Ate here twice and both times were amazing! Our waiters have consistently been amazing and attentive! The food itself is authentic and quality. They also have a menu of the day for 15 euros where you are able to select a drink (my personal favorite is Tinto de Verano) an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert! I highly recommend the croquettes, the Caesar salad (which is not actually a Caesar salad but it was ABSOLUTELY delicious), the iberian cheek, the apple tart, and the tortilla de patatas! They have these window seats that make you feel like you are sitting outside but you are inside which I love! Took my mom out for her birthday here and overall it was a good experience! The service was slow and the waiter was on his phone a lot, but honestly, he was so pretty we didn't care. The salmorejo was delicious, the olive oil used in it was so light and it was chilled to a perfect temperature. The salmon/mango/avocado salad was also very good and the salmon seemed fresh, though I'm not much of a salmon person anyway so it wasn't quite up my alley. Still, my mom loved it! The paella was overall good. I found the rice to be a little too soft, and the fishiness was definitely present in a way that I'm not sure was ENTIRELY good but also wasn't really bad. The seafood itself was abundant and in great variety. Altogether, a beautiful view and decent food made this a good experience. read more

Genova is on one of the main pedestrian avenues of Sevilla, where the tram goes by. The tapas I had were quite filing. The potato salad (3.5 EUR) was basically cold mashed potatoes, but made creamy and with one shrimp. No potato chunks like in the US. This was so heavy that a light eater could have just this big scoop of potato for dinner. It's served with caviar on top. The vegetarian paella was also creamy and heavy, with parmesan and mushrooms added. The papas bravas (3.2 EUR) had plenty of the red sauce - yes! Tried squid with hummus and aioli (3.8 EUR), fresh taste. Choco blanco mousse was so light and with strawberry glaze and whipped cream. This spot is good for coffee, drinks, tapas and just hanging out. read more

Heard great things about Genova from friends and was excited to try it! Ordered the goat cheese salad with balsamic vinaigrette, roasted nuts, and a very interesting glaze that I've never tried before. It was incredible and the heartiest servings of goat cheese I've ever seen on a salad! The presentation was beautiful as well. In addition to the salad I had a small tapa of the house croquettes. They weren't as good as some others I've had, but a good complement to the salad. The sangria was delicious and the pitchers went very quickly! Great location and beautiful restaurant. Having literally gained 5 pounds from eating way to much of the delicious tapas in Seville, I stopped at this place for my last meal until I moved on to the next city. It. Was. Amazing! Fresh and a great view. Right on the Main Street but still quiet. I had tuna tataki and the salmon mango salad. I will dream of this salad for many days to come. A place to get money from tourists. They charge 10% gratuity and terrace service! This may be standard in other countries (I live in the US) but definitely not in Spain! TLDR: Good location to people watch and rest after walking all of Seville. However the food and its price is soso. I would recommend just chilling here with a glass (or pitcher) of nice cold Sangria but go elsewhere for lunch as there are better tapas places nearby. We ordered the iberico pork cheeks which was not as tender or tasty as the one we had elsewhere yesterday. The black ink spaghetti was unimpressive. The paella tapas and salmon tataki was decent but nothing to shout home about. Note: If you sit at the terrace they charge you 15% for the shade (cubierto on bill). Also like the other reviewer said, the terrace female waitress wasn't the most friendly to Asian women. Although I speak perfect English she would speak to me in Spanish even for ok. Great little tapas bar by the Seville Cathedral. We sat outside and enjoyed a few glasses of wine - a Rioja and an Albariño. Both very good. We had some broiled potatoes with a Sevilla spicy sauce on them - excellent. They also gave us fresh bread and a cracker mix - both complimentary. Well, we got charged for it and when we said we were told it was free, they said we were being charged for the service instead of the bread!!! And we ordered cod confit and pointed directly to it on the menu. Instead we got the duck confit and said it wasn't what we ordered. The waiter returned it to the kitchen but brought it back to the table again and said the chef said it was cod confit. Again, we said that cod doesn't have wing bones and to bring us what we ordered. After we were done with everything else, the cod finally came. With so menu restaurants in the same vicinity, don't go through the trouble of trying to deal with the staff here. read more

This restaurant is amazing! The staff are super nice and incredibly helpful. Our server, Gissele, was AMAZING! One of the people in our group has a milk allergy, and she was very helpful and made sure to let us know what had milk and what didn't. Super amazing. And the food was so good!! I got the burger, and it tasted amazing. My friend got the shrimp paella, and it was spectacular! Everyone was sharing and it tastes great. 5/5!
