I would not recommend this Nail shop to anybody in Gwinnett county! I've got my nails done there three times. The third time was last night to fix my nails that I got done less than a week ago because they keep breaking and shipping. I never planned on going back the third time but the owner Ryan called me and said we'll fix whatever problem this situation is we're so sorry. We understand I had a broken LED light.... Excuse the first time excuses were made the second time. They rush with their nails they're not thorough or consistent unless you're getting some crazy design and some long nails. He begged me to come back in yesterday so I can remove the first review that I had left . They also put hand sanitizer on a woman's face. We just got wax yesterday and was so upset and caused a scene in the front. I would highly recommend not coming to this establishment due to the owners Ryan and Ashley not taking the accountability for providing service that is rushed, not thorough. He begged me to come in and asked me to remove the review so he could fix what was done wrong for the second time. A monthly Manicure & Pedicure is a treat for myself. I've been looking for a new Nail Salon and happened upon this establishment while headed to Publix. I had no appointment and was able to be seen in less than 5mins. The price was pretty good $25 for the Pedicure and $15 for the Manicure. I don't ask for much at the salon but "Shiny Buff" which a process where they sand and buff nails to glass shine. I'm not a polish type of guy but "Shiny Buff" is closest I'll get. Would've gave 5 stars but they didn't shine me up the way I like but so far pretty good for my first time. read more

To be honest, I've been pretty lazy with writing reviews but I saw that this place has a one-star rating so I thought I could help them out because this is not a one-star place, at least from my experience it wasn't. This nail salon is located in the same plaza as Publix on Pleasant Hill and Club Drive. From the parking lot, it looks very dark but they have a lit open sign to show that there is life within. Upon walking in, I wasn't very impressed. The decor was dull and it was too quiet, even with the faint music playing in the background. But had I procrastinated too long and I had to get my nails done and there were 3 other customers in there so I thought, it can't be that bad. I was greeted by one of the ladies sitting down, asked to choose my color and was immediately seated (Friday afternoon). I do have to say, the color selection was severely lacking but they had some good colors. I had requested a gel manicure and she got right to it. I was a little surprised that she used a machine instead of a file to file off my old gel polish but she didn't do any damage to my nails (from what I could see) and she got my old gel off. The manicure bowl water was warm, which I see as a plus because some places don's bother and use cold water). She was very detailed with cutting my cuticles and filed nice and quick (which is another plus for me, I hate the feeling of getting my nails filed). Her hand massage was... eh. She rushed through it and it wasn't very enjoyable but the polish work was good. My service was $25, which is less than most places. So, the place isn't spectacular and it's pretty boring to sit in but the job gets done. She didn't really talk to me other than asking where I was from and was having a conversation in Vietnamese with the guy who was singing to himself next to her. So I would say, don't expect a conversational time while you're here. read more

Went in on a Friday afternoon and was immediately seated. I asked for the callus remover treatment pedicure. Not only did the lady persistently tried to get me to wax my eyebrows, she also rushed my pedicure- bc she had another appointment. She only used the callus remover on one foot and I did not get the hot towels and lotion rub. When I was paying she hovered over me as I was counting money for the tip. I would have given this place one star, but I didn't have to wait on a Friday afternoon, but now that I think about it I would have waited 25min instead of having my pedicure rushed and cut short by 25min... Last but not least- a week later I have an ingrown toenail and I hardly ever get them... I would not recommend this nail salon. read more

