So knowing nothing, except for Google/YouTube help, one could up sell me anything, especially car repairs as I've experienced in the past. Luckily this repair was a good experience . The owner Glen, is a super chill guy, he practically lives here with his shop hours being so broad. This is his retirement hobby, from being a computer engineer, so he really seems to know a lot and is not pushy or trying to sell me more than I needed. I had dropped my all in one HP computer while it was running, onto my leg and it broke it inside. He said it would take 1-2 days to figured out if the problem was 1 of 2 things. Software reinstall was $89 plus tax(which ended up being my issue) or a hardware fix being south of $200. The shop sits right off of Yonge st just a walk north of Major Mackenzie, it's mainly street parking unless you park behind the plaza or the church. I drive by here often and have never noticed this place, but it's been here for years.

After a number of emails, they contradicted themselves and obviously didn't read what I wrote. Called but their landline has been disconnected. A bad sign. I got their cell #. All the guy would say is "our policy is", no matter what I said. In other words I have your money, tough. He was rude and aggressive. I have dealt with lots of tech companies over last 30 years+ of using digital equipment. Worst and most unhelpful place ever. Terrible experience. Do not buy from them. If you have a problem you will be stuck with it. I will now contact Zagg and see if they will be of any help.

Today I went into the store after speaking to tech support and customer service at Fido to get authorization to return the phone. The tech support rep told me he would put a note on my file telling them to accept and exchange the phone today. 2 hours later I walked into the Fido Hillcrest location and Ali was "assisting" me. First he asked for my receipt, then looked at it and told me I had to come back the next day when Raun the employee who I picked up the phone from. I said no, I spoke to Fido already and they said I could come in today and to put a note on my file, and that if he didn't see the note to call customer service. He responded "I'm not calling customer service, this is the store." completely disregarding the directive on my file put there by Fido. The entire time he was very rude and unfriendly, even a bit offensive, especially when he told me "this phone isn't defective". I told him I had a 30 day satisfaction guarantee and I was not satisfied with the performance of the phone and he told me that I could "exchange it tomorrow." I spoke to Rogers/Fido management and they told me they would arrange for me to get the phone at another location, so clearly this location and their policies, employees, and management are not upholding the protocols and standards that Fido has set out. They also immensely apologized, understanding that I was treated horribly after encountering a problem with a device that I was guaranteed would work properly and be satisfactory. If you are interested in shopping at Fido there are other Fido locations and even other places in this mall that sell Fido devices and services.

So at the end of the 2 years I ended up having to pay $420.00 which covered the cost of the phone. I told the guy that I wanted my monthly charge to go down quite a bit. I'm 80 years old living on Gov't pensions. Sometimes I miss things and with his accent I also had a problem understanding him. I told him I don't need 80 gigs of dada. 10 would be lots. A new free phone came with the plan and I said I didn't need it as I was using the one I just paid off but he insisted. So I took it. When I got the first bill for the new plan my payment was $61.02. My previous plan was $62.02. So that is way cheaper right? NOT. I'm saving a whole$1.13. I tried calling them several times. I was put on hold and waited 45 minutes each time. After 45 minutes I hung up. My time is valuable too. I went into the store in Upper Canada Mall and that got me nowhere. I'm not paying for a phone anymore at least I shouldn't be and I don't need all that data. Every time I get the bill I get ticked off all over again. After this 2 years are up I will never use Freedom again.

Beware of VERBAL ABUSE!!!…read more I am extremely disappointed by the treatment I received at Mobile Square and I feel other customers should be aware. I first visited the store last week during lunch time because my iPad was experiencing frequent crashing issues. During that visit, one of the technicians was already impatient when I asked questions and tried to get clarification about the problem. Despite the poor attitude, I left my iPad with them for diagnosis, hoping the technical expertise would make up for the customer service. When I picked it up, a different technician explained that the crashing issue had been temporarily resolved and that the underlying problem was a damaged power management IC. I was advised to use an original Apple charger moving forward. After returning home and following those instructions, I discovered that my iPad would not charge, even with an original Apple charger. Concerned that the issue had not actually been resolved, I returned to the store the following week. Unfortunately, that second visit was far worse. A third technician with glasses, who had not been involved in my previous visits, immediately came across as dismissive and unprofessional when I was trying to ask for clarity. While the previous technician was attempting to explain the situation to me, he repeatedly interrupted the conversation and treated me with open hostility. After I confronted with him of his rude behavior and attitudes, he then proceeded to call me a "B!TCH" and even said "F@CK YOU" directly to my face. I was stunned. I came in seeking help with a device and instead was subjected to verbal abuse from a staff member. No customer should ever be spoken to this way under any circumstances. This behavior and attitude were completely unacceptable. Technical issues can happen. Repairs may not always work. All I wanted was clarification to understand the issue better. What customers should be able to expect, however, is professionalism, respect, and basic courtesy. Based on my experience, this business failed on all three. I cannot recommend Mobile Square to anyone. If customer service matters to you, I would strongly consider taking your business elsewhere.
