This place is so easy and convenient! My husband ordered the deluxe party box and it was quick and easy to get. The staff was nice and had a lot going on but got it out quick. Ordered California rolls with the peanut sauce topping and shrimp tempura. California rolls with the peanut sauce was pretty good but the price was a bit hefty for ten pieces. The shrimp tempura (under all the greens) looked good with a nice tempura crust. But the shrimp was just a slight sliver of shrimp meat under all that tempura crust. I have really enjoyed Fusian in the past, and this is my first time getting a bowl instead of a roll! My bowl was like 50% rice and 20% carrot, and didn't get much fish (or avocado, despite paying extra). I also don't think the fish tasted particularly fresh in comparison to what I've had from Fusian before. Anyhow, for the price of the bowl and based on the value you get from it, you might as well skip it. You probably get more fish in one of the rolls for less $$. Random side note, the cucumber being cut into long matchsticks doesn't work for the bowls and they should probably be cut smaller for bowls than for the rolls. I didn't know what to expect when I walked into Fusian. It's basically fast food sushi and I think I'm in love. Lol You can order from their menu of rolls, bowls or salads. You also have the option to create your own. Since it was my first time I decided to play it safe. I ordered the crispy shrimp roll, chicken and rice bowl and spicy endamame. Everything except the endamame are made right in front of you as you go down the line. The ingredients look fresh and everyone has gloves on. They have about 4 or 5 varieties of fountain lemonade. For me, Fusian is the perfect place to go when you want a healthy, veggie packed quick meal. I never feel overly full after eating one roll. Sometimes I still feel a little hungry after which is probably a personal issue with eating too much at other restaurants :'-) I often will choose fusian for a workday lunch where I don't want to feel overly full when I get back to work. I like that you can pack in as many different veggies as you want in the sushi roll. I usually always get the tempura shrimp as my protein. I think the price is just ok for what you get. I understand the ingredients are costly for what they make, but it's a little pricier than I like to spend on a fast casual meal. My family came here for lunch today and over all it was pretty good. It's definitely set up to build your own so if your a picky sushi eater this place is for you. Would never recommend to anyone to order from any food delivery place as my girlfriend and I are 0/5, the food comes very gross and soggy and always are given minimal serving sides. My office building partnered with fusion for free delivery on Thursdays to our building. I was super excited to give it a try. I decided in a build your own salad and spicy edamame. My steak salad was very fresh and had a good amount of options to pick from. I did add rice to it thinking it would be a small amount. It was half rice so it felt more like a rice bowl then salad. Everything was very fresh though and had a great flavor. Maybe rice on the side or not at all. I also asked for double veggies and if it was double veggies there would not have been much there with the standard servings. My edamame were the regular ones not spicy so that was a disappointment as well. I absolutely love the food here but prices have changed for the worse over time. I'll start with the positives, though. Food is always fresh and very tasty! I love the concept of creating my own roll and portions are usually decent. Service is usually ok too, no complaints there. Now, I know prices go up every year but I can't help but feel Fusian is getting greedy and nickeling and diming their customers. Rolls have gone up at least $1 and now they want to charge extra for avocado?! And some rolls they create come with avocado so the price really isn't the price. This is a great idea executed just ok, but could be great. Now that I properly understand its offerings, it fills a nice niche in fast Asian, sushi-ish offerings. In a Chipotle-like assembly line you can make a roll or bowl with a few different offerings. Apparently they also have ramen but I didn't see it on the menu at the ordering point. The biggest execution flaw is the menu and lack of clarity. The words "roasted salmon" appear frequently on the menu, for instance but I didn't see any on the line. There is raw tuna and salmon available but those are not called out on the menu, except in the rainbow roll, which is not at all like a typical rainbow roll at an American sushi restaurant (no fish on outside). Rolls made by machine are decent but not tight. Cool idea, though, to keep costs down - no sushi chefs needed. It is a good stop for lunch or quick dinner. I would go back. Spartan interior, so this is not a date place. Reasonable price to satisfy a sushi/poke style craving if your expectations are modest. I hope they improve the process and menu-ing and have great success. read more

