Recommending this place to anybody who likes oysters and lobster rolls. We had identified the restaurant prior to arrival in the town and we were lucky enough to have it be only a two minute walk from our Airbnb. We wanted for nothing, as the service was very good. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, made suggestions, and willing to go the extra mile for us as we kept re-ordering additional food. They had many different specific oysters to choose from and they grilled them or served them raw, depending on what you preferred. As it turns out between the four of us eating, we had it both ways and they both were special. It was a beautiful evening and so our group of four decided to eat on the table right on the street. We enjoyed the ambience very much. So, if you're like me, and you're a little bit skeptical of the quality of the seafood being served in Murphy's California, there is nothing to worry about right here. Everything looked and tasted great, the service was great. They didn't rush us and we drank a bottle of California sparkling wine from Schramsberg, and so for a couple of hours last night, everything was right in the world.

We ordered the Philly cheesesteak and the cheeseburger. The meals were delicious and yummy. The spot was a little cold but after a while the staff turned the heater on. Even though it was late on a Tuesday the patio was still busy. We got a nice table outside because it was a beautiful day and we had our GSD with us. Shared the beet salad and the chicken burrito and also a kids hamburger with fries for the pup ( fries were for us). PROTIP: We took the option to split each dish by the kitchen and although it cost a couple bucks more, you get a little more of everything! Beet salad was solid with perfect allocations of all ingredients. I would say it was a bit heavy on the dressing but I like minimal dressing and my partner said it was perfect so there you go. The burrito was "wet" and delicious! Lots of flavor fresh ingredients and very saucy. Only thing it lacked was a little heat. Ask for tapatio if you like a little spice. The hamburger by the way, was larger than a normal hamburger you get on the kiddie menu. And the fries were piping hot and fresh. Our dog loved the burger as he should and we downed all the fries. I didn't get photos of the burgers when they came, because our table was pretty hungry after the long wait! The presentation of the food was ok but the food itself was pretty delicious. The fries were very flavorful and the burgers were cooked a perfect medium rare. We also got a butter pecan sundae that was very large, but good. If the food and that one waiter had not been so good, I would probably take more stars. If you are going to come here, I recommend having a lot of time and patience. 5 stars for the food, 2 stars for the service. Knowing this, I would be tentative to come back if we got the same experience in terms of service.

We tried the tofu spring rolls to start, and for our entrees we had the Tofu Pho and Szechuan Vegetables. The spring roles were tasty and came with a delicious peanut sauce. The entrees came out piping hot, and they gave us the standard add ons for Pho and had sriracha, hoisin, soy sauce and chili oil to add as well. The Szechuan vegetables had a good portion and came with white rice. Lots of broccoli, snow peas, zucchini and onions. The staff is very friendly and also funny, definitely one of the things we like about coming here. A great option in Murphys and we'd happily come back in the future.

Some things to note, highly encourage reservation ahead of time. We got there an hour before closing on a Sunday and even though there was a table open they almost didn't seat us. It is small on the inside with limited tables so I would not say it's great for groups. They stop serving about 30 minutes before the posted closing time and don't make exceptions. We ended up ordering a Jenni role which had tofu/cream cheese/cucumber inside and avocado/panko/doke sauce outside and it was seriously amazing. Although there were only two veggie roll options on the menu I could easily eat two of this roll alone. Things only got better with the curry. I assumed the curry was going to be Japanese style, but they are actually more thai style yellow and panang curry options. Unfortunately the Udon and Ramen dishes are not vegetarian as they are made with fish broth. But the yellow curry was perhaps the best yellow curry we've ever had (and we are a bit of curry snobs). The sauce was lighter than a traditional thai yellow curry and it had a delicious sweet finish. The veggies were tasty and fresh. Great assortment of fish and the sauce splatter is gorgeous. Poseidon roll: our favorite! This roll was really tasty and all the elements worked well together. Negihama - generous cuts but maybe it's out of season as it was a little lacking. Service was attentive and prompt and the food came out quickly. The food was surprisingly good for being the only sushi place in town so overall I'm happy it exists. I'll definitely try to stop by again!!

I think they forgot. We also had to ask for crackers. The soup was thick with lots of clams. The pan roast was decent. It was thick and creamy with bits of crab, tons of shrimp, lobster, seafood. It came with a side of rice. The oysters were good. Forgot to ask where from. We had some Bloody Mary oyster shooters and a glass of MIO sparkling sake. That was refreshing, sweet just like moscato. You start out with two rolls of bread and can always ask for more which we did to dip with the chowder and pan roast.
