Multiple people recommended fusion so had to check it out myself. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! We were happy with every item we ordered ( garlic edamame, chicken dumplings, Singapore noodles and multiple sushi rolls). I was so excited that they had a special vegetarian roll ( the sunset) in addition to the usual vegetarian rolls. The setting is very casual and the place was packed on a Friday evening, but the team works fast and we had our food out very quickly. I'm so excited to have this restaurant so close by!

Loved the food here! I feel compared to other locations, the filling in the sushi is pretty plentiful and not just rice with a little bit of filling. Noodle dishes are pretty good too. Would definitely recommend as a good dinner spot to take a date or your family/friends to. Service is pretty good too despite it being so busy during the dinner rush!

I am not sure why this restaurant takes reservations and then completely ignores your request. When we arrived, the table I asked for when I made the reservation weeks earlier was occupied. I really do not think they even reserve tables. We were just taken to an open table in the main dining room. Their attitude was: this was a Friday night and they were busy. Advice: don't take reservations for dinner if you are not going to honor them! Thankfully, our server, Eileen, was upbeat and friendly and made up for the rudeness of the hostess. This is not a restaurant that you can take your time in; they want you in and out as quickly as possible. We had to slow our server down. I decided to try the Sushi Grade Ahi seared Tuna salad with avocado, cucumber over spring greens and romaine with a soy-wasabi vinaigrette. It was very tasty, however, I would have liked more greens on the plate. My husband had the grilled salmon with tomatoes over spring greens and romaine with a citrus-miso dressing. He had lots of greens on his plate. He was happy that they cooked the salmon well; as he had requested. Our friends enjoyed two orders of the Japanese Dumplings, the Shrimp Tempura and a Spicy Tuna Roll and Spicy Shrimp Roll. The bottle of wine we ordered cost more than our dinners. All in all, we enjoyed our dinners.

Poke in a Roll roll, California roll

WORST SUSHI EVER! Ordered takeout from this place on a Saturday night. I got the "Poke in a Roll" and one California roll. The "Poke in a Roll" was terrible -- the tuna on the inside was brown and the roll tasted like it was expired. It literally tasted like it had been sitting out on a counter for a few days. Additionally, the seaweed gave the roll an intensely fishy flavor that was not expected. Like, I understand sushi is fish (so by nature it will taste fishy), but this roll made me feel like I was going to throw-up. It was so bad I couldn't even finish it and had to throw most of it away. The California roll was so bland, and again, it tasted expired. Even the sushi rice tasted like it had been messed up. We also ordered Pad Thai and Mongolian Beef. Both of these dishes were alright, but again nothing to write home / rave about. The Pad Thai tasted bland -- it could have used some spicy sauce and didn't even come with lime. The Mongolian Beef should actually be written on the menu as "Vegetables (peppers, onions, etc) with Just a Bit of Mongolian Beef." There were infinitely more vegetables than beef in the serving that we got.

I come here all the time and I've been coming here for years! My food is always consistently delicious. I've had everything on the menu at this point, so here's what I think are the best: Fried Tofu, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Crispy Tuna, Sweet Potato Roll, Chicken Fried Rice, Pink Lady roll, Chili Beef and Wonton Soup. Everything else is delicious -- I just think these aren't favorites. The portions for the entrees and appetizers are large (maybe meant for sharing?) and are reasonably priced. Even the drinks here are pretty solid. I love the sushi here and it's one of my favorite places to get it. Even takeout here is a breeze. Definitely check this place out if you've been wondering about it.

Fusion's reopening has been readily anticipated by my folks and I from the time they closed. Fusion's quality is as great as ever; fresh fish, beautiful presentation, multilayered and complex flavors. From the looks of their restaurant, they are taking the utmost precautions when it comes to staying COVID safe and well-sanitized. I will continue to return to fusion again and again, so happy they've managed to stay open during this difficult time!

I ordered crispy beef because I had it before and my friends house was pretty good crispy in something different so I ordered again two weeks later $21 crispy beef and was nothing crispy about it soggy nothing special beef with same spicy sauce For $21 I thought maybe I could share it with my wife but it wasn't much, also ordered fried dumplings and I got six chicken potstickers from Sam's Club for $13 I can have 60 potstickers and fried them myself I called it lazy frozen potstickers that's a pretty lazy I wonder what else is frozen in that restaurant.

