The music and drinks were great! I definitely recommend this place and would come back!

Went here for my cousin's birthday and had a great time! The host was nice and even offered us a shot to celebrate. Great experience overall

UPDATE 8/15/26: Jenny personally reached out regarding my experience and apologized for what happened. She was very responsive and understanding as well as provided me her direct contact info and promptly issued the refunds. I really appreciate that she took my concerns seriously and made the effort to resolve the situation. I genuinely respect how Jenny handled the situation afterward. My concerns were addressed quickly and I saw her willingness to make things right. Customer service & how businesses respond (when something goes wrong) is a big deal to me and her response completely changed my impression of the situation. I have updated my rating to reflect how professionally everything was handled and I would definitely give Fuze a 2nd chance in the future. 8/14/26: I would give this place zero stars if I could. I went to this place for my cousin's bday only to get stopped by this girl at the front and was told that I needed to pay $30 to enter. My brother got stopped by the same girl and was charged $20, while everyone else in our group entered free of charge. There was no clear explanation as to why we were charged different amounts or why others in our group were not charged at all. The inconsistent cover charges are extremely concerning and unacceptable. I legit paid $30 believing it was required for entry only to find out others were admitted for free. I am requesting a full refund of the $30 that I was charged and a full explanation for why different ppl of the same group were charged different amounts. If you plan to wander around DTSJ, I suggest you avoid this place at all costs. read more

I have only visited this establishment during the night time. Very friendly security staff members. Pretty shmedium size area downstairs with a full bar and their own list of specialty cocktails. Free entry when I have gone here so far. I need to come back and try their food! read more

Had the absolute WORST experience here!!! I was here for an event upstairs and they didn't allow me to bring in my water bottle and CONFISCATED IT! Yet all the other attendees who came in after me were able to bring theirs in. When confronted they said it was "policy" but is it really policy if I am the only one being targeted here? The owner, Jenny Wolfes, was aggressive and rude, her tone was harsh, and she was absolutely the worst to interact with. She promised me water will be supplied upstairs but there was no cups available until I alerted my management to speak to her. Absolutely the most horrific experience i've ever had with any staff member in any establishment. Her bouncer Fabien was not any better. Horrible experience. Will not be coming back here ever. Responding to Jessica's reply: Hi Jessica, I want to clarify one very important point in your response: I did not yell at your staff. I was understandably frustrated and questioned why the policy was being enforced against me when other attendees were allowed to bring in their water bottles, but I did not yell at anyone. I find it concerning that instead of addressing the inconsistency I experienced, your response characterizes me as yelling at your staff. That is not an accurate representation of what happened. I also never disputed that Fuze has a no-outside-beverage policy. My complaint was about the inconsistent enforcement of that policy and the fact that I was told water would be available upstairs after my bottle was confiscated, yet there were no cups available until my management intervened. If this policy is truly enforced for "all events and attendees," then I think it's reasonable for a customer to ask why other attendees entering after me were permitted to bring their water bottles inside. I'm happy to stand by my review based on my firsthand experience, but I don't appreciate having my behavior inaccurately characterized in a public response. read more

I've walked past this place a few times before and I should go back more often! I had no idea they could hold private events in the back and that is such a great idea to be able to hold an intimate event. I feel like with the new age or air bnbs and such that people forget clubs can be held as venue spaces also! Def would recommend checking them out. read more

It's Saturday night and downtown is buzzing. Favorite spot was booked so decided to come into fuzz and check it out. No line so we got in right away. Walked up to the bar and ordered a drink with rum, coconut and pineapple. The drink was good, but the service not so much. read more

Definitely come here if you want to have a good time. I randomly stumbled upon a post about an event at fuze, so I thought I would go since it was a Friday night. The moment I got in, it was crazy (in a good way) and I definitely recommend this experience for anyone who's looking for a good time. read more

I would like to update this as quickly As Jenny got back to me on the rough ending to our night. She immediately took accountability for the actions of the security personnel and validated the sore feelings left with our group. Had he done that the other night, I'd Have probably never wrote a substandard review. Just wanted to say there are plenty of businesses that don't even respond to reviews but this response was immediate and I (we) really appreciate it. Simply correcting the behavior to prevent it from happening again is appreciated. She was excellent and I have changed my review to represent the time we had the event versus sour grapes over the way it ended. Thanks Jenny, the teachers do TGIF events from time to time and we will definitely try to make it back. Much appreciated. read more

