Los Pinos - easy to spot off Hwy 4.

What a great find! Riding our motorcycles over Ebbetts Pass and stopped for lunch at their food truck. My burrito bowl was excellent and partners wet burrito was a big win. There are shaded benches and plenty of parking.

Possibly the best birria I have ever eaten. Hubby had a super wet carnitas burrito with green sauce. It was so tender and flavorful. The guacamole was excellent. We will definitely be returning.

Craving Mexican for dinner so we ordered takeout! From calling to arrival, our food was ready and prepared within 15 minutes. There's definitely a lot of indoor seating options available, although on a Saturday night most tables were empty. The lady who helped us was so kind and helpful, she gave us so many salsa options to try. We ordered shrimp and veggie burritos, each one came with salsa and chips on the side. The shrimp burrito didn't skimp on the shrimp, always a plus! I loved the taco salad, the crispy shell was delicious and didn't seem too heavy with oil. Portion size was great too. This place exceeded my expectations.

We have eaten here a couple times, and really enjoyed it. They have excellent guacamole, and our meals are always good. Service is friendly and quick. There is several beers to choose from but I was a bit disappointed that the Sangria is not house-made, but that won't stop me from stopping in for dinner from time to time!

GREAT TACOS! Swung by on a snowy afternoon, they happened to be inside the building instead of in the truck, but I don't blame them, it was cold! The tacos were excellent! Fish tacos and pastor.

My family and I were driving to the Big Trees State Park and we stopped at Taqueria Los Piños for lunch. The food was fantastic - flavorful and fresh! Our server was super sweet and attentive. Highly highly recommend!!!

Great spot for a sit down meal in an area that lacks good ones. Great service. Authentic Mexican in the foothills.

The salsa needs more cilantro and chilies. Food wasn't hot. Service was great. Ambiance was fine. Sauces could use some improvement.

Excellent salsa bar and love all of the menu items that are not just your typical taco truck options. We were recommended to try the surf & turf burrito or quesa birria. Burrito was out of this world and will be going back for the birria. Thank you for being open all the time and serving breakfast all day. Service was excellent.

Parking is easy and if you need gas, there's a shell literally right there. The menu is extensive. There were so many options that we did not know what to choose. Nonetheless, we wanted to try them all, but wish we had more people. We ordered: -Nachos (big portion and the chips were great) -Fish taco (nice and crispy) -Lengua burrito -Lengua chimichanga (so crispy, was one of our favs) -Lengua and al pastor crispy tacos (love the shell they used here) -Birria tacos (good, but not up there for us) Everything we tried was great. Loved that they had a chips and huge salsa/sauce bar. 10/10 would recommend. They have outdoor seating, which was perfect since we had dogs. They do not serve any alcohol, only have aqua frescas or horchata. However, there was a sign that said no alcohol behind this point (the street), so we bought some at the gas station and drank it in the patio.

Walking in the place had a great vibe with some upbeat Latin hits playing on Pandora. The chips and salsa were ok, nothing special but decent. However to meal was very good as was the service. We ordered a tamale, enchilada, burrito and chile relleno to try the various flavors. The Chile Relleno was tasty. Huge poblano pepper, nice red sauce and the breading was a light spongy texture that has the right amount of thickness without being overly breaded. The tamale and enchilada, both chicken with verde sauce was excellent. The tamale was very moist unlike many that are dry. The tamale held together when cut rather than falling apart but that is just a personal preference as to how you like your tamale. The burrito was very large and extremely tasty as we ordered the super burrito. One of the tastier burritos I had in the area. The highlight was the flan. That was how you say "fire" or as I say SCINTILLATING! Nice thick custard consistency, not gritty and a perfect caramel color and sauce. I could eat this all night with coffee. All in all I can see why Angels got Best of the Best awards many years in a row. I'll be back for the fajitas and a few other tasty sounding dishes. 4.5 stars

Believe me when I say, I had THE BEST Quesabirria tacos I've had in years. Not only is their food amazing, and they have beer on tap, but this place is also family owned. Jessica and Arianna provided fantastic service, very personable and cool to talk to. They were attentive to my table making sure I had everything I needed when I needed it. They are very appreciative for feedback, which I gave them a lot of great feedback on everything about this restaurant. The restaurant is clean, very well kept and feels luxurious and comfortable. I will be definitely coming back every single time I'm near Angels Camp, I'd go at least an hour out of my way to have their food and see these amazing people again. Thank you to Jessica, Arianna and their family for the excellent quesabirria and the perfect experience! Forgot to add... their homemade salsa is INCREDIBLE!!! so good I bought extra to take back to my hotel.

There were wait and kitchen staff being trained the night we dined it so our food took longer than usual, but no big deal. Growing pains of a small business so some patience goes a long way. Anyway, we had complimentary chips and salad and iced waters brought to our table shortly after being seated. For our entrees, we chose the Chicken Enchiladas and Steak Fajitas which came with a side of rice and tortillas. Dinner was filling and not too bad in taste considering the chef(s) were still in training and becoming accustomed to the menu. Seems like a local favorite as every table was occupied the entire time we were there. Cool and trendy vibes.
