I found Loco Gymnastics Club and could not be happier. Winter and her team have provided my girl the best experience. They have an awesome after school program that helps me a ton & their gymnastics coach is the best! They have been placing 1st & 2nd in competitions and are spot on celebrating birthdays and events at the owners farm. I'm so relieved for her to be able to try so many new things in one place with individuals that are clearly looking out for our kids! I'm posting a couple of pictures I took so my daughter will always have these memories! If you want to get your kid into gymnastics or need an after school program I really recommend Loco Gymnastics!!!

Please do not send your children to this camp! Voted best in 2020? HOW?!?!…read more No idea clue where your child is during the day, when they are going to eat, minimal supervision on site, and SERIOUS sanitation issues. My child attended for 2 weeks and they changed the location of their daily field trips multiple times, with no notification to parents. If my child is supposed to be going to Frying Pan Park, but instead goes to the owners house / farm in Berryville...I should be notified. Poor planning to the point that the kids didn't eat their packed lunch (bc it was left onsite) and instead received a rice krispy treat as a snack. They finally ate LUNCH onsite around 3pm. Majority of the day is free-time in the back gym while "grown ups are at the front on their phones", where a wall blocks any view. To top it off, my child said multiple times there were no paper towels in the bathroom and at least twice no toilet paper. I witnessed this first hand we went to bathroom before leaving, there were no paper-towels and the hand soap was empty! The owner pulled out a bar of soap from under the sink and asked staff to bring paper towels. When non were found, she went next door and brought them, claiming the business next door (the martial arts place she will include as an activity) borrowed them. She then proceeded to argue that the cleaning staff stocks nightly. Ignoring the fact that these items were not present in the bathroom when the children needed them!!! The owner also said their ratio is 5:1 but most field trips are her and 1 other lady. Multiple 7 year olds (mine and others) have no reason to lie about who attended a field trip. When confronted for any issues, Mrs. Winter (the owner) claims everything is for the children...but the truth is it's her bottom line matters more. Any caring person (or teenager) would never run a camp like this. In summary: If you don't want to know where your kid is during the day, what staff is present, when they will eat, how they wipe or wash their hands, sign up.

In addition, there are several class options and multiple times for all skill levels. (Important to note - if your gymnast is practicing at an intermediate or advanced level and does not wish to be on one of their teams - it is in your best interest to first ask if the coach assigned has the ability to properly and safely spot your child.) Also, DGA has an amazing presence at all DMV area meets (State and National ones too). Their Developmental (DP) and Xcel teams, both, are a force to be reckoned with - as this is a well established - fact in the gymnastics community. My daughter had been taking lessons and was really enjoying them until she took a fall. I specifically asked the coach ( who was not her regularly scheduled coach - the class assigned coach was on the gym floor just not, for whatever reason, teaching that class.) who brought her back to the waiting/viewing area what happened. I directly asked if my daughter's fall was her fault - was she being unsafe. The coach expressly told me no, my daughter was assigned a drill (in the previous class) that should not have been assigned. No further explanation was given. My daughter had explained to me what had transpired. My daughter was in pain - another coach (not affiliated with DGA) told me to take her to a specialist. No one at DGA reached out to see how she was feeling, no one even said we hope she feels better. The entire situation was completely ignored - this is not just unprofessional; it is also unkind and unempathetic. DGA is currently and actively working at becoming the number one power- house gymnastics facility in the DMV. They should, first and foremost, actively work on improving their coaches' communication skills, feigning compassion, and being committed to always implementing safety.

I have consulted Angie and her staff on how best to help my kiddo through everything from potty training and sleep regressions to reward systems. My kiddo (and the entire Junior Kindergarten class) graduated into Kindergarten not only with all the skills they needed to succeed in Kindergarten, but also understanding phonics and able to read simple books! My daughter attended this gym for eight months, and during that time she didn't improved at all they, have two gym the second gym creation story is written below, After I realized that the management had no real plan for developing gymnasts--their only goal was business. Overcrowded classes with highly inexperienced coaches led me to this conclusion. After my daughter switched to Gym I360 and made significant progress, the management of G-Force took an unethical step by hiring a coach from I360 Gym. Their goal was to bring over all of that coach's students--who had been trained for years under I360's structured program--without making their own long-term investment in skilled coaches and proper gymnast development. Instead of putting in the effort to build their own program, they simply set up a separate training space for the "poached" coach and gymnasts, using them for promotional purposes as if they were a product of G-Force's training. Overall, the management of this gym is extremely unethical.

We've always felt that our children are safe, well cared for, and encouraged to learn and grow every day. One feature we especially appreciate is the SproutAbout app. It's a great way to stay connected throughout the day by viewing classroom updates and photos of our child. The app also provides the daily schedule, breakfast and lunch menus, and other important updates, making it easy to know what's happening even while we're at work. Having access to the classroom cameras also gives us added peace of mind. The leadership team has always been responsive whenever we've had questions. We unfortunately had a disappointing experience with Karter School's summer camp (One Loudoun) that…read moreI think is important for other parents to be aware of. During camp, our six-year-old was involved in an incident with another child that resulted in him hitting his head against a window. We completely understand that incidents between children can happen, and our concern was never simply that the incident occurred. Our concern was how it was handled afterward. We were not contacted by phone when the head injury occurred and instead received a brief app message much later in the day, shortly before pickup. Given his age and the fact that it involved his head, we felt strongly that we should have been notified promptly so we could understand what happened, how he was assessed, and make decisions about his care. After we raised our concerns, Karter Schools conducted an investigation and acknowledged that aspects of the situation and communication could have been handled better. But because our son no longer felt comfortable returning for the final day of camp, they also agreed to refund us for that day. Unfortunately, more than a month later, we still have not received the promised refund. We have followed up three separate times and have not received a response or update. This is extremely frustrating given our original complaint was about lack of communication and now they are continuing to display that again. I'm sharing this not because we expect children's programs to prevent every incident, but because communication and follow-through matter tremendously when parents are trusting an organization with their children. We appreciated that our initial concerns were investigated and acknowledged (after pushing back on it), but the lack of follow-through since then has added to what was already a disappointing experience.

I have watched [my child] in the app and my heart is filled with warm fuzzies. Ms. Helen and Ms. Wei are rocking the classroom! The children are so engaged! And they are doing so many things! What I am seeing in the app, without even exchanging words, is evidence that [my child] is receiving exactly the care and learning opportunities and adventures that I anticipated when I toured with Ms. Sabrina and opted to switch to this school! The main factors that drew me to Karter was the opportunity for [my child] to move around, not be stuck in one classroom all day and the varying enrichments to keep engaged. THIS is THAT and I LOVE it!! (Lots of exclamation marks, people!) I am very pleased with the situation; Ms. Stephanie is incredible and firm and loving; I have no complaints whatsoever! Maybe it's the candid photography this week that's peaking the good vibes, I just could not stay silent, I'm so glad [my child] is there! Yay Karter School!"
