Doesn't look like much when you walk by however what they lack in showmanship they make up in quality, experience and knowledge. Took my 5 hour class here and in my head I pictured myself falling asleep however the class is interactive and very very interesting. It keeps you awake and attentive. My driving instructor was Joeuburt and he was very informed on any questions I had. He made sure I felt comfortable in the drivers seat, told me the basics and made sure the practice was consistent. If you do end up trying this school ask for JOEUBURT. I passed on my first try and it was everything he taught me. Their cars are a little old but good enough for beginners to understand and drive. The SOLE instructor has manner of speaking that I did not respond well to. At the first 45 minute lesson he barked at me for 40 minutes and I drove 5 minutes. On the second lesson he barked at me for the entire lesson even when nothing was really the matter. Furthermore, like a hostage, he MADE me take a picture of the QR code after the first lesson to give him a good review. This was the first red flag and looking back this should've been reason enough to pull out. read more

Really stupid some questions at the end of chapter test aren't stuff that is even covered in the actual chapter and if you fail a simple test you have to re take the chapter all over again idk how they expect people to actually finish all 19 chapter like this and some lessons you don't even go to the time required so you have to sit there for what ever time you have left. The driving school in itself isn't bad. When you call there customer service isn't bad and they provide the information you need. They send out reminders of your next upcoming appointment and call you if your driver is waiting for you. HOWEVER, my experience on today (12/10/2020) has tainted my taste for this school entirely. I was waiting outside in front of my building for the driver to show as I've done for the past 5 lessons. The school called to inform the driver was outside. I explained to the lady the driver could not have been because I've been standing outside for the past 5mins. The lady asks me to hold, which I did. She came back and asked for my exact location. I gave her the information and she proceeded to place me on another hold. When she returned she said the driver wants me to walk down and locate him. He was a block and a half down from me but I asked will I get this time back since he's not on time and at the correct location. She said they don't dock time so I proceeded even though I was pissed that he couldn't just meet me in front of my building since he was at the wrong location. I get to the driver side of the car and the driver nastily said "go on the other side". I walk to the passenger side and opened the door. He then proceeded to say "do me a favor and close my door back" I closed it back and he said to ask for my money back and drove off. I called the school and told them what he said and the lady nonchalantly said ok the money will be back on your card. The service shown today only diminishes the school's reputation and the first 5 great experiences I had. My first two instructors were a blessing. What a fantastic experience! I finally got my license September 3rd. I am a 38 year old who has be renewing my permit for 20 YEARS! When the time came for a road test I was always way too nervous (terrified?) to go through with it. This time EVERYTHING was different. First, Colon is amazing. He made the five hour class fly by and he really taught us strategies and safety procedures. I once went to a 5 hour class where they spent 5 hours discussing how you shouldn't drink or do drugs if you are going to drive and showing horrifying movies about it. It was legitimately traumatized by it and didn't even think about driving for another 13 years. Fuzion managed to undo that. Imagine? Colon was fantastic, and funny and smart. Perfect. My instructor is Jesse. The world would be a better place if more people had the patience of this man. He is kind, caring and professional as well as good company. Today I attended the 5hr class with Mr Colin and I'm not easily impressed. I enjoyed this class from beginning to end. First time I took a 5hr zoom class that was so engaging from beginning to end. Mr Colin drilled into us all the necessary information we need up to set us up for success. My class was from 6p to 10p and we all stood an additional 30 mins asking questions and just talking and giving Mr Colin all the praise. He is extremely relatable, funny, knowledgeable, and personable. In the end I wanted him as many other personally to be my driving instructor for the classes. Unfortunately he is retired but he personally trained the driver instructors. Shout out to Mr Henderson as well for his part in what we learned. Thank you both. Highly recommended. read more

This driving school in Brooklyn had the most reviews so figured that I would give it a try. Just taking refresher lessons since i'm a bit rusty. This review is just based on customer service since that was the main criticism in the reviews below. Having called the office twice I encountered two females - the first female was incredibly helpful, pleasant and patient (an older lady than the second), the second female (sounded a bit younger - called on a Friday) was abrupt and had a hurried / impatient demeanor with a tinge of condescension / attitude in her voice. As a girl who once had an immense fear of driving and who has also just passed her road test last Friday, I can say that Fuzion Driving School rocks! My driving teacher was Joseph and he was awesome. Always punctual, friendly, and most of all, patient, especially when I made mistakes. He went above and beyond