Golden Meadow Kindercare is not a business, it's a family! As a single mom who works full time I have been able to trust, rely on and depend on all of the teachers and directors at Golden Meadow. Through a pandemic, through potty training, challenging behavior years and more. My daughters were beyond prepared for their kindergarten year both socially and academically and scored well above benchmarks. We return every year for summer camp without any consideration as the teachers have become incredibly important staples in my daughters lives. My daughter has been going here for a year and we absolutely love it. She started in the toddlers classroom with Ms. Yaneth who is PHENOMENAL. My daughter loved her, got very attached to her and learned so much in that classroom. When she turned two in May she transferred to the 2-s classroom and we never thought there could be another teacher as good as Ms. Yaneth but low and behold we got Ms. Miki who is equally as amazing. SUPER sweet, and every time I pick up my daughter she doesn't even want to come home! And Ms. Miki gives me such a good report on her day and keeps me aware of issues we have discussed (not daycare related, things like how I want her to eat more but not certain things, etc.). These teachers become like family and I have not seen a SINGLE teacher leave, they have zero to low turnover. And the Director, Ms. Amy is so wonderful to work with. She always says hi and I feel so comfortable going to her with any concerns. What sold me on this particular center though, was when I enrolled my daughter my biggest concern was her transition since she had been at home with a nanny for 16 months and most daycare Directors would brush off that fear and say "oh don't worry she'll adjust." But Amy came up with a week long transition plan to have me in the classroom with her a few hours a day and extending my daughters time in the classroom without me day by day. It was such a great transition. For about one month she would cry at dropoff (and stop crying by the time I had walked out of the building) and ever since then when I drop her off I have to chase her to hug me and give me a kiss goodbye! If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't change a THING. Love my KinderCare family. read more

We love having Golden Meadow Kindercare as part of our "village"! They make our life so easy- provide all food and diapers, open 6:30 to 6:30, amazing learning (our kid comes home singing so many different sounds!), and they have an app so we can get updates and photos throughout the day. How to capture how I feel about this school? They are my family. They love my children like their own. They care about the quality of our lives. Not just the kids, but the parents as well. Some of the teachers have been at the school for decades. That kind of continuity has been critical for my kids. My family has been with Golden Meadow KinderCare for over 9 years now. One of our boys started when he was 4 years old in the Pre-K room, and our other son started in the infant room. We have been so happy having these hard working, thoughtful, caring teachers take care of our children. When you walk into this building the feel is more like a home then a daycare. Great Group Of People. I have to say that leaving my child at Daycare the very first day was one of the hardest things I've ever done in my life. However Mrs. Mary in the infant room was great, it display very quickly that she's been caring for kids for a whole and knew how to handle the situation. She reassured me that my baby was in good hands and that I could call her all day to check in if I wanted to. Mrs. Mary would stay and have long talks about your baby development and make suggestions where needed/ if needed! I do hate she is no longer there but the other members are great also. Every clean environment for the kids, and lots of learning actives are done with the children from day one ( as early as 6 weeks of age)! read more

Golden Meadow provides a nurturing, caring, and safe place for our daughter to build relationships, learn new skills and explore her world. They genuinely care for our daughter and communicate the focus of her monthly lessons, the food menu, and her development. Additionally they have been quickly responsive to questions or concerns, and always make me feel reassured that they have our daughter's best interests at heart. We have had the pleasure of meeting with our daughter's teachers a few times, which is important to us as we want to build a transparent and open relationship with those who care for our daughter during the week. They are flexible with providing food from home on occasion, clothing change requests, and nap schedule changes. The environment is friendly, warm, and caring and everyone seems to enjoy being there. Our daughter is happy when we drop her off and pick her up and we couldn't ask for a better group of people to share her with over the last year. read more

