I messaged them on Facebook about having to repair an old Army Gore-Tex jacket I've had for 20 years. At first they told me it could be repaired. Which is fine but I explained to them it didn't have to be perfect. I just wanted it repaired to be worn again. They said their would have to hand sew it. Which was fine with me. It was pricier than expected however we live in an era where everything had gone up. I gave them 4 stars because of their confidence level when I first messaged them. Went in with 2 items, a jacket with a broken zipper and a sweater than needed hemming. Told me it couldn't be fixed. I explained how to hem the sweater that my mom was a seamstress that doesn't live here anymore. I was told that was weird to do that and can't be done. I found this young unqualified man's comment to be offensive to try to cover up a lack of skills. I ended up going somewhere else that had no issues fixing my items. My favorite jacket is now fixed and I have a beautiful hemmed sweater to wear to work. read more

THEY BASICALLY STOLE OUR MONEY!!! My daughter took her dress to get altered and they sewed it too tight compared to how they pinned it. They undid the original stitches, still had the straps too tight leaving a mark on my daughter's shoulders after she retried the dress. The bad thing is they had the dress for 3 weeks and the guy told us the seamstress literally sewed the dress that morning of her try on, which means she probably rushed it and sewed too much on each side. They refused to cut the price and basically blamed my daughter for the dress not fitting which insinuated she had gained weight within the 3 weeks. I can tell you she DID NOT gain weight. My daughter was so upset she refused to let them touch her dress again and we basically paid $200 for nothing. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DRESSES THERE!!! I have been coming here for years, and was really happy with the service. Prices were a bit higher, but it was worth it. Stopped by yesterday & was greeted by a young man. It seems he's Vina's nephew & is the new owner. The woman doing the alterations doesn't speak English, so he translated (no issue there). I had a skirt I wanted hemmed...an inch. She pins it up, I change...she explains something to him, and she's indicating the skirt's lining. He begins explaining that the "first layer will be $30, and the 2nd..." I cut him off. $30? To hem a skirt???? and more bc of the lining? Began taking pins out, while explaining I paid $20 for the skirt...I'll wear it long before I pay over 30 to have it hemmed. Sadly, I will not be back. The prices were higher before, but this was really over the top. Went to the husband's tailor...much cheaper. read more

IF I could leave a ZERO as the rating, I certainly would!!! If you are AGAINST racism, & hatred, PLEASE DO NOT spend money here!!! This woman REFUSED me service today!! I went in to have my under garment, (faja) taken in, bc it's gotten too large,....and she IMMEDIATELY told me, "No!" "I can't do that?!" I asked, "Why not,....is this not a service you provide?" She said, "It won't look good?!" I said, "Excuse me, but it's an UNDER GARMENT?!" "I don't honestly care what it looks like, because it'll be UNDER my clothes?!" She then went on to say, "Ok, well $18!" So, I said, "Fine,....where do I get undressed?" And she goes, "You have to bring it back, washed,...I can't alter it bc you have it on?!" Ummm,...."HELLO HERE?!" "WASHED?!" As if to imply that I or it was dirty?!! I would've even understood her concerns, if I weren't wearing underwear, or a bra, but nope....that wasn't the case, (not like she even bothered asking) & so there is NO EXCUSE to deny my service....(a service in which I called in a week ago just to VERIFY that she'd provide that service, & it was CLEARLY confirmed....otherwise, I would've gone to Atlanta or Tucker where I KNOW it's HIGHLY REQUESTED & PROVIDED, but I chose this place bc it had good reviews, and it's close....smh...a COMPLETE waste of time & energy) now moving on,......I IMMEDIATELY asked her, "How do you make alterations to an item to fit tailored to a person's physique WITHOUT ALTERING IT WHILE IT'S ON THEM?!!!!!!" I have never been to a place that does better alternations than here. She is very patient and takes her time to make sure you get EXACTLY what you want. I once brought a sports uniform top to her that two other alternations places said that couldn't fix she fixed it and it looked FLAWLESS! Great prices, great alterations, and great people. Reasonable pricing, excellent quality. I took so much clothing to Vina for alterations, and was pleased every time. Absolutely the best!!!!