to ensure that I was prepared for my road test. As far as Fuzion goes, I also love that they pick you up from your house for each lesson so I never had to go far and could never be late (definitely bonus points). The dreaded 5 hour class (which I took after work, which is great because they're really accommodating with hours) was also entertaining and, dare I say, even fun at times. I enjoyed Fuzion Driving School so much that I recommended them to other friends who are looking to get their licenses too. Fuzion driving school rate 4/10 - now to anyone planning to goto the this school I advise you VERY strongly on the following things 1. Availability is horrible i swear to God if you expect to get your license i advise to schedule your road test a month ahead of time and get your lessons that same week in order to have open availability 2. I'm surprised they are allowed to teach driving considering I've taken the road test 3 times and failed (Mind you I am a quick learner and as soon as I went to another school I passed first try) on my way to road tests on numerous occasions they don't lead by example and drive as how they teach us 3. Expect to use a different car on the road test then you were trained with (I promise I've saved you) 1. They are not teenager or first time driver friendly they will just keep telling you what to do and not give you any techniques on how to fix your issue effectively 4. The office in my opinion is very discouraging as well, in my opinion its a work in progress 5. And If any environmental issues come up they won't work with you to aid your confidence on your test,in my opinion if its is an issue on the road where the customer isn't at fault they should rearrange lesson schedule to accommodate for customer satisfaction 6. I truly believe that this driving school has some of the best instructors in Brooklyn. I had both Stella and Miguelito as my instructors and they were nothing less than perfect. They did an incredible job over preparing me for my test, which was a piece of cake. I would recommend this school to individuals who are looking for patience, professionalism and last but not least skilled instructors. On another note, the office is a different story (notice I rated them 4/5 stars instead of 5/5). The women at the front desk appear to be knowledgeable, but a bit disorganized. There were times when I would call regarding my package and the staff wouldn't know specific answers (I.e forgetting to cancel a lesson when I had an emergency the day before, not being able to tell me how many lessons I had left). I chose this school because it had the most user friendly website out of all the Brooklyn schools I looked at. I passed my road test in Aug of this year (didn't take the road test through this school) having both Stella (who said she's leaving) and Joeubert. You should take lessons with all the instructors available at whatever school you go to and THEN chose with whom you want to do the rest of your lessons. Everyone teaches differently so you could pick up different things from each instructor and also figure out who you vibe with better. The 5 hour class from this school (taught by Stella) was phenomenal: her humor, drawings and scenarios were superb. Now to explain the reason why this place doesn't deserve 5 stars has to do with the administration and not the instructors. 1) The website stated they go to other boroughs for the road test for a fee but after buying my package and having done half of my lessons, they told me that they do NOT go to other borough road sites besides Brooklyn. I went in wanting to do my road test in Staten Island so I was heavily mislead. You can still see on their website promoting they go to other boroughs. 2) Because I was a brand new driver, the ease of their website blinded me from seeing how expensive the lessons are: $45 a lesson is a lot and it's b/c they pick you up...I wish I had gone to the plenty of cheaper schools in Queens or Bay Ridge where the lessons are $35 each. I don't need to be picked up; I'm ok w/ commuting to the school if it means I save. 3) I paid for 36 lessons (12 last summer and 24 this summer); no one I knew paid for that many lessons but it's b/c I was very nervous---I went overboard. I gave that school so much business b/c most ppl take 7-10 lessons. I made a honest mistake of scheduling four of these 36 LESSONS (I had to take two lessons at a time since I lived "farther") on my brother's birthday weekend at 9AM when I thought I scheduled them at 1PM bc I knew I'd be staying out late. The 2 lessons on Saturday I was able to cancel the day of but they wouldn't let me reschedule the one on Sunday b/c it was less than 24 hours. I called on Saturday at NOON to change it and bc the lessons were scheduled on Sunday at 9AM and thus technically less than 24 hours, the woman wouldn't let me change it or reschedule it. Being a caring human being is what makes a business great, esp to someone who has given them SO MUCH money and requested just this one thing and it was STILL the day before the appointment even though it's not technically "24 hours." I wanted some compassion but I got opposite of that. I wanted to get my refund that very weekend b/c of that incident but they told me I would need to pay full price for everything since I got a package deal, so I just continued the remaining of my 36 lessons, let them keep my road test fee, and used LAMA school in Bay Ridge to take my test in Staten Island. read more