They randomly apply cover charges to people and don't have a set price. It can be $30, $25, $20. The people in front of me entered without a charge. Then I was charged with someone behind me. Then a new group entered and they didn't charge them. Note that there didn't seem to be a special event that night to warrant any cover fees nor was the venue particularly packed at the time, I could've easily counted the number of people in the room. This was honestly so shady. I have no words because when I left and came back around the corner about an hour later, no cover charges to be found and the venue was starting to get packed. Describing the process: the whole setup was insane as it looked like 2 random people pulling up nearby tables at the inner front entrance, made a random square account, and charged people on their phones. Not wearing any visible signs attire that shows they were staff, manually inputting dollar amount to charge, and no explanation/signage on pricing or coverage needed. When I confronted them about the unfair charging process and inquired about how they are doing this, they brushed me off. This completely ruined my night and I had only 1 foot in the door. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this venue. The place was extremely filthy, with visible dirt and grime throughout. There was no air conditioning, making the already uncomfortable environment even worse. The upstairs toilets were clogged and unusable, and there was no toilet paper available. Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance of this venue are severely lacking. I strongly believe the health department should visit and conduct an inspection to address these serious issues. I cannot recommend this place in its current condition. Let me also say we rented the venue for a memorial for a family member who passed away. You would think they would have cleaned the place !!! read more

This is for security 8/1/2025 Got to the venue for an event that was upstairs security asked if i was here for the wedding festivity and I said no and I needed to get upstairs- he was hesitant to let me in and told me the entrance was the door next door which were stairs. I had a stroller with me and I needed the elevator and he said something about someone is supposed to escort me in. That's weird... why would I need to be escorted in? He made it seem like I had to take the door with the stairs only. So he finally lets me in... it left a bad taste in my mouth about your staff and how they treat people. The couple before me who were white had ID's checked and walked in easily. Why was I being held back for some minutes trying to get into an event thrown by us? Was i being profiled? Who knows Train your staff better- i felt like I was being judged by this guy like I was going to sneak into the wedding festivity downstairs. The bartender with the tattoo said $6.00 and i was confused as to why I was being charged so so walked away when i double checked if the soda was hosted which it was. I got my drink and i took a sip and it had alcohol in it/ what would have happened if i ordered the drink and gave it to a kid? Because we had kids at this event. Aside all that- the lady I assume who was the coordinator that day was nice. UPDATE: Jessica reached out and she made sure to correct things. 5 stars for her and very professional. Would come back To the venue still read more

They're a scam. They will charge randomly and the music was shit. Been here for years and mid pandemic they switch up. If you're buzzed they'll try to scam. Damian the security guard with glasses is a scam. Said after we paid the cover he recommended other places bc the vibe is whack. Said it was a promoter night but it was dead. No one was dancing and ppl looked bored. And the inconsistency of charge. Some ppl went in for free. Or if you didn't pay the charge and stood there for a while they let you in bc of how dead it was. Place is trash, go elsewhere. Dj sucks. This place trending down hill. Literally avoid. read more

Security guards are awful. No space in this place to walk. Plays the same 4 Bay Area songs every other song. Terrible choice for night life.

Good music, weird vibe. ended up leaving early because of the expensive drinks and too few people. no cover fee on a saturday so that's a bonus. bring a group for sure, don't expect to meet friends here read more

We had our reception at FUZE after our LGBTQIA+ Wedding at the SJ Rosegarden. We initiated contact with Jenny after posting to a forum site looking for vendors who would work with us with our very tight budget as we were planning for ourselves. We were permitted to use outside vendors for food because of my partners severe nut allergy we had to ask for special handling and in most venues it is required to use their food with no guarantee of this. This is also a woman owned/run business, which was important to us. On the night of we arrived and Jenny was doing Bar service for our guests until he bartender arrived and she continued to bring us drinks to keep our merriment going. The Patio was softly lit, Jenny helps us put out paper lanterns and grab bags for our guests, and she gave us chips to hand out for the two rounds of drinks we were providing. She coordinated with our caterer for delivery and pick up. She even placed a security guard after a patron outside our party crashed out dancing line - every wedding has a crasher right? Our guests had ample seating and appeared to relax, and we danced to the DJ she booked for us, he contacted us for our music preferences and took playlists we made and created a hell of a dance party! We left feeling lighter than air and our guests all had so much fun, they even cried best wedding ever! read more

told me it doesn't matter if someone is disabled or for some reason can't drive, ppl who enter need a drivers license. had a government issued ID accepted by every institute/ venue in SJ but passport card was not valid with them. This place actually gets pretty lit after 11 PM. The DJ always plays the best songs and mixes. The vibes here are pretty chill, but I think it's extremely stupid that they try to charge five dollars for water. The rooftop is probably the best place to hang. read more

This was a nice bar I came to for a work event. The inside is large and roomy, more of a club scene location. The bartender was friendly and welcoming. The decor looked fairly new, and they were attentive to everyone's needs. If I were into the clubbing scene I would come here, but it is a wonderful site to host work events. They have a nice little patio area and there is $10 parking right by. There are some local eateries like Scratch, and who wouldn't love that! read more

