Do not go to this shop. Will never go here again. I went to this shop since it was close by and they said they could fix the screen on my Samsung Galaxys S2 smartphone. I had called other places around the GTA but went here since it was close by. I was first quoted $90 for the repair of the screen over the phone, but when I went there in person it turned into $240, without even looking at the phone! They are scammers and just try to rip you off any chance they get. It was very upsetting that they started throwing prices off the top of their heads. The gentlemen quoted me that the give part I wanted was $200, even though every other shop I called before going here was selling it for $140. I double checked online suppliers and even ebay, and nobody sold this part for more than $140-$150. I found this to be very dishonest. I then asked how much he would buy the phone for, which was a fairly new Galaxy S2 and I also had a Blackberry Torch 9800 in good condition, and he offered $40 for BOTH, which was insulting. This aside they were just very rude which was the worst part, and talk down to their customers. Not good customer service at all consider how much they charge. I've been to many cellular repair shops before and have never been ripped off so badly, I will stick with Pacific mall, worth making the drive out there and getting a resonable deal and knowing you have many options. PS. While I was waiting in line for my turn, an elderly person was ahead of me and he trying to figure out why his phone wasn't charging, he believe it was the charger cord he was using and he brought it with him. The clerk at the store didn't even test the cord or the phone and just told him off the top of his head that it would be $80 to fix and he would need to repair the charging port, plus there is a $15 fee for them to just check the phone...this was just terrible, especially if they take advatange of people that aren't technologically savvy. read more

1) poor customer service 2) poor turnaround time 3) fair technical repair This is why: My first experience with the store was on a Saturday, Jan 7th, was my bringing in a Blackberry Curve that had moisture damage where the "A" key had stopped working. I wanted on site service. But no technician was in that day. I returned on Wed the 11th, again no tech available, so I left the unit there and was told I would get a phone call. I was told the cost would be $60 but that was just an estimate, it could be more or less. I explained that I called last week and was told on the phone that if my phone had water damage it's usually 50$ to fix. By Saturday late afternoon I called and was told at first they could not find my phone but after a few "I'll call you backs..." my phone was found and I was told $40.00 and could not get an answer to a) why didn't I get a call and b) when was my phone actually repaired/ what day? I picked my phone up the very next day and when I explained that yesterday I was told $40 the tech said he could not charge $40 and the cost is $60. We finally agreed to $50 and still no answer to my questions above. The phone was fixed and the "A" was working again, but the trackpad is no longer flush with the units casing. The casing feels loose and shabby, definitely not behaving the way it did when i left the phone, I should take it back, but I can't be bothered right now as I don't have the time and my experience has been that there really isn't any "On-Site Service" advertised and there is no way I would leave my phone there again. Overall a disappointing first experience, I'd rather make the trip downtown Toronto where I know I can get excellent repair time, and excellent CS. read more

Problem: Phone does not picking LTE network properly (showing signal on a screen, but fails to surf and make/receive calls and messages in LTE mode - sim card is verified with other devices, not a carrier problem). Service duration: 3 working days. Result: No change - problem remained. Charge: $45 (after continuous dispute - they wanted $60-$80). Argument for "reasonable" price: "We fixed your phone" Fixing technology: Enabling "GSM Only" in "Network mode" (Mobile network settings). (Phone able to make/receive calls and sms only - LTE NOT AVAILABLE - standard built in phone feature that is available for ANY user). Customer concern: No difference before and after "fixing". -"Did you repair hardware?" -"No" -"Did you update OS?" -"No" -"So, what did you do to FIX!!! my phone?" -"It can make/receive calls and sms only after our FIXING" -"But it could do it even before FIXING?!?!" -"Receipt says -not picking network, now it's picking...." -"But it's GSM network, that was picking before FIXING as well..." -"It's picking network, we FIXED your phone!" In other words, if you are looking for that type of customer service, you know where to go! Best place to waste your time and money and to enjoy nerve wrecking conversation with their "obliging" representatives! Please, don't repeat my mistake, keep away from this place. read more

My iphone5 home button was not working and I brought it to this store to try my luck. I choose this store because of the great reviews. They are quite busy on that evening, with many customers taking their broken phones to repair. They initially quote $50 for repairing just the home button but later let me know that the entire board was broken, and said replacing the board will cost a fortune. I was about to give up, but they have decided to go ahead and replace the board even with the original $50. It took a bit longer than I expected but eventually I am happy that my phone got repaired and stick with my original $50 budget. Especially thanks for the staff who worked half-an-hour overtime beyond their closing time to get my phone fixed in the same evening! Also really appreciate the great deal that they decided to offer me. It has been more than a week and my fixed home button worked just like new. Will use their service again next time my phone is broken. read more

Well I had a broken iphone 5 screen and took it to future gadgets at yonge and elgin mills. Firstly I was told that it would take couple of hours to repair it and I agreed. later on, I received a call that my phone was repaired at a very reasonable price. The way my iphone 5 screen was repaired was quite neat. It looked like it was new. The guy that works there gave me a special price as a regular customer. I am totally satisfied. I recommend every one to go there a take a look. They have all phone and tablet accessories and the way they deal with customers is awesome. other than that, they also have repaired my brother's ipod touch that was very fantastic. I had a cracked screen on my Samsung Galaxy S4 and the mic was also not working properly. One of my friends recommended me to go to Future Gadgets.When I went there, I was told that my phone should be repaired in 3 days but I was surprised when I received a call the next day that my phone was repaired already. I almost gave up on my phone. When I went to the store, their employee asked me the receipt number and brought the my phone. It was like.. Woooooowwwww......I got totally brand new phone. If you drive by, keep on driving. I have replaced two cracked screens with them. 3 weeks later my phone screen suddenly cracks without warning or dropping. I go in to see what they can do. Nope! If it's after 14 days another $120 to fix it. I ask again to give me some sort of break on price since I am a repeat customer and i paid them twice to fix it. They tell me I must have dropped it. They refuse and do not seem to care about repeat business. I will be taking all my business elsewhere and convincing friends and family to do the same as well. They even stayed open a bit late so that we could come to pick it up after the store had closed. I got my iPhone 4 LCD replaced ( glass and LCD comes together on the iPhone 4) for $140.00. Done in a few hours, good as new. They said that it takes them longer with this one rather than the 3GS and 3G. Guess it's newer so they haven't done as many yet. Very satisfied. read more