Im actually surprised this school has such positive reviews because my experience was lackluster. & im saying just that to be nice. But I'm going to explain the series of events to what lead to me actually writing a review to warn others. I have a full time job so the times I'm readily available are after 6pm. Knowing that this can cause a problem, I called this school before booking my first set of two lessons to make sure they have classes after 6pm. I was told they have slots up until 8 pm. So I went ahead and booked two classes. When the day came for my first class, the instructor was running late so I opted to just do a double the next day. My first initial experience with my instructor, Andrew, the next day was ehh. When the lesson first began he seemed like he would rather be somewhere else than at his job but I still had enthusiasm and was ready for the lesson. He wasn't the best but wasn't the worst. He eventually did develop a better attitude during the lesson so I went ahead and booked more lessons. The next day when I called to schedule the actual lessons, there was an available slot that same afternoon at 6 with Andrew ( I was also told his last day is like the 31st & that I would eventually need a new instructor) so I booked the lesson. THE LESSON WAS HORRIBLE. he kept his head down the whole time, would just mumble directions under his breath & act rude when I asked a question. He occasionally took deep breaths when I asked a question as if he was annoyed and laughed to himself at some point. If he didn't want to be there, he should have just said that over wasting both our times. I had to ask on several occasions what was he even saying. After this lesson, I called the school and asked for a new instructor & explained my experience. I was told that they were busy, booking into November but I would be "squeezed" in. I said okay because I was okay with getting booked in November. The earlier the better but it was just whatever. The next day I called and asked if my schedule has been made up yet for the classes I booked. All of a sudden because I don't want a particular instructor after I was told Andrew was leaving anyway, that its hard to "squeeze me in" but they still working on it. Then the next day, I was told that they no longer have classes after 6 & they would just refund my money. They are getting a star just because they are giving me a refund. I really got my time & money wasted cause all I learned with the three lessons I had was how to drive straight. so yes buyer beware read more

(I've had my permit for 8 years and had driven a bit before, but was not a proficient driver). I took the 5-hour driving course and 6 classes with Colin, one of the head instructors. He was fantastic -- a stickler for the rules, a clear communicator and he sprinkled a bit of humor into every session. I approached my road test with confidence in the fact that I knew all of the basics, and trust in Colin that he would have told me if I needed more practice to pass. So I've gone to other schools before and never learned how to drive. Let me tell you this is the best one I've gone to in Brooklyn by FAR!!! The instructors are patient and will take the time to explain everything you need to know. Being honest I've never had anyone actually go over all the buttons in the car and car maintenance etc... Great for first time drivers. I took my road test 4times and failed with the other schools I went to and I took my road test for the 5th time today and was so discouraged thinking I'd never pass. I just remembered what my instructors taught me and everything was a success. Go see JOSEPH B or Stella they are the absolute best teachers ever. I give Stella, my instructor, 10 stars for excellence!!! The staff of the school is a different story. Read below. The positives: I absolutely LOVED Stella, my instructor. She is so patient, calm, and clear in all of her instruction. Everything she taught, whether a small detail or not, was practical and useful. It all added to me learning what it meant to be a SAFE and aware driver. The tools and techniques she taught me for parallel parking were on point and I thought parallel parking was going to be my downfall! She kept me on track and made sure I was mastering everything she was teaching me. I couldn't have been paired up with a better instructor. The negatives: The staff needs MUCH better training by the manager. I couldn't take the 5 hour pre licensing course because the days they had them were on days I worked. I had called to see if it was possible to get the pre licensing course (also asked if I could get the car for the driving test credited as a lesson - another confirmed yes by staff) credited as a driving lesson to which they said yes to repeatedly. Little did I know I was being told the wrong information for almost a month! I received a phone call after three weeks telling me that I couldn't be credited. I asked how I could be held responsible for being told the wrong info. It was a, "miscommunication", according to the manager (male). Yet I had called repeatedly to be sure I was hearing things correctly. My last three scheduled lessons were cancelled last minute by the office, leaving me very upset but even worse, Stella, my instructor, lost three hours of potential pay. They completely mishandled a error on their part and even worse, didn't take responsibility for the face that they caused Stella to lose money she could have made. Some of these bad reviews could be completely negated if they would train staff better. read more