After driving by this location of Fusian several times, I decided it was finally time to give it a go. My baby sister and I went for lunch over the weekend and I was honestly pleasantly surprised by it all. Ever since moving back to Ohio, I've been nervous about sushi and I haven't had the best experiences. So, you could imagine the nerves I had walking into a build-your-own sushi spot in the middle of Ohio. At first, the staff could have been better at explaining what I needed to do. I read the menu online before coming in and it was slightly different from what I found when I arrived. My sister even had to pull up the menu on her phone to show the gentleman what she wanted. I couldn't believe they didn't have menus out for folks to reference. While yes, it's kinda up on the wall but its still easier to figure out when its in your hands. I eventually made it through though and towards the end I did get more help from the staff. I ended up building my own roll with a California roll base. I added shrimp tempura, and fancied it up with some avocado, carrots, cream cheese, and their most popular sauce combo, spicy mayo and sweet soy. I also got a side of miso soup. The miso soup was disappointing. It lacked in flavor and wasn't very warm but... BUT! The sushi roll I made was delish! Like I could eat it again right this second! I was shocked that the shrimp tempura was as crunchy as it was. I was crossing my fingers behind by back, hoping that it wouldn't be mushy. A huge smile spread across my face after my first big bite! The veggies were fresh and it was super cool to watch the fellas behind the counter my make my meal right in front of me. No secrets when it comes to the sushi at Fusian! I've always been a big fan of Fusian. I'm from Cincinnati where they first started and I'll never forget the first time I had it when they were catering for the Western and Southern Open. Part of it may be that it was one of my first experiences with sushi, but I've always loved this place. I think friends of mine haven't been as keen on it because they are comparing it to more traditional sushi restaurants. However, I have a different outlook in that I really just view it as another fast casual restaurant. I get fusion a lot whenever I want sushi bc I can customize it. I always get the bowl just bc I think it's more bang for your buck (just a tip). I've noticed tho whenever I get ginger they PILE up the ginger and it kinda ruins the flavor of the bowl. I also reccomend getting all of your sauces on the side. Ordered carry out from the mobile app twice this week with pretty good experiences. The app is super easy to use and I had rewards for savings off making it more affordable. It's not the best sushi ever, but it is fast casual sushi done pretty well. I ordered the crispy shrimp last time, and the philly roll this time. I will say the size of the rolls, especially for the crispy shrimp one, are a bit too large in my opinion to eat like traditional sushi. If I try to eat the whole thing in one bite it's not quite as enjoyable, however cutting them in half doesn't always work out the best either depending on the roll. I go back and forth. I did think the crispy shrimp was quite tasty and would recommend over the philly. Lastly, the restaurant made my orders promptly and had them ready for easy pick up in a labeled bag. I had to laugh when I recently checked into Fusian on Yelp and it said "This is your first check in here!" Because if I had Yelp back when I first discovered Fusian, it would have been at least my 50th check in! I first discovered Fusian circa 2015 when they came to my workplace and offered sushi there. I asked the guy some questions and he said they had a location in Grandview, not too far from where I live. I loved my sushi that day so much that I found the Fusian in Grandview and got it for dinner 21 nights in a row! Yes you heard me right! It was that good! And eventually it got to the point where I didn't want to break my streak! lol! But eventually I did get over it. I've gone many times since and it's still one of my favorite places to go for a relatively healthy meal. I say "relatively" because I love the cream cheese and sweet soy sauce! I also now joined the SOS gym next door, so I've been coming here more often after some of my evening classes. My favorite is the salmon roll with avocado, cucumber, cream cheese and chives. They also recently added sweet potatoes and I've been getting that as well! I always add the sweet soy sauce and sesame seeds. Yum! Is it the best sushi I've ever had?
