We've had them at commercial places like Kindercare, smaller non-profits, a Reggio inspired school, and now here at Loudoun Montessori School. The two lead teachers / owners are great. They are knowledgeable, caring, and patient. The staff are really the star attraction at Loudoun Montessori School. Ms. Aida and Ms. Renu are stellar! If anything, choose a school implementing a true Montessori education with AMS accredited teachers, who have many years of experience teaching Montessori (not just "Montessori based"). Montessori is not just learning through "play"; it is about observation (someone showing / teaching you with one-on-one lessons) and learning by mastering it yourself (trial and error, critical thinking). Wish we knew this before! We compared many Montessori schools in Ashburn, and it was fortunate that we found Loudoun Montessori School! Our daughter went from being sick every other week at her previous daycare to only missing a handful of days due to sickness each year. Now at age 5, she knows how to sing multiple songs, count to 20, and say her colors - all in Spanish! Academically, she is light-years ahead of our other children at age 5. She can read and write in complete sentences, loves to rhyme, does 4 digit addition, and knows little tidbits about the 50 states. She looks forward to school and leaves happy even on her off days. What a difference a school makes! Loudoun Montessori School is clean, has bright, open spaces, and provides a true Montessori education with reasonable rates.

As our daughter moved to the preschool and pre-k we realized our need for private kindergarten. We discovered that the Goddard School is the only accredited school in the area. This adds to all the amazing academics that made us continue to choose Goddard Schools over daycares in the area. We love that we have seen the consistency in the staff, many of them have been here since before we started three years ago. We highly recommend the Goddard School of Leesburg.

When Kiddie Academy closed due to landlord issues, we followed Hasna and her team without any hesitation. During the transition, I met with Madhu (owner) a few times and she was welcoming, understanding, and compassionate about the abrupt changes. My daughter is in the Panda class with Shannon and Gana. Shannon is one of the warmest souls I've met. Gana, who was part of the KA staff, cares for my daughter in such a way that my L recognizes it, and always goes to her at drop off, and is sitting on her lap at pick up! There is a strong emphasis on learning- but learning through play. Physical movement, art skills, sharing, books, dramatic play. The manager said to me, "we don't have the resources to devote to keeping him still like he is in your arms right now." Excuse me? They did not even "try!"
