A very good restaurant with authentic Mexican flavor, just like being in Mexico. Because of my work I travel a lot and eat at different restaurants, and this is one that I wholeheartedly recommend to those who want to try the authentic taste of Mexico. I recommend the carne asada; well, that's what I ate.

Had to try this place for dinner again, the food was good as it was last time we dined here! I love the enchiladas with the mole sauce. The food is definitely home made real Mexican food. The drinks are great. The service is always great and the place is nice and clean.

We absolutely love Angels. We come to Angels camp a few times a year and we always stop to eat at Angels or take it to go. Burritos, tacos, quesadillas are all fresh and flavorful. Thanks for the great food.

Very clean little spot. took a minute for server to come out & greet us. She was nice. Chips and salsa ok. Relleno was homemade but bland. My veggie burrito was also bland. And.. I felt queasy after a few hours until next morning:( I don't think we would come back.. unfortunately.

I enjoyed the Chile relleno with a margarita and the service was excellent. The salsa was fresh and spicy

Every day should be taco day! When friends say, let's go have a fun extended weekend away, it's my moral imperative to pack an overnight bag and just do it! Our first stop, was an angel's Mexican kitchen. The restaurant had a funky odor to it that did not smell like food, but that did not distract us from ordering and enjoying our meals. Chips, salsa, and ice water were immediately brought to the table for us to enjoy while we perused the menu. We all ordered some variation of different taco dishes. I ordered Gonzo's tacos with no produce. The tacos were filled with a generous amount of beef and chorizo, and the key to making this extra delicious, was the generous amount of cheese that was at both the bottom portion of the tacos, as well as on top of the meat. Perfection in every bite. The meat was perfectly seasoned, and the taco shells were lightly crisp. So, so delicious! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and checked on us a number of times to make sure that we were enjoying our meal, and to ask if we needed anything. This is definitely a great place to stop when you're in Angels Camp, and are Jonesing for a good taco or two!

This doesn't usually happen, but we both ordered shrimp dishes. They were fresh and delicious. Even as busy as they were, we didn't wait a long time for food. It's always clean and authentic.

I stopped because I was craving Mexican food. It is a little spot off the main highway and figured I would try it out because of the reviews. The food was just OK. The food I enjoyed the most was the rice, salsa, and cheese inside the chili Relleno. The beans tasted as they've been refried a little too long. The Chile Relleno tasted like flour and the enchilada sauce tasted bland. Once we got our food, we had to wait another five minutes when she became available because she had forgot to give us silverware. I had my five-year-old son with me, who typically eats off my plate, so I requested an extra plate. If she would've mentioned there was an extra two dollar charge, I would have just had him eat the rice from my plate or would've bought him his own rice plate.

This place is really good. I felt like i ate good Mexican food after so long. I give them 5 stars for their food and service. We tried veggie enchilada and wet burrito. I chose less cheese on my enchilada with both green and red sauceand it turned out perfect as I wanted. The wet burrito was little on heavy side no doubt, as expected. On my way to Arnold, I think it's a perfect spot for Mexican food.

Always love this family-owned Mexican restaurant in Angels Camp. There aren't many go-to spots in that city but this is one of them!

Food is amazing. Their red sauce is the best (steak ranchero). They are also very friendly and the prices are reasonable!

Parking is easy and if you need gas, there's a shell literally right there. The menu is extensive. There were so many options that we did not know what to choose. Nonetheless, we wanted to try them all, but wish we had more people. We ordered: -Nachos (big portion and the chips were great) -Fish taco (nice and crispy) -Lengua burrito -Lengua chimichanga (so crispy, was one of our favs) -Lengua and al pastor crispy tacos (love the shell they used here) -Birria tacos (good, but not up there for us) Everything we tried was great. Loved that they had a chips and huge salsa/sauce bar. 10/10 would recommend. They have outdoor seating, which was perfect since we had dogs. They do not serve any alcohol, only have aqua frescas or horchata. However, there was a sign that said no alcohol behind this point (the street), so we bought some at the gas station and drank it in the patio.

We ordered from a very nice lady and the food came out within 10 minutes. The tortillas were fresh and you can tell they make the ingredients fresh. My quesadilla was huge and they did not skimp on the carne asada, which I greatly appreciated. The floutas were crisp and packed full of chicken and cheese. The enchiladas were devoured by my 15 year old. She said they were the best she's had. A great little place to grab some quality Mexican food for a decent price.
