I had a great experience shopping here. I wanted to duplicate a piece I owned years ago, and the owner was incredibly helpful at locating almost exactly the same thing. The only thing different is that it's BETTER. Because a portion of it is handmade, I couldn't walk out with it the day I went into the store, but I'm very pleased with the product, and the wait time was not bad at all. Not only is it incredibly comfortable, it's a beautiful addition to my apartment, and will be the perfect twin sized guest bed when I have company, I highly recommend this shop.

Thank you for the futon! Most importantly I thank you for taking the time explain the different comfort levels of the mattresses for the futons. I appreciate the customer service you provided. Thanks once again.

PEOPLE! Look at the reviews. Albeit spread across years- believe me bad reviews stick like glue. But I digress. Here is my review: Bought online like a dummy for my sons room. You know video games and the occasional sleep over stuff. Sucked! Fell flat in like 3 months- no inner springs (who knew?) so I found a nice wood frame at Goodwill - yes folks we are thrifty. Well the flat futon mattress was horrible and was actually capable of doing real damage to the ol' caboose if you sat down too fast. Anyway we drove from Tolleson to the Futon store to see what the options were. Tom is the futon king! Told him the situation and he explained everything we needed to know about futon mattresses. He did not sugarcoat anything and was straight forward. Great character and great price. Pretty impressive futon that my son has now and he Loves! It. Thank you Tom for the great experience.

In October 2007 Tom made my wife and I a custom futon mattress of latex, wool, and organic cotton. Not only was he not as expensive as others we'd looked at, he took the time to show me the process and explain the materials so I knew that my wife and I were sleeping on a healthy surface. It's now 11 years later and I just found out he's still in business and wanted to offer him a BIG BIG thanks for all the perfect nights of sleep we've enjoyed because of his craftsmanship. We will certainly buy our next futon from him.

Tom was wonderful to talk to, and my futon was ready in just a couple of days for a very reasonable price.

In general I enjoy looking at vintage shops, and there are many interesting, unique items here. I noticed there are some really cool, great mid-century modern furniture pieces here, which I love, but not at my price point. Great to admire though. There were also other vintage items such as art pieces, clothing, shoes, jewelry, and some random things. I didn't think I would buy anything, but I found a cute southwest metal wind chime that had a nice patina after years of exposure. It is embossed with "1989, The Metal Man". I hung it out last night and it looked great against a beautiful sunset. It has a gentle chime sound, compared to come other chimes I have it. I love it. Definitely worth taking a stroll into the shop before or after a meal at Valentine. Never know what you'll find.

We had such a fun time trying out the restaurant and then going directly into the shop to do some window shopping before heading home. They have everything from jewelry and clothing to records and cassettes, dishware, furniture, decor, and so much more. Items are cleaned up, and the shop is nicely organized. My daughter purchased something and the owner was very pleasant and friendly to deal with. Check out is located at the desk in the center of the store. Prices seemed fairly reasonable. Some items were a little less and some more than a normal vintage or thrift shop.