I discovered that I had broken a nail on the way home from work. I called my regular nail tech but it was her off day and everyone else in the shop was busy. I had plans later in the evening that I did not want to miss and I was not about to attend with a missing nail. Ladies I know you understand where I'm coming from lol. I pulled into a shopping center to park. I used my Yelp app to locate the closest nail salon since I was pressed for time. Lo and behold this salon was right in the shopping center 1 minute away. I glanced over the reviews and cringed. Then I thought hey I'm only having one nail repaired surely there should be no problem with that. Le' Sigh.. Upon entering I wasn't immediately greeted, just stared at for a minute while everyone was working. Finally a lady working right beside the front desk peered up and asked how she could help me. I stated I just needed the one nail fixed and she replied ok. After I realized I was still standing waiting for more words to come out of her mouth but nothing was happening, I decided to find a seat. At this point I felt very awkward. First impressions mean a lot. The front desk was blocking my entire view of the back of the shop. When I got up to choose my polish I made sure to do a scan of the room. The décor was outdated. Chipped and half painted furniture. The waiting chairs were uncomfortable but the salon chair was comfy and the huge spa chairs appeared to be comfy. The nail polish selection was very small. After 5 minutes of looking for the right pink to match my other pink nails, I gave up and just chose one. I was ready to get the hell out of there. I assume the nail techs saw the many faces I couldn't help but make while I was looking at the polishes because they started laughing and when I looked up they were looking directly at me lol. After about a 15 minute wait an elderly lady came to get me. I thought she was escorting me to someone else but she escorted me to her station. I wondered if this was the dear elderly woman I had read about in another review. I dropped my head and said a quick prayer. To wrap up my review, the repaired nail came out much larger than my other nails and the shape was warped. My daughter referred to it as looking "like a tooth" lol. Not only that but in addition to over drilling on my nail bed to where I was in pain, she also drilled over my skin around the nail quite a few times that it drew a little blood and I cringed in pain and pulled away. The pink did not match up well at all but that was my choosing. I could not wait until it was over. I soaked my finger in alcohol once I got home. The next day I woke up with my finger still in pain so much that I had to take a Tylenol. I immediately scheduled an apt with my regular nail tech that day to have the nail removed. I should have read over the reviews thoroughly first. Lesson learned. read more

I went to this nail salon to get my eyebrows done. Little did I know, I was only going to get one done. The lady who did my eyebrows only waxed one and barely touched the other one. My sister got hers done also and left with her eyebrows looking the exact same. I do not recommend going here to get yours done unless your getting them done by Brittany. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could for this experience. This is my second time here. They did a really great job on my nails the first time. The second time they did an ok job. It's better than I could have done but it was a simple French tip. NEVER EVER get waxed here!!!!! EVER!!!! I get a bikini, eye brows, legs, and underarms waxed pretty regularly. I decided to get it done here so I didn't have to make an extra stop today. I have had it done here once before and it wasn't that bad. I don't jump or squirm or anything. Anyways, I tell the lady I want it done she says ok go to room 2. There is a lady (customer) in room 2. I go into the other waxing room thinking maybe she meant to go in the other room. Nope she comes in and gets me and takes me into the room with the other lady. I'm thinking ok this is awkward. She does this ladies eyebrows and walks the lady out and comes back in. She tells me to lay on the bed and she will start with my eyebrows. I say ok. She picks up the stick she just used on the previous lady and dips it in the same wax she just used on that lady too. I tell her that isn't sanitary. She tries to persuade me it is. I argue with her and finally she empties it out and gets new supplies. (I have friends who do this and are licensed and you can catch herpes and other diseases from this not to mention it was just on another woman). I'm already concerned about the whole situation but decide to go ahead and do it anyways. Worst decision of my life and I have made some horrible ones. She does my eyebrows and underarms then she proceeds to do my bikini area. She starts at the top below my c section and cakes wax everywhere and rips it off missing most of my hair which is pretty long. It hurt worse than it ever has before (like I said I've had this done a fair amount of times to know it's not supposed to feel like that). She proceeds down between my legs. She cakes the wax EVERYWHERE. Now I know this is not the proper way. There is no hair on certain parts of down there if you know what I mean. I tell her it's not supposed to be all over my "girl parts" and she says she has did this for 17 years she knows what she is doing. No she did not. She pulled my lips, hood, clit and everything else with the wax not taking hardly any hair off again. I burst into tears. I've had my jaw broke, a kid, tattoos, 16 piercings (including one down there which was not in) and none of that compared to the pain I felt at that moment. She proceeds to tell me it will hurt because it's sensitive down there. I tell her just forget it I don't want it done anymore. She says ok well I have to get the wax off. She takes the tweezers and tries to pull it off all the areas it's not supposed to be at. I'm pretty sure the stores beside us heard me scream and cry. I went into a complete panic attack after her third attempt to pull off the wax. Which startled her. I know most people don't know how to deal with a full blown attack so I can give her that she may not understand what was going on. I ask her to step out the best I could so I could try to get myself together. I was embarrassed and freaking out and panicking. Instead, she stays and tells me I need to settle down, calm down, she needs to finish, I am making her sweat and freaking her out. I pull up my shirt and cover my face to try to get myself calm and pretend she is not there (even though anyone who deals with panic attacks knows it doesn't work that way) she precedes to try to continue to get this wax off me. I pull away and slide my hands between my legs to make her stop and she just stands there and repeats calm down it's not that bad, settle down, etc. I finally calm down enough for her to try to get the wax off. Afterwards, I am in so much pain I can not put my loose cotton underwear on and I'm sagging my yoga pants because it hurts. It's been about an hour. Please go to an actually place that specializes in wax. It is actually about $100 cheaper. Oh and they still charged me for it. My left half of my lady part is done and also swollen and red and purple and still has wax on it. The other half is still hairy. read more

