First time trying this place. Long story short? Tasty fresh food. Disappointing service. Ambiance Cool, modern, clean vibe inside and out. Decent sized parking lot. Good amount of seating inside. Service They have a robust online ordering system, and a rewards program if you download their app. Reach certain spending thresholds to receive various elite statuses and rewards (the tote bag sounds cool!). You can customize pretty much everything through the app. Then when you get there you can skip the line. I did this, though, and my experience wasn't too good. I went straight to the register and was ignored for a few minutes while other customers were rung up. Then a staff member looked at me and said "pick up?" No "welcome!" or even a smile. He then proceeded to look around the back area and asked me if it could be under a different name. I said no. Then he talked to another worker and went back to ringing up other customers. No update, no "ok we found it" or "it'll be just a minute." Nothing at all. A few minutes later another staff handed me a bag and said something like "here you go." No thanks, no apology, nothing. Definitely left me with a bad feeling. Food They have a few specific rolls on the menu, but you can design your own from scratch as well which is a cool concept. I had a customized roll with chicken and tried the kaleo bowl (tuna, kale, avocado, etc). Both were tasty and fresh. The tuna particularly tasted very fresh. The kale was tossed in a nice citrus dressing. The roll was a very good-sized portion and could've easily been a light meal on its own. Total was about $19 for both. FUSIAN is my go-to take out spot when I want something delicious that's relatively healthy. I'm a big fan of their app because I tend to order the same things over and over again, which is extremely easy to do on the app. You can order and pay on the app and it will be ready and waiting when you show up. Prices are pretty great, about $8 for a large roll. One roll plus a side of their delicious seaweed salad is enough to fill me up. (I will say I'm not a big fan of their ginger salad or cucumbers.) This a great spot for picky eaters or folks who think they don't like sushi (hello chicken and tofu options). read more

As a sushi novice I figured this would be good for me since I can choose what goes into the roll and that works for me. I told the girl I was a novice and this was my first visit and she talked me through everything, explained it all, and told me what she was doing. The meat option all looked great, the veggies were VERY fresh, flavorful sauces and the prices were surprisingly lower that I expected. If you are like me and used to think "Sushi, nah, I don't think I will like that" then this is the place for you, and if you are someone who says "Sushi, love it!" then again, also the place for you. read more

I boast about Fusian to anyone and everyone I know traveling to the Columbus area!!!! I absolutely love this place and wish someone would franchise one in Louisville, KY because I know it would he a HUGE hit in my city. Build your own sushi and lavender lemonade...omg you cannot go wrong. I load my sushi rolls up with anything and everything and the ingredients taste fresh and delicious. Fusion is fast and convenient, you build your own roll and it's reasonably priced. But, you get a serious lack in flavor... the texture always seems a bit off too. It's always fast service and clean inside, but never really satisfies my craving for sushi. I do like their selection of teas/lemonade, always interesting flavors there. I love Fusian! This is coming from someone who has been there twice this week. I usually have a couple different combinations of rolls I go through each time I visit. The make your own roll is a fun way to get the not so adventurous eater to try sushi in a way they are comfortable with. I'm talking no seaweed, no fish,etc. They also have the option to make more authentic rolls as well. I'm writing this review because today I tried their Fusian Coconut Curry. This is the BOMB.COM. It has a light coconut and light curry flavor in the best way. The coconut milk makes for a creamy broth that carries multiple layers of flavor. There is a bit of heat. Not an in your face heat but more like your sister is pinching you in the back seat of the car trying to hide from your parents sneak up on you heat. All in all this place has tasty food- I recommend everyone give it a shot once in their life. read more

