The interior is absolutely adorable but the food is mediocre at best and the service is horrible. I was there midday on a Saturday and the only paying guest and the server just kind of ignored me. I asked for the check and didn't see her again for ages. Super weird. Don't need to ever come back.

I had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a table, which was fine. However, after we were seated, it took forever for the waiter to come take our order. I'm usually patient, but it was getting out of hand. I had to follow up with the waiter just to get our appetizers, and when they arrived, the chicken lollipops were undercooked. They looked crispy on the outside, but they were still pink inside and definitely needed more cooking. After letting the waiter know about the chicken, they took it back, but when the bill came, the charge for the chicken was still there. I reminded them to remove it, and they did. Unfortunately, with all the issues we had, I won't be returning. The only thing I enjoyed was the tea.

03/23/24: Attended a brunch. Decor is cool and photo worthy for social media. Staff: server was bit standoffish. Wasn't just me many at the table felt the same. Food took for ever to arrive. It was a prefix brunch and honestly the food was just okay. I can be particular about meals however the general consensus of the party was food was bland and needed more seasoning. Saving grace was the drinks. For the mimosa thankfully besides orange juice the other option was passionfruit. I love passionfruit. I wasn't a fan of the white sangria but others were. Very cute spot as it seems a lot of celebratory events were happening. For me and my party the food was mediocre.

THANK YOU BOCADITOS FOR BEING UPTOWN! If you're ever in the area please give this place a try. The space is beautiful and resembles a tea party vibe. The first time I came here there was an actual tea party happening at another table. The food was GREAT and the staff is super nice and attentive. I think it's beautiful to have a space where the food not only tastes good but everything around you feels nice. The space is clean, intentionally decorated and people are super friendly. Our waiter recommended the croquettes and we are HAPPY that we took his advice- they were DELICIOUS. We had a couple of drinks along with our food and our experience here was great! The only thing I recommend is more items on the menu, other than that.. FABULOUS.

Poorly printed, cut, and grammatically incorrect menus.

Pretty much ruined my surprise baby sprinkle. The event was from 1-5pm. My guests, who arrived before 1pm since it was a surprise, were not allowed to our reserved upstairs seating until 1:30pm. By 2pm all my guests and I had already arrived. We were not offered drinks till about an hour later. It took yet another hour for us to even get a food menu. We were all famished by this point, so I went down to check up on food service right before they came up, and the server was just printing and cutting the menus for us (the event was booked at least a month prior). We finally got our appetizers at about 3:40pm. Then it took another hour for us to get our entrees. We got food at 4:40pm, and we were supposed to be done by 5pm. I understand it was a large group, which is what they told us, but this event was booked well in advance, and there were no other guests at the restaurant. They should have better prepared. When my guests asked for specific items, like a beer or a soda, they either never got it, or were given a disrespectful response by one of the two waiters provided for the 40 people event. The space upstairs was also very poorly prepared. There were cleaning supplies by the stairs we all had to use to enter the event. There were also many items stored up there that ruined the decorations for my event, and took up space, so the tables for my guests and I were tightly spaced and we didn't have enough room to comfortably accommodate ourselves. We had to angle around the mess to take decent pictures. There was also no light in half of the space. There were missing and burnt out light bulbs, so half of my guests had to sit and eat in the dark. We were offered to stay an extra hour (which we would've had to have done regardless due to the timing of their service), and another hour of drinks to make up for the service delay, but that still doesn't make up for the poor time my guests and I had. Thankfully the food was edible, so we did enjoy that. Never again will I host an event at Bicaditos, nor do I recommend anyone to do so. Very disappointed and heartbroken that their service and preparation ruined my event.

First off I love the decor of bocaditos it's very pretty and girly. I went on a Friday around 5pm. It was pretty empty which was great because I went to meet a friend to catch up and chat. The waiter was attentive. We ordered the truffle burrata empanadas to share. They were good but it did lack something. I feel like it needed to be mixed with something. They serve it with sauce on the side and that did elevate the taste. I ordered the pan seared salmon with crab fried rice. The salmon was crispy and cooked perfectly. The crab rice had a good flavor. My friends ordered the lobster carbonara and she said it tasted good. Overrall a great place to come and eat with friends.

This place is so whimsical and pretty. I wish it was ran better. They don't have liquor so you have to have mimosas or sangria. The servers are hard to come by. I enjoyed my food today. I won't be going back but its worth at least a try.

Amazing ambiance. Food is amazing. Service is also excellent. Thank you Susana for all your recommendations and amazing service. Will definitely be back!

A nice little Dominican oasis in Dyckman with an eclectic menu of bocaditos with fresh ingredients and zesty flavors. They have a nice variety of croquettes including goat cheese and almond croquettes bursting with flavor in addition to the typical jamon croquettes which are also on point. The tuna tostones and octopus ceviche were also very fresh. The truffle cheese empanadas were also tasty. The bocaditos menu has more variety than a lot of tapas places in midtown. The service on Thursday afternoon was prompt and courteous with no delay in food orders. La Fuerza cocktail was strong and fresh as was the Lychee bellini. The Rioja wine was very good with a generous pour. The ambiance was charming.

