After getting a number of messages and calls from other providers, I went with Jacob at BrightCrest. His message he sent was very up front with all the information on his side that was helpful for me - the initial service fee, website and phone number to reach him all laid out tranparently. When I called, her picked up right away and told us he could be there later that day. He arrived within the window of time he told us, got to work immediately and was quick to identify the problem. He then let us know he would need to order two parts and made sure to show us the cost of each before ordering them. We really appreciated the transparency! The parts arrived the next day and he was able to come back out the morning after that to fix the fridge. Jacob seems to be a man of his word and we were very happy with his service!

From start to finish, the service was exceptional. The company did a terrific job communicating with us by text, and the technicians arrived exactly when they said they would. They were pleasant, polite, professional, and clearly very knowledgeable. What we especially appreciated was the time they took to show us exactly what was wrong with each appliance and explain the appropriate repair. We never felt pressured into unnecessary work. Their recommendations were practical and straightforward, and the final cost was extremely reasonable. We appreciated their fair pricing every bit as much as their skill and expertise. It is such a relief to know that if another appliance needs attention, we now have a capable, trustworthy, and reputable company to call. Rapid Fix has absolutely earned our future business. Five stars and our highest recommendation!

Highlights: 1. Pushy (daily messages)…read more2. No upfront price/quote 2. In the end, shady pricing and they cannot give you the reason/breakdown of the cost They are a bit pushy messaging everyday but the gentleman arrived promptly at the scheduled time which made up for it. He was friendly and communication was clear. The dishwasher ended up having a loose connection that was tightened but was a little moreccomplicated due to how the dishwasher was recessed (was previously replaced 2 years prior so it's not too difficult). The whole repair probably took a little over an hour and I expected to pay close to what the others quoted but to my surprise he was charging us a premium. When I questioned the price the gentleman stated he made a mistake and he quoted me the price he would of charged if he went out to source a part. Last I checked he never left the kitchen..? This kind of shady practice is why a lot of us consumers are weary and ask for up front pricing. I still ended up paying more than I would of but it was simply to end the contract. I cannot in good conscience recommend SkillRam. EDIT - Response to owner First of, no quote was provided beforehand and I can screenshot the whole conversation. Did you also forget that was the same conversation where you took the liberty to schedule 10am despite the fact that I clearly stated "anytime AFTER 12pm" forcing me to care for my child while balancing this repair. Second, the gentleman backtracked on the price when I questioned it and stated the $320 price was due to an extra charge to source parts. Please dont claim you are innocent because I have the receipts to prove my claim. What an awful way to do business. FINAL UPDATE Stop trying to edit your replies multiple times, you know I get a notification each time, right? Admit that you dropped the ball and were shady.

Update to my previous review: I was contacted by the business and was told that the reason for…read moretheir lack of communication was due to being a victim of a cyberattack. As I had no other way to verify this, I took them at their word and accepted their explanation. For full transparency, however, it is worth noting that this communication came less than 24 hours after I had posted my initial review. The repair technician arrived at my home the same day, and spent approximately 90 minutes going back over the previous repair work and going much more in-depth in this second go-round. After completing the work, he explained what he did, what he found, and then ran a cycle through my dishwasher. The next day, I ran another cycle, and the leaking issue had been fixed. As I am someone who does believe in giving people and businesses second chances and opportunities, and because I have seen them perform excellent and professional work before (see my original review), I am likely to give them my business at least once more to see that this experience is an outlier and not their typical course of business.

He would not provide the part numbers he required and he used part names that I could not find on the Bosch website. He left the dishwasher disassembled and disconnected from the kitchen sink drain. Bad: * Slow to reply (contacted via website form) * Called first despite asking for contact to be email; responsive via email once going * Arrived before scheduled window (did both email and call ahead, tho showed up without confirmation) * Van unmarked (as far as I saw) * Person who knocked (apprentice?) unmarked (as far as I saw); actual main person was marked * Price almost as much as a new dryer * Bill not itemized (I didn't ask); I wonder if I ended up paying for an estimate despite the fact their website says it's free (or that's how I read it) - if not the price was even rougher Good: + Work was as desired + Friendly & polite + Switched to more advantageous coupon; despite that price comment above remains + Explained things, showed worn part after swap. Cleaned up after selves (even better than it started). Of note (not bad or good for me but may be worth knowing): = Had the part so were able to diagnose and repair same day = Upsell (4 parts instead of the 1 asked for, but with wear in mind probably worth) = Person scheduling was same as the service person (sign of a small company likely) = Website makes me wonder if they are Whirlpool certified or just use the closest language they can and not be to draw you in = Technicians were speaking a non-English language between themselves = Took a phone call while on the job = 90 day warrentee "same as the part when we buy it" TLDR; ok company, I almost hope they made some money on me and use it to become better overall. I feel like appliance companies specialize in knowing how much a new appliance is and charging just slightly less than it's worth the hassle to get a new one (in addition to doing good work [hopefully]) - no exception here (price around $400). It is hard to give above 3* ("OK") with that in combination with the above. But probably 3.5*.

Sunny was confident that he knew the problem with both the ice maker and dryer but needed some parts. He returned and fixed the dryer and said he fixed the ice maker. We called Sunny, he said he thinks he knows the problem but needs a part and call back next week. I called. I left messages. I texted. I emailed. I was ghosted. I looked into small claims court.
