This is one heck of a great spot in downtown Murphys, CA. On your way up from the Bay Area stopping in Murphys is fantastic. An entire downtown of shops and food. We have eaten at every Mexican food spot except Pablito's until today. He has all the standards one would want including a great Quesa Birria. Great flavor consume to dip into. The carnitas burrito was great and the rice nice and soft and dense how I like it. Fast service and so many options. This will be my new go to when downtown. Now the surprise was the green sauce. This is not your typical liquid green sauce. This is an avocado jalapeño cream type sauce that was amazing. The food was amazing. Five stars for sure! The kid and I got smash burgers and added avocado. They were BOMB!! We also got fries with our meal. Next time we will share one. This is a huge burger. The only thing I didn't care for was we were asked if we wanted to add fries, which we did. Only to find out afterwards that it added $6.00 to the meal. No where on the menu did it show that. I just felt that should have been more transparent. Hubby got Al pastor taco plate and he was such a happy camper! We will definitely be back. read more

It's official, no trip up to Angels Camp is complete without a stop at Pablitos on Main St in Murphy's. First time we came was 3 months ago, and we knew we had to go again. This time we got their smash burger and 2 super burritos, the total came out to $31. The smash burger is greasy goodness and packed full of flavor. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. It's more regular burger, than smash because of the thickness of the patty but I'm not complaining. This is the best burger I've had in the Town and it's only $8. 10/10 recommend trying this. The burritos were both hella good too. The orange salsa is SPICY and I can't get enough of it. We had to ask for extras and we used every drop. Hard to find salsa that good. I preferred the Chile verde over the steak but both were good. We ate them cold on the golf course, and they were still hella good. They grill the tortilla which makes it even better. My biggest tip would be to call your order ahead. There's one chef cooking, and it can take awhile to complete orders. We ordered in-person and waited nearly 30 minutes, but it was well worth the wait. Save time and call ahead Is this the best meal I've had on Main St? HELL YEAH. It's not even close IMO. Definitely the most consistent authentic Mexican food and taco truck in the region. The pastor is OUTSTANDING. Bring CASH to keep them happy! On occasion the quality can be off and the order can be slightly wrong, but worth the negatives. The gal was super nice that's why I gave at least 3 stars. I ordered tacos and they were greasy with not much flavor. My friend ordered cheese quesadilla and she said there was not much cheese ‍ Also would love to have a cold beer with tacos no alcohol here. It took 30 minutes for 2 tacos and a cheese quesadilla and there was only 1 other gal in front of us. This really is a good place to eat at a reasonable price in downtown Murphys. Be prepared to sit outside at a picnic table or take food home or to the nearby park. The burritos, even the regular, are large and packed full of good stuff. I like the chile verde version, or the birria (sp?). Absolutely delicious. We asked for vegetarian options and they confirmed the rice and beans are veggie, so we ordered a vegetarian burrito and their tomato soup with grilled cheese. I had half a chile relleno burrito, and paused eating to write this review. Coming from Bay Area, tacos and burrito have a high bar. This place is on par with any of the places in SF! Good food, but I don't get all of the great (4- and especially 5-star) reviews. Here's why: 1) This is a food truck in an empty lot between two other businesses, meaning picnic tables, and no chips and salsa, and only canned and bottled drinks. 2) They were not too busy, so it took too long for our two taco "maels" (meals, but they spelled it "maels" on the grease board menu). 3) The meals came in a Styrofoam to-go container, and the tacos were great (double-shelled and generous on the good meat), but the amount of rice and beans didn't justify the difference between three $3.50 tacos a la carte ($10.50) and the price of the meal (combo), which was $14, I believe. Bottom line: charge less and I'll have no complaints, or I'll pay these amounts in a restaurant with chips and salsa and ice water included. You'd never get this little rice and beans on a plate in a restaurant, and the rice and beans were just OK, actually. read more

Got a chicken quesadilla and a steak burrito, and both were pretty lackluster. The chicken tasted a bit weird, and the steak was flavorless.