Came in today on a holiday and to my surprise they were offering brunch. I love when restaurants in NYC Offer brunch on holidays. It just makes my day. This place is super aesthetically pleasing and the food was very delectable. I found it super cute that they offered mock-tails as an option. I had the cucumber mule mock-tail and it was very refreshing and tasty. Now on to the food, I was definitely in the mood for brunch so French toast and turkey bacon was great for me. Y best friend had the mamas breakfast and she said it was one of the best mogul she had before. The waitress offered chicken empanadas as a starter and boy was she right. Amazing food, amazing ambiance and great service. I will def be back! Lastly I checked in once I arrived and was offered 15% off my check. Thanks

Arranged and celebrated a Sweet 16 Brunch and the planning went smoothly. The event was beautiful but bunch can be busy and the server was stretched a bit thin which affected time and service.

Johnny Bliss sang & transported patrons to another place along with his talented string partner, Fabio. The singers voice is unbelievably beautiful. A true gift to the ears. The inside was a tad dark, and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, which was to be expected given our large group size and the various other tables they had to attend to. The food, overall, was excellent, with this being the first Spain-ish (last time I'll use this bad joke) spot that reminded me of the Ironbound in Newark. In terms of drinks, they have the usual sangria, wines, sherry, and some standard cocktails, but I went with something that's not commonly found in the city. That was the Tinto de Verano, a refreshing mix of red wine and lemon soda, which I believe was around $12. This is a more local drink from Spain, and I was happy to see it here. They also have the Basque drink Kalimotxo, a mix of red wine and Coca-Cola, for $9. They gave us some bread to begin with, which was munched on and soon used with their delicious sauces. As for the rest of the food, we stuck primarily to tapas, aside from a paella. The first thing that arrived was unfortunately something that I couldn't eat, as I have a cephalopod allergy. This was the delicious-smelling Pulpo a la Gallega for $22, consisting of sliced boiled octopus with paprika, salt, and olive oil. The rest of the people loved it, and from serving it to some people, I could tell it was fork-tender. Outside of the pulpo, we got two other seafood tapas. The $16 Vieras a la Casuela, or scallop casserole with red & green peppers, paprika, and olive oil, was delicious. There were plenty of plump scallops with a mild sweetness accentuated by the olive oil and paprika. The $14 Gambas al Ajillo, or prawns in garlic & white wine, was also excellent. The shrimp were cooked very nicely, and the garlic flavor was as strong as it should be. One of the earlier things to arrive was, ironically, my least favorite. This was the $15 Pimientos de Piquillo Rellenos, or Piquillo peppers stuffed with tuna, egg, olives & vegetables. The dish was cool as expected, and while I liked the sauce, I didn't find the texture appealing. The flavor was a bit light for me as well. Next came an excellent version of Tortilla Española for $13, a Spanish omelette with potatoes & onions. A lot of the other Spanish places mess up the texture, but this was perfectly soft and tender. There were plenty of potatoes in there as well, with the onions only mildly cooked down, which added a little bite. There were also two dishes featuring Serrano ham. One was the tasty $13 Judías Salteadas con Jamón Serrano, or sautéed green beans with said ham. The green beans had a nice texture, and the salty ham added a pleasant bite. The other dish with this ham was the Garbanzos a la Española, which was slightly more expensive but also better. For $16, this consisted of roasted garbanzos sautéed with Serrano ham & chorizo. I was surprised I liked this more, as I usually don't like these beans much, but the mixture was very pleasant with the chorizo adding some nice spice. We also ordered two other dishes with chorizo. First was the excellent Huevos al Antojo for $16 with cottage fries, egg, grilled chorizo, and red peppers. This almost felt like a fancy breakfast option with the thin-cut cottage fries having a nice texture, especially when mixed with the runny fried egg. The chorizo and red peppers added a necessary spice to this dish. Otherwise, there was the simpler Chorizo al Vino, or chorizo in wine sauce, for $14. This was as good as can be expected for such a plain dish, but it was still tasty. Rounding out the tapas was the $9 Patatas Bravas, or spicy potatoes with a cooling white sauce, which was pretty good too. I've had this in plenty of places, and this was decent. I have liked the texture more in some other places, but it was still good and was plenty piquant. Our remaining main dish was the $48 Paella Valencia, which had a mix of seafood and meat. The seafood included one of my allergens, but they removed it, so I was fine eating that dish. Otherwise, I believe the remaining ingredients, aside from the spices and peppers, were mussels, clams, shrimp, scallops, chicken, and chorizo. All the seafood inside was cooked nicely, and the rice had a good flavor. This was an excellent paella, and the portion size was quite large, still served in the large vessel it was cooked in. The remaining dish was dessert, the $9 Tarta de Santiago, or Spanish almond cake, served with vanilla ice cream, which might have been an extra charge, but I'm not positive. The cake had a marzipan flavor and was lightly sweet. It was a satisfying end to the meal. We had a very good meal here. No particular favorites, as everything was very tasty overall.