Bug in my lo mein
Paige E.

I HATE to do this because Fusion has been our go-to sushi date for the last 6 years, but I can't stomach eating there again after I found a bug in my lo mein. My husband placed the order over the phone on Wednesday and went to pick it up to bring it home. I ate my sushi roll first, and then when I got to my noodles, I ate a few bites and noticed the long antennas. I completely lost my appetite, didn't take another bite, and will not be returning any time soon. So disappointed because we have loved going there!

I was greeted promptly, and the host tried to seat me even though I mentioned twice that I wanted to place a to go sushi order. I was given a menu, a pencil, and a sushi order form, but the form wasn't very self-explanatory. I tried to get the host's attention to ask a few questions about quantities and how certain items were prepared, but he seemed distracted by other activity in the restaurant. While waiting, about 10 minutes, I noticed the decor was bright, the sushi chefs were neat and clean, and the preparation area looked well maintained. In the end, I took a guess on my order (California roll and lump crab meat) , and once I got home, I realized I made a solid choice. The sushi tasted very fresh (although the crab didn't taste like lump - it was still tasty) which definitely stood out and made the experience better. I ordered enough for lunch that day and still had leftovers for the next. Will I go back? I'm not sure, but I might try again on a different day and dine in.

My date arrived before me and got a table and some tea, when I arrived we ordered some miso soup which came piping hot and delicious and we ordered four different rolls of sushi. We got a California roll, we got a son-in-law mango roll which was shrimp tempura topped with crispy spicy tuna and mango and it was absolutely delicious, it was probably the most favorite of the four rolls that we got. We also had their first year roll which was an anniversary sushi roll and had Old Bay crab meat, avocado, and shrimp tempura style. To cap off the four rolls, we got a spider roll which is soft shell crab, cucumber, and roe. They were all really good but the son in law mango roll was probably the best and our favorite of the four. My date had never had sticky rice with mango and that's one of my favorite desserts ever. So we got one to share and she loved it and it was different than I had had in other places and it was really good and really tasty. This place offers a lot of unique sushi as well as unique dishes. I think the last time I was here I had a combination of sushi and a regular dish from the menu. Our waiter was fantastic and our service was great. Every time I water glasses were a little low he came by and refill them and got us another pot of tea. I can't say enough about our experience last night and I highly recommend this restaurant and I look forward to going back.

(My comparison, BTW, is to a restaurant we enjoyed in Ithaca New York that made Kung Pao with peppers that would flay your face from the inside if you dared to eat one. Modern Asia's didn't even tickle, making it a let down). I ordered Seafood Combination Chinese Yellow Curry, a new dish for me. It was yummy. Described as one-pepper spicy on the menu, it had less heat than the Kung Pao, but the curry sauce had layers of flavor. It featured shrimp, scallops, and calmari plus a wonderful mix of peppers, onions, and other veg. All were nicely (crisply) cooked, even taking into account the Door Dash delivery time. I really enjoyed it. Next time I may ask for a bit more heat, but as it is, I hoovered up every morsel. Try it - you'll like it!

I had been here once before, before moving to the area, and thought it was great then. This time? Extraordinary. Now for the Maryland softie, my first bite was heavenly (full of the crab-cake and remoulade), but as I kept eating it, I realized I would've just preferred it with just crab cake, not the soft shell too. Was it worth the hype? kind of. It's pricey so maybe one and done for me. Now the crab Rangoon egg roll, that was a miss for me. It is cheesy and filled with imitation crab, but too small for me at the price point. And I didn't find it super tasty personally. My sister who is also a yelp elite had a totally different take and loves it, so maybe it's subjective. I did have it 4 hours (put it in air-fryer) after I got it so maybe eating it super fresh is the difference. Space is limited so better for carryout, and the person taking my order was friendly. It'll probably take 20-30 mins for your order to come out, depending on how many people there are and pickup orders they have to complete. Overall, this place is a Maryland staple at this point and anyone who visits MD should 100% try and check out their famous fried chicken, whether as a bao sandwich or a rice bowl.
