My daughter has been with Alla since she was 4 years old and I never see her sitting down. She is always teaching someone or helping advance them on their skills. They are the best coaches and I highly recommend them. If you feel your kid is not progressing at your current gym, with only a little bit of time and patience you will see a big improvement with these 2 wonderful people. You will see how genuine they are and it's not only about the money compared to other gyms out there (most especially Dulles Gymnastics which I would highly recommend staying away from).

Not sure why she couldn't wait till the end. Also want to mention that an exact similar thing happened (referencing story below) with coach Jacki when my daughter was wondering off and didn't follow directions when she too was 3 years old. She approached us and said that she is not good at following directions in front of my daughter. She said that by 3 times if they're still not listening they need to approach the parent. No filters whatsoever with this place. Don't waste your time and money with these pple. The front desk staff- there have been a couple different ones but there is one that always looks pissed off. Rude, Mismanaged, crowded and unprofessional!…read more PARENTS BE AWARE OF THE OWNER'S DOG! My daughter attended for almost a year and we had enough. Besides the rude management staff and questionable "experienced" instructors, what was the last straw was when the owner allowed their dog to roam about the gymnastics floor during a class scaring the kids. Literally my daughter stopped doing anything but held on to me b/c the owner's dog (believe it was a husky), was walking around freely on the mat. When I brought it to the instructors attention, her reply was "yeah that's the owners dog." No one took any action or said anything- the dog was treated with more respect and prioritized over the safety of the kids on the mat!!! This isn't a dog park! You lost a long term customer and I'll be sure to warn other families as well.

We attended this gym for six years, starting when my daughter was 4 and leaving now at age 10. We…read morestayed because she loved gymnastics, but over time it became clear that the environment and particularly the ownership was not supportive or child-centered. Classes were often overcrowded, with kids spending a lot of time waiting for turns and showing limited skill progression. More concerning was the lack of kindness and flexibility from the owner. On one occasion, my daughter was excluded from picture day because I missed an email about a required leotard, resulting in unnecessary tears rather than a simple solution or communication. In another instance, when I missed emails about a competition and asked for guidance, the response was screenshots of emails no support or empathy. I fully acknowledge missing the emails and did not ask or demand anything special but when working with children, there should be a baseline of care, inclusion, and understanding. Unfortunately, that has been lacking. We've chosen to take our business elsewhere to a program that prioritizes kindness, growth, and the emotional well-being of kids, not just rigid rules and transactions. Remember there are other gyms and this doesn't have to be the only choice or acceptable anymore!

Overall, the location is huge with many programs. The staff is always friendly. We recommend checking this place out.

They have been placing 1st & 2nd in competitions and are spot on celebrating birthdays and events at the owners farm. I'm so relieved for her to be able to try so many new things in one place with individuals that are clearly looking out for our kids! I'm posting a couple of pictures I took so my daughter will always have these memories! If you want to get your kid into gymnastics or need an after school program I really recommend Loco Gymnastics!!!

Please do not send your children to this camp! Voted best in 2020? HOW?!?!…read more No idea clue where your child is during the day, when they are going to eat, minimal supervision on site, and SERIOUS sanitation issues. My child attended for 2 weeks and they changed the location of their daily field trips multiple times, with no notification to parents. If my child is supposed to be going to Frying Pan Park, but instead goes to the owners house / farm in Berryville...I should be notified. Poor planning to the point that the kids didn't eat their packed lunch (bc it was left onsite) and instead received a rice krispy treat as a snack. They finally ate LUNCH onsite around 3pm. Majority of the day is free-time in the back gym while "grown ups are at the front on their phones", where a wall blocks any view. To top it off, my child said multiple times there were no paper towels in the bathroom and at least twice no toilet paper. I witnessed this first hand we went to bathroom before leaving, there were no paper-towels and the hand soap was empty! The owner pulled out a bar of soap from under the sink and asked staff to bring paper towels. When non were found, she went next door and brought them, claiming the business next door (the martial arts place she will include as an activity) borrowed them. She then proceeded to argue that the cleaning staff stocks nightly. Ignoring the fact that these items were not present in the bathroom when the children needed them!!! The owner also said their ratio is 5:1 but most field trips are her and 1 other lady. Multiple 7 year olds (mine and others) have no reason to lie about who attended a field trip. When confronted for any issues, Mrs. Winter (the owner) claims everything is for the children...but the truth is it's her bottom line matters more. Any caring person (or teenager) would never run a camp like this. In summary: If you don't want to know where your kid is during the day, what staff is present, when they will eat, how they wipe or wash their hands, sign up.

It's important to note that a lot of the really positive reviews here have become rather outdated…read more My child took classes at Fitwize in 2021 and 2022. It was okay. There was a lot of waiting-in-line-for-your-turn (didn't experience this at G-Force, Stingrays) and it often felt like the instructor was more interested in chatting with the students and getting them to laugh at his jokes vs teaching them skills. Some staff - high school students - were clearly not ready to be instructors. Jess is fantastic and my child learned a lot from her, but one teacher cannot an entire tumbling program make and we couldn't always get into her classes. We ended up moving to a program with a greater number of strong instructors who focused on clean form and consistent progression. There are better options in Ashburn.

In addition, there are several class options and multiple times for all skill levels. (Important to note - if your gymnast is practicing at an intermediate or advanced level and does not wish to be on one of their teams - it is in your best interest to first ask if the coach assigned has the ability to properly and safely spot your child.) Also, DGA has an amazing presence at all DMV area meets (State and National ones too). Their Developmental (DP) and Xcel teams, both, are a force to be reckoned with - as this is a well established - fact in the gymnastics community. My daughter had been taking lessons and was really enjoying them until she took a fall. I specifically asked the coach ( who was not her regularly scheduled coach - the class assigned coach was on the gym floor just not, for whatever reason, teaching that class.) who brought her back to the waiting/viewing area what happened. I directly asked if my daughter's fall was her fault - was she being unsafe. The coach expressly told me no, my daughter was assigned a drill (in the previous class) that should not have been assigned. No further explanation was given. My daughter had explained to me what had transpired. My daughter was in pain - another coach (not affiliated with DGA) told me to take her to a specialist. No one at DGA reached out to see how she was feeling, no one even said we hope she feels better. The entire situation was completely ignored - this is not just unprofessional; it is also unkind and unempathetic. DGA is currently and actively working at becoming the number one power- house gymnastics facility in the DMV. They should, first and foremost, actively work on improving their coaches' communication skills, feigning compassion, and being committed to always implementing safety.
