One of the nicer brewing spots I've been to. The owners were so nice. I love how you can see the brewing process through the window. I was fortunate to try their IPA for the Taste of White Center event and it was great, I usually don't like IPAs or beers but the drink was not too strong and very refreshing. I'd come back!

I just had to rave about this place because it was such a cool place to come hang! All the beers are delicious over here! And a special shout out to the food truck attached to this place. It's called farm boy, it was probably one of the best smash burgers I've ever had. The pickles are absolutely delicious but the habanero sauce is soo good on the side!

Mac N Cheese and sandwiches. All amazing

Good thing they have amazing food. I'll be back when they have more lemon pepper wings and besitek. The food we had was absolutely amazing. The cider was pretty good too. I wasn't feeling any of their beers on tap. I'm not a huge beer fan. But I usually find at least 1 that I somewhat enjoy, so that was a bummer. But hey, the cider was good and the food even better. I also enjoyed the space. Several areas to hang. I choose indoors upstairs with a view of the stills. Not sure what they are called. Prices are also fair. This place isn't the easiest to point out while driving by, but still not hard. Come on in, order some yunny bites, then grab a drink and a seat.

Cool place to enjoy a beer or a few, great food truck slinging out smash burgers and jojo's. Conveniently located walking distance from an event I was helping out with, I was able to take a break and check it out, and try a few of their brews on a break, first up was their 'Yaass Beach' IPA, a good solid refreshing drinking IPA, well balanced not overly hopped. Very casual atmosphere, the tap artists and manager were all very friendly and helpful with selections. As you'll see throughout this review they have some imaginative and non apologetic titles for their beers, all in fun of course. I finished off my first session, before heading back to the event, with their take on a lager 'Long Love Funk' , a great selection for those who aren't into hoppy IPA's, but enjoy a good solid brew with that beer taste bite to it. Definitely very tasty and drinkable on a hot august afternoon. It was amazing the difference a few hours make, as returning later (after six) the place was packed and the food truck slammed with order... the cook working solo In the food truck was doing an amazing job of getting food out to a very big crowd. Coming up to order, he was very honest in saying, please come back to order in 10 minutes, so I can catch up, and it still could be an hour wait for food. No worries, as the burger was well worth the wait, and besides it gave me more time to enjoy some more of their great beers, which I did. Lol. Since the patio and small downstairs area was packed, it was great to discover their upstairs area, which was pretty much empty, which made for a little more chilling atmosphere, more posters and art work, along with windows looking down to where the magic is made and windows over looking the covered and open space seating below. It was great to relax after the event, with their green River IPA, another delicious beer with a great hoppy taste to it, very enjoyable while waiting for the smash burger. A great selection of rock music playing the whole time. Thankfully, it didn't take an hour to get the call on the burger being ready, as I was coming up to pick up the order, I noticed the sold out sign, grateful to make it before that, and hats off to the cook, ready to rest after hopping it all afternoon. The burger was delicious! The mixture of ground chuck, brisket and sweet onion with cheese made for a juicy double burger, which I enjoyed quickly and thoroughly, going well with another Green River, the burger was cooked just right, plenty juicy, cheesy, and smashed to extent outside the bun all around, plenty of beef, for sure. The Jojo's which is another name for wedge cut potatoes were excellent as well, crispy on the outside, tender and tasty on the inside, add in their own special ketchup and fry sauce.. very yummy! Another nice touch was the stamped 'I made this for you' on the fry bag. A side note.. the food truck is called Farmboy Burgers, open Wednesdays -Sundays. A great stop in the west Seattle area. Many to go options as well, worth the drive to the west side. Yelping on, God bless and Cheers!

Refreshing and delicious beer at Future Primitive!

What a great brewery addition to the Seattle area! I went to the Future Primitve's tasting room right around when it first opened. When I went to the tasting room I had their Table Beer, called The Little One as well as the Tunnel Vision Porter. Both beers proved to be excellent! They were very refreshing and the beer recipes involved here make for very memorable beers in which makes me want to keep going back! A little while after my visit to the taproom Steve and I went to Edison's in Tacoma and in which he got the Black River Oatmeal Stout by this brewery. That was an excellent beer as well! I was tempted to order one for myself! I look forward to enjoying more of Future Primitive's beer options as well as what ever they may have in store for us in the future!

Love this brewery! For one thing, I loved every beer I tried. For another thing, this place has character. You have to love a brewery who uses names like Thunder Pussy (a band) and Nazi Punks Fuck Off. They also have hard cider. They have a great set up with outdoor seating and food truck available with some pretty good food. It's in the area between Highland Park and White Center that's getting some life breathed back into it from businesses such as this. It's a very easy, comfortable spot to sit for a couple of hours.

What a lovely brewery. Hubcap double IPA

Some asshole in the media wrote that IPAs give you man boobs. I hate our POTUS, but to borrow a term from that POS, "FAKE NEWS." Meh, maybe it is true. Idk, I'm not that smart, and with the amount of booze I've drank over my life its a miracle I don't have brain damage (although, to be fair, some women might say otherwise). And, with the amount of IPAs I've drank over the last ten years I should be rocking a bra if the aforementioned is true. Regardless, if my bosom does expand I'll be the first to start a support group for us AT this brewery. I heard about this joint a few months ago while talking to a dude at Cloudburst (real recognize real) who lives in White Center. He mentioned it had just opened up, but it skipped my mind as drinking IPAs can cause you to do that. Then, last week I was tipping a few back at Elysian in Georgetown, and my friend who bartends there mentioned a brewer who used to work there had opened up Future Primitive. Isn't this some riveting cycle of life shit? Having my memory jogged, I ventured out to to finally try the new brewery. Its a block off the main White Center strip on a side road. There's parking on the street, and it wasn't too packed on this Saturday afternoon. There's two levels to the spot, and pretty cozy. There's about a dozen seats at the small bar (with a view of the brewing area), and they have a island bar top that seats 4. They have an area upstairs, but I didn't venture up (who wants to climb a flight of stairs while drinking). There's also a covered outdoor patio with heaters, benches, and tables that seats about two dozen. After a quick scan of the beer menu for IPAs (think there was about 8 beers on tap), I chose the Pep Talk IPA, and on the subsequent pint the Hubcap Double IPA. Sometimes you have to start off with a standard before you get into the doubles. Its like warming up your liver. Liver, I hope you appreciate that, and thanks for keeping my body good from all this sweet poison I'm consuming. Both IPAs were excellent. I wish I had more insight, but I'm not one of those sniff the wine cork types. Well, its too late in the game to quit IPA life, so I'm just going to have to let Future Primitive contribute to the eventual. You should do the same, cause the beer is great. And, if you see me out there, let me know if the chest is looking brolic or not. Salute!

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

They are kid and dog-friendly, too. We ordered an NA IPA (which they have on tap!) and their hop water (comes in a can). Both beverages were absolutely delicious. There is a food truck on site, but it was closed when we visited. No worries, though, you can bring outside food, which is perfect since there are plenty of great restaurants in the area.