Kindercare in Golden Meadow is one of the best daycare center in the Ashburn area. My kids love this school, see them smiling and happy everyday, I have no words to express my gratitude to the teachers, Mrs. Trisha and director Amy. I absolutely love Golden Meadow. After touring about 8 different day care centers in the area, we settled on GM after our tour. My kids have just hit the 1 year mark and they are stuck with us for the years to come! The staff are not only professional, they actually care for and love the children. I can ask questions/concerns on any day about my kids and I know they will do their best to answer me. Kids really love this place because of the nurturing spirit that surrounds it. My child has been enrolled in Golden Meadow Kindercare for almost a year now in the after school Kindergarten Enrichment program. When we moved to Ashburn last summer, I began my search of after school programs for my daughter. As a former elementary/preschool teacher with a bachelor's and master's degree in Elementary Ed/Early Childhood Ed, you can say I am just a bit picky about the school I will send my child. After touring several schools in the area which would fit our needs, we left them all feeling very discouraged. While many of the facilities were new and beautiful, they offered less than an ideal educational environment. Most of the schools had a high turnover of teachers, and from what I observed, the children were not appropriately taught, engaged, monitored, or disciplined. I then came across Golden Meadow Kindercare. To be honest, I did not even want to tour this school. I guess I just heard one too many bad stories about the overall Kindercare "franchise" in general. When met with Amy Terranova (the site director) and Miss Trish (the school aged teacher), my opinion completely changed. As soon as we walked in the building, we felt a sense of home, as it was very warm, inviting, and homey. Amy and Trish kindly greeted each of us, showed us around, and sat down with us to further discuss curriculum, policies, etc... and answered all of our questions. They never made us feel rushed during our tour and were extremely thorough. During this time, one of the women always made sure to be with our child, talking and playing with her, which did not happen during the other school tours. My husband and I left knowing that this was definitely the school we wanted to send our child, despite all the feelings I had for Kindercare in the past. Our daughter has been attending Golden Meadow Kindercare since September and truly could not be happier there! She comes home every day with new stories to tell about fun things she did, what she learned, friends she made, etc... Miss Trish is absolutely wonderful! She is kind, playful, engaging, silly, and fun- just like a big kid! However, she knows how to properly manage her entire class. Upon various pick up times, I have witnessed firsthand, her abilities to appropriately and fairly discipline the kids when needed, and keep the class orderly. She makes it a strong point to teach the kids about and enforce kindness, helpfulness, acceptance, and respect amongst all of the children, which is crucial in this day and age! Each day, she has fun hands-on educational lessons planned for the Kindergarten Enrichment class which my daughter loves. She also has activities and centers arranged for when the older kids show up after their school day ends. I see all the children happy and engaged each day, which is exactly how school should be! Amy, the site director, is top notch! She is always smiling and genuinely happy to talk to both parents and children. She makes it a point to get to really know each child and their family individually. On a daily basis, I see her engaged with the children in all of the classrooms, not just working in her office like a typical director. She takes the concerns of parents seriously and addresses them right away. I really don't have much interaction with the other teachers in the school, but when I walk past the classrooms, I consistently see smiling, friendly, interactive, well-engaged teachers and babies/toddlers/children. In my opinion, this is of upmost importance when deciding on a childcare facility for your child. You want happy, pleased teachers caring for your children- their childhood experiences and aspirations of lifelong learning will be much more optimistic with the positive attitudes of teachers, especially in the early childhood years. I can see all the teachers feel the same way with how proactive they are in their work. I know this is a lengthy review, but I really wanted to cover as much as I could so that parents, when deciding on a childcare/school for their child, would be able to get a full grasp of this school. I normally don't write reviews that often, only when I feel very strongly about something and feel as if I could help somebody, especially when it comes to children. If you are considering this school, please don't judge the Kindercare name like I did at first. Even though it may be a "chain", I have way more respect for the name now, witnessing what I have seen. Where do I start. The center use to be a very warm welcoming place when the old center director Amy Terranova was there. They have a new center director Kurtis Barrows who doesn't seem very genuine. You can see the difference in the way the teachers act. It seem as though the teachers are only smiling cause they need to be not the genuine happy smile that is families are use to. It's been numerous of times I've seen teachers in the office when I walk in with them leaving his office in tears. He over kills us parents with emails about tuition before the tuition is even due. I've had to ignore his phone calls a few times praying something wasn't wrong with my child only to get a voicemail about tuition that wasn't even due yet. Tuition statements are posted every Saturday he wants us to pay them in advance. Who put this man in charge. I once over heard a teacher crying to another teacher about something he said to her. My heart goes out these teachers. They don't deserve the treatment they are getting from him. Someone get this man out of there please. My family and I miss the warm and welcoming Golden Meadows. read more

Unfortunately they increased there prices exponentially and we had to look for a new daycare. It's still a good school though.

Poorly maintained and highly understaffed. You can see different people cooking in the kitchen everyday. food is always of poor quality and canned.I always found over 20 kids with one teacher whenever I dropped before 3 pm to pick up my kid. We started bringing our son to Golden Meadow when he was 3 months old and can't say enough good things! First, we started off doing part time daycare (2 days a week) and had family watch our son the other days. If family got sick, or if something came up and we needed to shift days, they were very flexible and understanding, even on very little notice. We eventually switched to full time care at Golden meadow and are so happy. It's like dropping Liam off with family. Ms. Lili in the infant room is fantastic and so sweet with the kids. They all want to be around her, and picked up by her. When we drop our son off, he isn't sad or upset. Instead he thrives and is so happy to be there. It makes leaving him every day just a little easier knowing he is in such great hands. The directors are very friendly, fun and welcoming.
