts! We didn't get a chance to explore the breakfast and lunch menus, but will definitely be back to try those. read more

This place is a litrle spice of heaven... all pasteies are made fresh onsite! My favourite is the chocolate zucchini loaf with rich chocolatey flavor and not too sweet. I went to the Tin Roof Cafe for the first time today. I was meeting a friend for lunch and she suggested the Tin Roof Cafe. It has a great atmosphere and trendy but warm decor. The service was excellent. I had the Apple Cheddar Grilled Cheese (delish with fig jam and bacon on it), as well as a coffee and then a mochaccino to go. The prices are reasonable and both the food and coffee are excellent. I can't wait to go back. read more