Disappointed in my experience. I went on a Saturday around opening time. I just wanted to get some rolls to go. I walk in, ONE other customer there ALREADY EATING. and Behind the counter there were 4 people, prepping food. Not one greets me. I go up to the counter, literally, stand there for 3 Minutes... no one makes a move to come help me, they just keep going with their conversation. Then a guy moves To get gloves, seriously, it took this guy 2 minutes to put on gloves. Finally he sluggishly moves to the counter and says in a depressed tone "what can I get you" I start talking... he needs a food item... turns around and asks the people prepping food to get it for him, FOUR TIMES!!! Then the girl turns to him and sarcastically says something and laughs. She didn't even get it for him, he has to do it himself. Then he continues Making my food. Completely uneven with the ingredients. He rolled it and it was looser than *****. It ended up falling apart all over. So moral of the story I walked in, got no friendly service and left with a sushi bowl when I wanted a roll. Just so unbelievable people can be so awful at their job when it's so easy. People. I like the sushi at Fusian because it is custom and fresh. Tonight I tried their ramen and they hit it out of the park. I got the miso ramen and my husband got the curry miso ramen. He liked his and I liked mine. I thought the broth tasted better than any other ramen that I have had in the recent past. Now that I think of it, I got chicken in mine and a lot of the other places have fried chicken. I avoid fried food so this makes me happy. The only comment I would make would be that there is no egg. The pork broth comes with radish and nori. I don't know why they don't put this on the miso ramen but I am not an expert. This is just a current item they are trying, it is not listed on their menu board but is listed on their app. I had to heat it up at home. I am not too crazy about sushi but my girlfriend is so we tried Fusian. The employees were very helpful in helping me make my decision and explaining the menu. I got the smoked salmon and crab rolls. I was pleasantly surprised. The ingredients were fresh, the sushi was nice sized. Between my husband and I we shared 4 rolls, miso soup and some edamame. I made the equivalent of a California and a Philadelphia roll, my husband made 2 tempura varieties. The sushi was rolled nice and tasted good. I would not get the miso soup again as it was very salty, hardly any tofu and cost $2.50. The teas were refreshing, especially the citrus lime tea, which was calorie free. Very delicious. Chipotle version for sushi. rolls are between $6.75 and $7.50 (equals 8 pieces). You can get half one way and half the other. For $1.50 more u can either get double meat or up to 4 meats in one roll! Add as many veggies, sauces, cream cheese, etc as you like. My roomie and i also got a drink. .. unique flavors to try such as lavender lemonade and gingerade and citrus mint green tea. I've been going to Fusian for years. I was thrilled to see a closer location. The food was delicious, as always. The drink options are phenomenal, Much better than the standard soft drinks. I love the fresh ingredients and seasonal items. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. The store was very clean and welcoming, with plenty of seating and natural light. Another huge perk of this location is the onsite parking. The campus location is great but there is never close parking. read more

I've been a loyal Fusian customer since day one at the campus location. It's been really cool to see the brand grow and develop over the years and I used to really enjoy it but lately something seems off. I feel like they've changed the recipes on several of their items and sauces and it's upsetting to say the least. I've also noticed that they have started to cut their protein strips into thinner portions. The spicy edamame used to be my go to, with its thick sweet soy base and chili pepper flakes. Now it's this watery, vinegar stuff with a couple shakes of chili powder and sesame seeds. They also changed the recipe for the cucumber salad for the worse. We got the Wholey bowl with tofu on a bed of brown rice and kale. It is covered by loads of healthy vegetables including onions, carrots, beets, and red peppers. I love that you have tons of options for protein from steak to raw tuna.. But they do skimp on the amount inside your roll! They also have plentiful sauce options (I suggest sweet chili) and the rolls turn out a nice size.. Definitely filling!!!!! If you're not totally full, they have a few side options. I grabbed a side of cucumber salad.. But the sauce seemed to have been forgotten, it was just plain cucumber. Sort-of a bummer. The whole restaurant was filthy tonight and it wasn't very busy. The whole staff looked like they just got out of a tent on the last morning of a three day jam band festival. When people are working with food right in front of the customer they should take a little pride in their hygiene and general appearance. The music was so loud the employees couldn't hear us and they messed up our orders. I still have the sniffles from the spicy crap that was sprinkled all over my roll, I asked for masago.