Both when I called and when I entered the door, I asked how much was a manicure and pedicure. They answered "$24". I looked on the price board, and indeed a spa pedicure was $16 and a manicure was $8. When it was time to pay, they charged me $32 instead of $24 saying that I got "extra treatments". I assume they were talking about the exfoliating and lotion they put on my legs, however, I did not ask them for that (and didn't even like it - it burns on your legs!). They did not ask me if I wanted it or tell me it was going to be extra. when I told them this, they shrugged and pretended not to understand why I didn't want to pay the extra $8. They charged it to my credit card anyway. NOT GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE TO SWINDLE YOUR CLIENTS. I will not be coming back, even though it is the most convenient place for me. My nails looked fine after leaving - pretty standard, but my problem was 99% around the above sneaky business practices. read more

Worst experience I have ever had! DO NOT GO THERE! I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for a manicure and pedicure to only to leave angry and feeling robbed. I asked for a manicure and the old woman cut all of my fingernails off and tried to put tips on. The place is filthy. I watched one woman finish a pedicure and instead of cleaning the tub, they just filled it right back up with water and had their next customer put their feet in someone else's filth. I have been to many nail salons and this place just sucks! They do not appreciate customers and their time or money! I had a bad experience here once before and thought it was just a bad day so I decided to give them another chance. I called ahead of time and asked if I could come in, I was told there was a 5 minute wait so I decided to go and get my nails done there and give them another try. I get there and no one greets me or bothers to ask what I want to get done. I go and pick a color and after 10 minutes I was asked what I wanted. I said mani and pedi. The lady said okay in another 5 minutes it would be my turn. Another 10 minutes goes by and I'm still sitting there waiting. I asked someone how much longer I had to wait and she told me to go sit in the manicure chair and that I would be next. After another 15 minutes, I end up calling another nail salon and just got up and left. I suggest to anyone who wants a professional staff and great nails to NOT go here!!!!! read more

Do not waste your time. The first time I went I had Brittney do my nails and someone else did my pedicure. Average work by the way, but what I thought was unprofessional was when she asked for her tips in cash. She also urged me to tip the lady for my pedicure on top of what I was giving. Brittney also talks bad about the other technicians so she can keep her clients from trying other nail techs. Overall, this establishment is piss poor. Don't waste your time or money. read more

The nail tech I got had some old sorry looking tools. He cheaped me out on the acrylic and botched up 3 of my fingers. These are the thinnest sorriest looking white tips that I have ever gotten in all of my life. No hand massage...nothing special to this place at all.