I originally started taking lessons with Jesse last year. He was a Great instructor! He taught me the basics of driving and, he helped with my confidence behind the wheel. Last summer I took my five hour class with Mr. Collin. He was not only able to teach me a large amount of information, but he also made his lesson fun at the same time. I stopped taking lessons for a few months. I eventually scheduled my road test, so I took some lessons to refresh myself. My new instructors name was Stella. Stella really helped me get on ball when it came to driving. She was extremely encouraging, and very helpful. Stella drove me to take my test today, and she made me feel comfortable although I was extremely nervous. I'm happy to say that on December 12th, 2014, I passed my test on first try. Thank you so much Fuzion Driving School. You guys are awesome. I would also like to commend the woman who organizes the lessons, road tests, books appointments, and answers the phone. Booked a lesson with them, paid in advance and was told the driver would pick me up at my house. When I went outside at my scheduled time there was no one there. I called the office and the receptionist said she was going to call me back. Waited 10 minutes, heard nothing. Called back again and she said it went to the drivers voicemail so there wasn't anything she could do. This was a service I had already paid for and I get that delays happen but I expressed how frustrating this was considering I had another appointment right after this and couldn't push it back. She said she would try calling the driver again. Waited 10 more minutes, still nothing. I waited outside for over 20 minutes and the instructor never showed up. I'm taking my drivers test next week and wanted to brush up on the basics but clearly fuzion is not a reliable driving school and I'm upset that I wasted my time with them. I bought a package (which I highly recommend) and after attending Colin's 5 hour pre-licensing class I was highly motivated to be on the road. Colin makes this compulsory class entertaining AND educational. My driving instructor Jesse is the best! After every lesson I walked away with specific rules about the road and my wheels ENGRAINED in my brain. Jesse gave me the confidence to be back on the road. During my road test his voice (which played in my head, reminding me: hand over hand, GSW, signal-look-look) guided me to receiving my license with just 10 points. First and foremost the customer service is lousy and the "managers" need lessons in being to able to service their customers accordingly. One of their female managers is snide and arrogant and doesn't even let patrons of the business get a word in when discussing pertinent business matters. This business is staffed by very disorganized and unethical people who do not take responsibility for their own actions. I registered for a class with them and when I showed up for the class, it was canceled and I wasn't given any notice of the cancelation. Their policy is to penalize students who break their policy but when they make a mistake, they take no responsibility and provide no best attempt to make good on their mistake. My son passed his road test yesterday on the 1st try. Fuzion is a great driving school. I signed my son up for driving lessons on a Saturday he stayed there to take his 5 hour class, which he actually enjoyed. The owner is an awesome guy. My son would always say how great his driving instructor Joseph was. Joseph was always on time for scheduled lessons. Fuzion would always work around my sons crazy work/school schedule. THE GOOD: *The fact that the instructors pick you up from home is incredibly convenient and helps you save time. *Their prices seem very competitive for the area. *The five hour class seemed as painless as that sort of thing can be. *Ikanke is an AMAZING instructor whose method I found to be very informative and encouraging. He really seems to know the test inside out, and can give a lot of great pointers. I credit passing to a last minute lesson with him. THE NOT SO GOOD *As some commenters have noted, the service from the office is not the best. There is a young woman in the office who is very pleasant and professional. The older woman who occasionally answers the phone is more brusque, and I can see that turning some people off. However, it was never a big issue. *I previously mentioned my praise for Ikanke. Before Ikanke, I had another instructor - a very friendly teacher who seemed to truly want me to succeed. Unfortunately, this other instructor's system was not effective for me at all. After several weeks of classes, I realized that while I had improved in my driving, it was primarily through repeated exposure to the road rather than effective teaching by my instructor. The instructor had several unhelpful and, I think, nonsensical systems that overcomplicated the driving method and didn't teach me anything. Shortly before my road test, I switched to Ikanke. I don't want to call out the instructor here because he/she was a very kind person. However, I will recommend to potential drivers that they specifically request Ikanke! I started taking lessons with Fuzion about a month before my road test and on (9/28/2016) I passed with only 5 points. I wouldn't have done so well without the help from my amazing instructors Joseph B, Stella, and Joeubert. Today, Christmas Eve 2015, I FINALLY PASSED MY ROAD TEST. I had over 35 hours of driving lessons from another school and it was almost as if I had learned nothing...Each time I took the exam (3 times before I passed, I passed on the fourth attempt), I kept making the same mistakes. From day 1 when I switched from another school to Fuzion, my experience was excellent. The receptionist was kind, accommodating, insightful, and matched my needs and learning style with who she felt would be the best teacher for me. His name was Ikanke, and he was excellent (His name actually translates to 'There's Nothing God Can't do'--which was 100% true. His kindness, intelligence, calmness,patience, and articulation of each step of the driving process made me feel confident and capable of improving my skills and FINALLY passing my road test.
