Came here to celebrate passing an exam! It was quiet, music was playing and the games were on. Service was great. We sat at the bar and enjoyed ourselves. Definitely a place to visit. We had cheese bread, lamb chops, and pasta with shrimp and grilled chicken. Food came out quick, and was hot. Drinks were great. We had a Moscow Mule and some others.

I'm giving this place a 5,because of the location and parking space. This place used to be a very good after work spot. Back in the days it was packed, good music and great atmosphere. The food was good nice portions and tasty, staff is always friendly and fast. I haven't been here since the pandemic, for a Saturday night it was super empty. I will still return.

This is ridiculous

It's extremely painful to buy 2 plates of food and 2 drinks for $89 and it taste like nothing I mean absolutely nothing. What further pissed me off is that we was charged $27 for just plain Alfredo and $12 for a piece of fish, since when is plain Alfredo is $27?. The shrimp in the linguine was 2x over cooked to the point I couldn't even eat it. Yes, it seems we were the last customers but it's better not to take an order then to serve your customer tasteless food for all that money. I wouldn't be mad if the food was good but this don't make no sense. Even after adding the basic salt, pepper and garlic it was still terrible. Nope I won't be back Oh the part was this

I ordered penne a la vodka and my best friend had bowties in pesto sauce with chicken. We ordered two pictures of passion fruit sangria

I come here often I want to give the place 5 stars because the food is so delicious and the drinks are usually on point. However the workers never seem to smile and look miserable. Our waitress was upset that she got seated another table (my table) on a busy night. We received that energy from her the entire night. Me and my best friend didn't say anything to her and we continued to enjoy our food, drinks and good music. Not until the time it was for us to pay our tab was when she finally cracked a smile :) "thank you ladies " lol. We know what that means (leave me a nice tip please). I even witnessed a party of 4 walk out because the waitress had such a nasty attitude. I have worked in restaurants for many years and it really sucks as an employee to have sour people work with you if you have a job with pulled tip. The bartender can be doing her best to make tips for those co workers who don't even care to wipe a table off or great a table in a timely fashion. Point of the matter is I will still continue to come to eat here because of the great food and drinks, but management should really evaluate their floor staff.

I've been to this restaurant almost 10 times in the past three months and while I do enjoy the food, the customer service experience leaves a lot to be desired. Let's start with the fact that one particular way that walks around with his mask underneath his nose instead of over it and constantly have to be reminded to pull it up. While the food is good the wait time for someone to take your order and to deliver the food to the table is horrendous. Also I ordered a Pepsi and waited 20 minutes for it to be brought to my table even though my table was right across from the bar. Not to mention that three times that I've been here in the past month every time I go to the bathroom heavily soiled hand towels are overflowing in the wastebasket and it doesn't look like anyone has cleaned the bathroom since they opened in the early part of the day. The visit before my last one I had ordered some calamari and the way to disappeared and I didn't see him for almost 30 minutes; when he reappeared he explained to me that he was also on the lower level working as the bartender because about four staff members all went on lunch at the same time. What?!? Who is doing the lunch schedules for these individuals?!? I do notice that this restaurant has their faithful and loyal clientele to come on the regular and perhaps they have the mindset that those are the only ones that they need to serve and maybe they aren't concerned about new clientele; and with that being said, I think it's time for me to take my business elsewhere even though I do enjoy the food.

G-Bar is connected to the side of Giovanni's and is a regular after work happy hours spot for people who work nearby. The space is small, with just a couple little tables, a lot of bar seating, but not enough mingle room. The drinks range from $5-7 during happy hour which is a relatively good price. However, the margaritas are hit or miss. Not everyone there makes it the same and sometimes it tasted like they just threw ingredients together and called it a margarita. The sangria also isn't good, tastes cheap, so maybe stick to beer. I have had some wings which come from the restaurant and those are delicious! The pizza is also pretty good, especially the margarita. The calamari was chewy and not crispy enough for my liking but could've just been that day. I'd only go back when coworkers drag me along, there are better options.

