I enrolled my two kids here around August 2025 and my original experience was a little iffy, but…read morethey've definitely found their footing now. as an established business in a new area/building, I know there were a few things that needed to be ironed out. I heard a lot of mixed reviews originally, but I am so glad my kids stayed and stuck with this place. their teachers have really proved to be so patient and shown the care and consideration they have towards the young ones. my son loves gymnastics, but he's 3 and not the best listener. they have some established gymnasts as their teachers and they have been a delight to work with. my daughter, 9, has also very much enjoyed her time here & has made fantastic progress! highly recommend this facility for your children to really grow and learn! big shout-out to Kayla, Erin, Grey, Jada & Ari (I hope I spelled their names right) !

We only came for one class and decided it wasn't as nice as the other place we used to go to. The…read morewaiting area is nice and bright which is nice. But while we were there during our first time, we saw a couple of things that we weren't too fond of. A couple of kids at different times came out to the waiting area crying because they got hurt. The coaches would basically try to shift blame to the kid saying they didn't do anything wrong and that sometimes kids get hurt and that the girls were fine. Felt like they were just deflecting. The coaches for my daughter's class were sitting down for part of the session on mats and wearing house slippers and hoodies while giving directions on what the children should be doing. Sees like they should be more engaged with the kids during warm up and dress more appropriately. Also, while we were waiting, we saw numerous older girls go into the girl's bathroom and they were all being loud and calling people on their cell phones and playing either TikTok videos or YouTube videos. We could hear them in the waiting area. No staff cared or came to tell the girls to stop playing around. I would have felt bad if my 6 year old daughter had to use the bathroom and go in there with them. In the end, we signed our daughter up to try it but we weren't satisfied with what we saw after one visit. We will be going back to the other gymnastics place that seems better even though it is further from our house.

First, I just want to note that my daughter started gymnastics in NoVA at age 2. She's 9 now. So I…read morehave some experience with gyms in the area (she's attended three). My biggest priority with any gym is safety, for obvious reasons. There is a gym in NoVA where the owner had to step down because of allegations of SA and yet his wife still runs the gym. I would encourage you to research the gym where your child attends and make sure there is no history of improper conduct. Gym America is a safe place for my daughter. That is the top reason why I love it. Of course, even with background checks, you never know, so I regularly check in with my daughter to see how she feels. And she loves Gym America and her coaches. The next reason I love Gym America is because they have responsive customer service. When I returned to the area after living abroad, I emailed a few gyms, and one of the big gyms in the area never even returned my email. Laura, the owner at Gym America, responded the same day. My daughter is now a Level 4 gymnast. One of the things I didn't know until the last few years is that there are two competitive tracks: Xcel and JO. Some of the gyms in the area don't offer JO, which is another reason I chose Gym America. My daughter spends 15 hours a week at the gym and loves it. I think that speaks for itself. If you are reading through these reviews, you might want to weigh one like mine a little more seriously, compared to people who have only spent a small amount of time at the gym. I've had a lot of opportunity to see what the gym is actually like. I'm not saying it's perfect, but I am saying that 1) my daughter has been safe here and 2) that her skills have improved *substantially* since she started here a year and a half ago.

Not sure why she couldn't wait till the end. Also want to mention that an exact similar thing happened (referencing story below) with coach Jacki when my daughter was wondering off and didn't follow directions when she too was 3 years old. She approached us and said that she is not good at following directions in front of my daughter. She said that by 3 times if they're still not listening they need to approach the parent. No filters whatsoever with this place. Don't waste your time and money with these pple. The front desk staff- there have been a couple different ones but there is one that always looks pissed off. The owners are mean and don't care about you. Bad vibes everywhere at this place.

Rude, Mismanaged, crowded and unprofessional!…read more PARENTS BE AWARE OF THE OWNER'S DOG! My daughter attended for almost a year and we had enough. Besides the rude management staff and questionable "experienced" instructors, what was the last straw was when the owner allowed their dog to roam about the gymnastics floor during a class scaring the kids. Literally my daughter stopped doing anything but held on to me b/c the owner's dog (believe it was a husky), was walking around freely on the mat. When I brought it to the instructors attention, her reply was "yeah that's the owners dog." No one took any action or said anything- the dog was treated with more respect and prioritized over the safety of the kids on the mat!!! This isn't a dog park! You lost a long term customer and I'll be sure to warn other families as well.
