I recently had 2 new custom suits made and they came out great. Neil and Sanjay have many years of…read moreexperience and it shows. I have worked with several other custom/made to measure clothiers over the years and found HKT Clothiers to be the best. They are great with correctly taking the initial measurements and they also have a very good team of in house tailors for any final tweeks or adjustments. (And for later adjustments if you are like me and prone to gaining and losing weight). They also have an extensive range of cloth selections from all of the top English and Italian mills. If you take your suits seriously, this is the place to go.

This was my first time buying a MTM suit; not off the rack. I wear a suit every day at work... but…read moreI'm not impressed and not likely to return to HKT again. $4k for a made-to-measure suit. The experience felt closer to a used car dealership than a Bespoke Tailor experience you see in movies. Nine weeks after being fitted I was texted to come in and try on my suit. It needed adjustments so it was another 4-5 weeks to pick up my suit. No text this time... I had to call and see if the suit was ready. The suit is nice but I'm struggling to view this purchase as worth the hassle. Honestly, I'd rather have four or five good suits off the rack than one suit for this price. I am likely to purchase another MTM suit but my next purchase will be at Guffey's or another option. HKT missed an opportunity here to capture my repeat business.

I had my sewing machine for about 2 or 3 years and never really learned how to use it. I'd seen the…read moresewing studio on Groupon for a while and never went because the location was far. Once I moved I finally decided to check it out. I was very please with my first class so I decided to take two more. I thoroughly enjoyed every class and learned alot. I still feel like an amateur but I have much more knowledge than I started with. Kathy is very helpful and very patient. I wasn't sure what to expect in the class but I am so happy that I took the classes. My first class was the apron class, then pillows, then bags. As a beginner I would suggest Pillows first then apron, then bags. I havent taken the table toppers class yet so I cant speak on the difficulty level of that one. But if you are a beginner or even slightly advanced I'd suggest taking a class- you wont regret it.

My Brother sewing machine was gathering dust in the corner of my bedroom, so I was excited to see…read morethe Sewing Studio's LivingSocial deal for four beginner's classes. Just the excuse I needed to break out my machine and expend some crafty energy. I went in for my first class last Saturday - an apron-making class. About a week before the class, Kathy, the teacher, sent out a reminder email with directions and supplies lists. I drove around the block a few times before finding the old factory-style building tucked between all of the car dealerships on Peachtree Blvd. You know you're in for a warm and friendly experience when a sweet puppy named Capone greets you at the door with a wagging tail. Kathy was patient and knowledgeable. She walked us through the steps of the project without bogging us down with too many details, and did a fantastic job of fielding our questions as we moved through each step. She made a point of teaching each student about her machine (no chicos attended this particular class...what dude doesn't want a cute apron?!) and she cheerfully helped us when we got caught up on the most mundane and tedious steps. Halfway through the class I realized that I had purchased single fold bias tape instead of the double fold which was needed for the project, but she had all of the supplies for sale on site. She had all of the basic sewing supplies (fabric, scissors, pin cushions, needles, etc.), as well, which was extremely helpful for those who were unable to get to the store before class. I was so pleased with the outcome of my first project! The stitching was wonky in a few places, but I felt very accomplished. In fact, I went out the next day and purchased more fabric to make one on my own. I'm so grateful to Kathy and the Sewing Studio for helping me get acquainted with my sewing machine! I think that this will be a worthwhile friendship. I'm looking forward to my next class in a few weeks!