Corner Social is always busy and forget it from Friday afternoon onwards through the weekend typically. Seeing my opening, I took it today. I walked into the well appointed space and had my choice of seating. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my order came within ten minutes. Given what this kitchen normally handles, the pace of orders today was a cakewalk. The shrimp and grits are served on a bowl of a plate with a wide rim to exaggerate the amount of the serving. It's all very tasty, but they could afford to place the shrimp and sliced andouille on a more substantial mound of grits. Grits are very inexpensive and it seemed they could afford to have more of these creamy grits as part of a more substantial presentation, especially at this price point in the mid twenties. There are about six medium to large sized shrimp with a few slices of andouille to spice things up. To the credit of the chef, the dish managed good flavor without overly salting it or have it swimming in butter. Read that last sentence again. There seem to be cooked onions and peppers in the sauce, rounding out the flavors. Service was good at Corner Social and the bathroom is clean. There are far more things on the menu, but the shrimp and grits leave the palate satisfied, but the stomach wanting more for the value. It's a lively atmosphere with several flatscreens behind the bar to catch the game. 3.8 stars!

Unless you know about it, you can easily walk by, given it blends into the general Harlem cityscape, especially during the day. Then at night, especially during the afterhours when I was there, the scene flips and this place becomes turnt up! People were lined up trying to get inside at 0130. The bouncers were searching and patting people down, nothing absurd or overly intrusive. There is a cover charge and they take credit cards for the cover. As you walk inside, the bar in on your right. Keep going and the dancefloor awaits you. It's not that large, but people are generally very courteous. There are a few places to sit, especially in the back in the left corner. That is also where the steps lead you downstairs, presumably to the restroom, which I did not have to use. The vibe is poppin' inside and it is fed by the DJ on a stage in the back, playing Worldbeats, Afropop, Afrobeats, Reggae, Dance Hall, and Soca. They are setup for live bands here. The volume is high, but not uncomfortably or earsplittingly high. The people here are drawn to this vibe and energy. You can dance here all night and the air conditioning and ventilation are of the capacity to keep you and everyone else comfortable. Stick around until closing time at 0400 when everyone starts walking out and the AC nearly turns the Shrine into a refrigerator. For an unassuming place on the outside, it is clear this is a place you can come to with friends or a date if this is your vibe and it's hard to imagine anyone not enjoying this. Prices are reasonable too at the bar. They have a good selection of draught and bottled beer. Guinness on tap was $9 for a pint. They serve up the cocktails too. Four fun and returnworthy stars!

Ordered: Jerk Mushroom and Vegetable Omlete - 5/5 If you've been following me you know i'm not that much of a breakfast person but rest assured The Good Good will be seeing me again. This is what I call a breakfast worth $25. Long story short, the Jerk seasoning changes the game; that is the secret sauce here. It brings out depth and heat to the rest of what you're eating. And then its also incorporated into the potatoes too and with the omlete oozing with juices it just makes the potatoes burst with flavor even more. This was one of those meals that you have to eat slowly because you don't want it to be gone. Service: 5/5 - It was great! The food was next level: the crispy Brussels sprouts were addictive, the dates with bacon hit that perfect sweet-and-savory balance, and the pan-seared Branzino was cooked to perfection. I took the 4 train and walked over (14 minute walk) - it was a tense walk - the neighborhood has completely deteriorated. If you decide to go, take the 2 train which is across the street from the restaurant. I ordered the Yardbird Fried Chicken, with a side order of Stone Ground Grits. I asked for white meat, which has an up charge. The two breasts were thick and juicy - the flour crust was crunchy and balanced out the tender chicken. Red Rooster uses a process called 'beer-brined', using a lager with the brine overnight. It helps the chicken retain its juiciness and adds a unique flavor. I will admit there was a good amount of salt in the chicken-not to the point it was objectionable, but it was heavy. Nonetheless, it was an excellent fried chicken. I hesitated getting the garlic mashed potatoes since I was getting the grits - but I decided to get them anyway. I'm glad I did - they were very good. The grits were delicious - the menu states 'Creamy Stone Ground Grits'. There's no mention of cheese, which I found unusual, since they were cheesy. They were very creamy, not too salty, nice and hot, and with each spoonful, very thin strands of cheese would be trailing on the spoon. Truly excellent grits. The venue was very warm and beautifully decorated. I had read several reviews where the staff is very friendly...and they are!
