The turnaround time is insane... like weeks for simple alterations. I understand they're busy but 3 week average to get something back?! I went in to add some fabric to a garment and they told me they couldn't do it. I told them what they needed to do- if I had a sewing machine and knew how to sew, I'd do it myself but that's why I came to them. They ended up understanding what I needed when I tried on the garment and showed them so at least they did the job but wow I wish there were other nearby places because this is not ideal. I also needed a cashmere cardigan hemmed and they said they were unable to work on cashmere. Strange.... read more

All I can say is Tess works magic. Cost me $60 but needed $125 worth of alterations!! I ordered a slim and the jacket was in fact a slim, the pants were not. I waited 3 weeks for a top to be taken in about 2" on both sides. I paid $15 when I dropped it off assuming she would do a good job. I picked it up 3 weeks later. A dress nightmare turned into a dream at Tess' Alterations. I had gone to another place and had my wedding dress altered. The other place had messy lines and the dress was still not fitted, the bustle was off and looked tacky, the bust area of my dress was huge. And to top it all off this was 4 days before my wedding. I came into Tess' shop asking for help and explaining the situation. She understood and went out of her way to make this happen in such short notice. That day she said she was going to stay late into the night to have the dress ready by my wedding. She ended up having it ready in two days just in time to have it ready for the wedding. She listened to what I wanted fixed and asked me if I liked it. Just with her pinning the dress I could tell Tess was a true professional. Tess and her shop saved my dress. I'm forever thankful and would recommend her to anyone. I wish I went here to begin with. The shop is very professional and they truly care for their work. The day I went to try it on before I left you could not wipe the smile off of my face because it was perfectly how I envisioned the dress.
