This is the best deal on campus. Why grab a 4 for 4 from Wendy's when you can get 2 hotdogs and a water for $3.

Kind cashier had funny small talk! Pretty affordable pricing too given the college students' budget!

Taquería escondida pero increíble! Apple Pay, Zelle y Venmo…read moreaceptados Hidden gem taco truck located next to Philly's Liquor on Baker & Enterprise. $2.50 tacos and open until 12:00 AM (medianoche). If it gets busy, please be patient and kind--there are only two people running the truck, and they're doing an amazing job (están haciendo un trabajo increíble). I ordered the brisket tacos (tacos de brisket / pecho de res) with a crispy tortilla (tortilla crujiente) and carne asada--so good. They also offer salsas for an extra $0.50. The owner is incredibly kind (muy amable), and his wife does all the cooking (ella cocina todo)--she's really talented (cocina riquísimo). Seeing him give food to a homeless man and his dog truly warmed my heart. Amazing food, great people. ¡Definitivamente regresaré!

I used to genuinely enjoy this place and ordered weekly because the food was always delicious…read more Unfortunately, my last experience was extremely disappointing. The quesadillas were overly greasy, and the carne asada was almost entirely fat with barely any actual meat. We ended up throwing away the entire order, which was around $70. What's disappointing is that this was the first bad experience we had after many good orders. I stopped ordering for weeks, but decided to give the place another chance today. I politely mentioned what happened previously, not to ask for a refund or discount, but simply as constructive feedback so the business could improve. Instead of hearing me out or apologizing, they became offended and told me to order elsewhere. That response says a lot about the difference between simply selling food and actually knowing how to run a successful business. Customer feedback even negative feedback is valuable when handled professionally. Accountability and customer service matter just as much as the food itself, and unfortunately this place falls short in both areas.

There were many confused and unhappy people today! Or ... maybe it was just me. -_- First of all, the parking here SUCKS. If you plan on coming with some friends or coworkers, please CARPOOL. The construction on Barranca doesn't make the situation any better, so give yourselves enough time to get here. There's roughly about 20 parking spaces in the lot and some across the street in the Staples plaza. Secondly, please bring cash. Not ALL food trucks honor debit and credit cards, except a few (see their website for details). Lastly, I'm glad I still came out and tried a couple new trucks today! Stay tuned for my individual reviews for them! ^_^

I must admit that I got a little excited when I saw Seabirds (The Great Food Truck Race!!!), but I was a little apprehensive about my kids seeing the Sexy Burger truck, although the girl who was taking orders was actually kind of *sexy* attractive (ohhh I think I just heard some dude's babe-dar go "Whatwhaaat?"). Anyhoo, I ended up getting some Italian Ice from Mustache Mike (separate review), but if I get a chance to come back again, I've got my eyes set on SpudRunners (if they're there) :D

They were very responsive and catered to our needs. Day of the event, they arrived on time for set up (one hour in advance of planned serving time) and were ready to serve the 60+ guests. I did misinterpret the quote which stated tablecloth for salsa bar and assumed tablecloth's would be provided for the guest tables, but it wasn't a big deal as we had brought our own just in case. The salsa station looked elegant with nice tablecloth and setting and tacos and quesadillas were great. We ordered the pollo, carne asada, and al pastor. Al pastor was easily my favorite, and the salsa verde and guac were on point. We had many guests comment on how good the tacos were, and took business cards for their future events! I've tried different protein options and I have no complaints - the shrimp is flavorful and has a good bite to it, carnitas are so moist, and carne asada is cooked perfectly. The loaded potatoes are soooo good... it's a baked potato with meat, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, and chipotle sauce (depending on which protein option you get). It's so decadent and heavy, but if you're craving some saucy potatoes this is perfect. Side note: the salsas on the side can get pretty spicy. My main complaints are with the wait times and non-transparent prices. A week ago I came here at 7:40PM on Friday (they open at 7:30PM) and I ordered a potato el bandido with shrimp - it took 25 minutes! Now, it was absolutely delicious, but it was wild to me how long it took for a single item. Besides that, I don't think anyone's ever a fan of places that have their prices hidden. I've been going to this spot for over a year and they've always had their prices covered. I know I can ask the cashier when I get there, but there are typically lines and I feel bad taking up more time asking for the price of multiple options. Overall though, good spot for tacos and other options. There are like two benches if you plan on eating there, and there's a whole additional parking lot if you're coming during busy hours. Cashier and workers are polite and helpful. Definitely check it out!

Their bacon-wrapped hot dog and signature piñabero sauce were unforgettable. The meat was tender, juicy, and absolutely delicious. Fast forward to a few years later: I was hosting another baby shower at a venue in Huntington Beach. Even though they didn't have a license to operate in the city--and their pricing was higher--I still really wanted them. I even offered to cover the cost of the business license so they could cater my event. But the day of the event was a total letdown. The staff arrived late and started cooking in foil trays, which immediately raised questions from my guests. I kept trying to hype them up, saying "just wait, this is the best I've ever had!"--but when the food came out, it was disappointing. Tacos and hot dogs were bland, and even the "signature" sauce couldn't save it. Guests were making comments like, "Taco Bell would've been better." To make matters worse, it was so embarrassing that my guests ended up filling up on the pizzas I had ordered for the kids. Since then, I've had friends and family recommend other taco caterers, which kind of stings given how much I once vouched for Mr. Hot Bunz. Really disappointed. I truly hope they can bring back the quality they once had, but I won't be using them again.