Weird ass bar. We bought "after party" tickets and they didn't let our friend in even though she had her ticket and her ID. i've never experienced this in San Jose. It was a first time coming here with the family. We had a horrible time and the alcohol was expired from a year ago, we informed the manager who said that they would swap them out with new ones, yet the beers were expired again. The food was amazing but the manager in charge was not nice at all. Manager blamed the distributor and said they delivered today. Just be careful coming here, check your drinks, or they'll take advantage if you don't call them on it. See picture below of the expired beers we were served. read more

Had never been here before, but for New Year's my original place where I had purchased tickets from moved the venue to here. We had already purchased bottle service which was good. We had a two-day work event at Fuze. Jenny made sure everything was taken care of. She made time to meet with our IT techs, went over the menu, and reviewed the contract with me a few days ahead of time. While there were some bumps, the AC went out and the caterer was a bit late the first day. Jenny was ON IT! She had the AC fixed and made sure the caterer was on time if not early for our next meal. The room was great. Old building downtown with great natural lighting. Affordable parking right outside the back. It was a great experience and again, Jenny was great and communicated well throughout the planning and the event and was super flexible to our needs. read more

They didn't let me in with a government issued valid Permanent Resident GREEN CARD. Never had this problem ever. I'd also bought tickets to the event which was expensive. When asked politely and nicely to enter, manager used the F to shut me up and told me to get out. Very disrespectful manager or owner, whatever he was - standing outside by the entrance on March 29th. Very very disappointing and disrespectful management. read more

I took a ride on the quesabirria train with Lady Gomitas at Fuze and it did not disappoint! I picked up the order but didn't get to actually eat it until about half an hour when I got home. So unfortunately, the cheese in my quesitaco was not that melty anymore. The flavors were all delicious and satisfying! The consome is thick and flavorful. I had gotten a large with Birria so that I could eat the leftover with pho noodles the next day. I felt like the noodles were too delicate for such a heavy broth and protein, so I wasn't a fan of the combination. Took the noodles out and ate the rest of it with tortillas :) I can't wait to start dining in and taking advantage of the $20 bottomless tacos special on Thursdays and enjoy them hot with the mesmerizing cheese pull! read more

Bouncer was incredibly rude - wouldn't let me in because he wasn't sure if my ID was real... I asked what was wrong with my ID and he said "I can't tell if this is real or fake, but either way I'm definitely not letting you in." My friend pulled her ID out and asked if we could compare so we could see what the issue was, but he then yelled at us to move out of the way and pushed me aside more when I apparently wasn't far away enough. Got into other bars in dtsj with no problem after this. read more

Update: In reply to business owner, of course he had a valid ID on him to enter a 21+ bar :). As 24-25 year olds, this is not our first rodeo lol. Like i've mentioned, bouncer claimed my friend tried to swing on him, but in reality he was just putting his wallet away in his pocket, since he was basically finished w his pat down prior to walking inside. So not having a valid ID to enter wasn't an issue, the altercation afterwards was. But thanks for the reply back and your apology! read more

Scam, posted mimosa event on FB with VIP ticket for $36 / person , booked for 2 couples ( 4 of us ) to go there to find out there is no event. With that being said ! Once I posted my review , I got contacted by management, and for the first time it wasn't a reply to my post but a private message asking me what happened and how they can help So bottom line is , if you go to Fuze lounge , and anything go wrong for you , they will happily take care of it and make sure you are fully satisfied. Bartender tried to charge me $63 for a shot of tequila. Always check your receipt. This place will scam you.

Bought tickets to go to the Superbowl watch party, but didn't need them because it was dead (waste of $40). The TV's behind the bar were small and dated. The staff was very nice. Date night w/ the kids on a Friday night a few weeks ago. We walked and randomly stopped to look at the menu and decided to walk in since the menu looked good and prices were reasonable. + sweet chili wings + chicken fajitas + side of sweet potato fries + bacon cheeseburger + chocolate cake No kids' menu but that was why I ordered an appetizer and a side so both kids can walk out w/ a full stomach. Tess and Gavin shared the burger and Tess pretty much ate 98% of the wings. The wings were juicy and sweet, not a hint of chili though. The sweet potato fries were delicious and awesomely seasoned. My chicken fajitas tasted great but sadly it was on the dry side. Was I full? Not really. If I was full, dessert is a must. Anyway you look at it, dessert is mandatory. Sometimes I order my dessert as my appetizer. I ordered the chocolate cake to share w/ Gavin but the slice was so decadent that I didn't want to share; moist and super rich. If you do not like chocolate or desert that are too sweet then do not order this. Service was awesome. The guy was actually too attentive but I appreciated that our water was refilled instantly and he checked on us a few times leading up to the bill. read more

Arrived at Fuze on a Tuesday, hoping to grab some tacos and margaritas. Walked in around 7pm, two guys are sitting at the bar, no music on, no staff to be seen. After waiting for 15 minutes, I look around to see if maybe the staff was on another side of the bar or on a break somewhere. By 20 minutes, I still did not find anyone and I left.
